教学内容:通过听力,获得关于星光镇的信息;并根据所获得的信息完成日记的缺失部分。学会谈论自己和朋友的过去和现在,进行对比。

一、 教学目标

1学会根据听到的内容记笔记,并完成信息记录表

2学会谈论过去和现在的变化

3引导学生用我们的头脑和双手去朝着好的方向去努力改变。

二、教学过程

Teaching objectives:

1. Knowledge objectives:

To get useful information about the changes to Starlight by listening.

2. Ability objectives:

(1) To learn to take notes and finish the diary by getting information.

(2) To learn to talk about one’s own and one’s friend’s past and present.

3. Value objectives:

(1) To learn to use our heads and hands for better changes

Teaching Procedures Designing aims

Step1: Lead in

1. Show pictures about Sunshine Town to talk about the changes 通过讨论图片的方式帮助学生回忆阳光镇的变in Sunshine town.

(There

were

some

small

restaurants

and

shops years ago. And There were a post office and a cinema in

the town centre. Now the government has turned part of the

town centre into a new park.)

2. T: Sunshine Town has changed a lot. Many amazing changes

have taken place over the years. Today we’re going to learn

about a new place – Starlight town.

3. Show pictures about Starlight Town and try to describe the

pictures by answering the question “what can you see in the

picture?”

4. Divide the descriptions into three parts and teach three new

words. 化,由此导入本课时的内容。对于图片的描述,是学生对之后要听的材料有个初步了解,鼓励学生用形容词来描述所看到的事物,有利于为听力做好铺垫。最后把描述分为三方面,教授新单词environment,

transport,condition ,

促使学生更好的理解生词。

Step2: Listening

1. Before listening, ask students to look at the pictures and read

the text first, then guess the answers.

2. Tell them two tips

3. Listen and complete Part A 1 and A2

5. Check the answers and read Part A1and A2.

听之前让学生浏览所听材料,并猜测所需填写得内容,提醒学生听力得小技巧,有利于提高听力得准确度.

Step3:Practice

1. T: Now we’ve learnt about Starlight Town’s past and present.

What has changed in the transp ort ,the environment and the

living conditions there? Please discuss in groups of four.

Eg: In the past, people travelled by bus or bicycle, but now

they can take the bus, the taxi or even the train.

2. Finish part A3.

T: Now we’ve learnt a lot about Starlight Town. Let’s complete

Kitty’s diary entry about Starlight Town.

3. Check the answers together and explain some difficult phrases 组织学生四人一组用自己的言语将星光镇的现在和过去做一个对比,从环境、交通方式和居住条件三方面展开。给学生提供一个模版,便于操作。这一环节促使学生对所听的材料起到巩固作用,对于之后的练习,也起到了铺垫。最后的讨论既为语言知识and sentences. 4.

Step5: Lead in

T: Starlight Town has changed a lot. Our life has changed too. I

have a best friend at primary school. She went abroad at 14

years old .Last week, she returned from Canada. We are very

happy to see each other again. Do you know how we keep in

touch with each other ?

S: 教师在阐述中教授单词和短语,并联系实际操练了短语。

Step6:Listening

1. T: Millie met her old friend Becky last week. She’s telling

Sandy about Becky. Let’s listen to their conversation, and

answer some questions.

1) When did Millie and Becky last see each other?

2) Why hasn’t Millie seen Becky for such a long time?

3) How does Mille communicate with Becky?

2. Read after the tape and then read the conversation in roles

听读结合,熟悉整个对话过程,并且再次巩固新单词和短语。

Step 7: Practice

1. Make up a dialogue.( try to use return from, go abroad, see

each other, keep in touch with, make communication much

easier, exactly)

2. Present the dialogue. 两人一组进一步发挥想象,谈谈自己的老朋友,鼓励多用今天所学的词汇。学生学会使用所学语言用于表达实际生活。

Step8: Conclusion

Our life has changed a lot , some changes are good, but some are

bad. We should use our heads and hands for better changes!
