非限制性定语从句非限定性定语从句：非限定性定语从句的作用是对所修饰的成分作进一步说明，通常和主句间用逗号隔开，将从句拿掉后其他部分仍可成立引导非限制性定语从句的关系代词有as，which，who，whom，whose等，作定语从句的主语、宾语、表语及定语。

关系副词有when，where等，作定语从句的状语。

关系代词和关系副词在定语从句中一般不能省。

一. which引导的非限定性定语从句来说明前面整个句子的情况或主句的某一部分，这时从句谓语动词要用第三人称单数。

that不能用于引导非限制性定语从句。

1 .He seems not to have grasped what I meant, which greatly upsets me.2. Liquid water changes to vapor, which is called evaporation.液态水变为蒸汽，这就叫做蒸发。

3．Dorathy was always speaking highly of her role in the play，，of course，（）made the other s unhappy．A．who B．which C．this D．what二. 有时as也可用作关系代词一、as引导非限制性定语从句时，可以代主句的全部或部分内容。

常表说话人关于说话的依据、态度、评论、看法等。

有“正如、像”等意思。

定语从句可以置主句句首、句中或句末。

as后常接expect，know，report，say，see等动词的主、被动语态句。

三、as，which是指代主句内容的非限制性定语从句时，表依据、评论与表事实、状态等没有多大差别，又在主句末时，有时可以通用。

1．He is quite pleased，as ／which can be seen from his face．2．You always work hard，as ／which everyone knows．但是，上面两句把定语从句置主句句首时，就只能用as。

3．This elephant is like a snake，as anybody can see．4．Bamboo is hollow，which makes it very light．注意：在否定意义的非限制性定语从句里，一般用which引导。

5．He came to my birthday party，which I didn't expect at all．我完全没有想到，他来参加我的生日聚会了。

被修饰的名词或代词叫先行词，定语从句一般放在先行词的后面.二、定语从句的关系词关系词常有3个作用：1，引导定语从句。

引导定语从句的关系词有关系代词和关系副词，常见的关系代词包括that，which，who（宾格whom，所有格whose）等;关系副词包括where，when，why等。

关系代词和关系副词放在先行词及定语从句之间起连接作用，同时又作定语从句的重要成分。

三、定语从句的分类根据定语从句与先行词的关系，定语从句可分为限制性定语从句及非限制性定语从句。

1.限制性定语从句紧跟先行词，主句与从句不用逗号分开，从句不可省去，限定性定语从句是先行词在乎义上不成短少的定语，假如去掉的话，主句的意义就不完全，意义就表述不明。

这类句型普通定语从句紧接先行词，如：I was the only person in myoffice who was invited.2.非限定性定语从句主句与从句之间有逗号分隔，起弥补申明感化，如省去，意义仍完全。

非限制性定语从句。

它与主句的关系不十分密切，只是对其附加说明，也就是讲即便去掉定语从句，句意也不受影响，仍然清晰明了。

这样的定语从句要在它和主句之间加一逗号分开。

且关系代词不引导这种非限制性定语从句，如：Michael Jaskon，who is the greatest singer in the world，passed away in 2010.如：Mary lived in the city of Hongkong，where used to be a small poor countryside.4、干系代词的用法1.that既可以用于指人，也可以用于指物。

在从句中作主语或宾语，作主语时不可省略，作宾语可省略。
