【举例】①Why are you so sleepy, Danny? 丹尼,你为什么这么困倦呢?②This is a sleepy village, isn’t it? 这是一个寂静的小村庄,是吗?2. She told me to drink plenty of water and have a good rest. 她告诉我多喝水并且要好好休息。
【用法】这句话用不定式作宾语补足语,句式tell somebody to do something 意为“告诉某人做某事”;如果表示“告诉某人不要做某事”则用句式tell somebody not to do something。
除动词tell外,ask, want, order等也有这种用法。
