一、 学情分析:

作为八年级的学生,首次接触if引导的条件状语从句,在接受上会有一些难度,这就要求教师在引入的时候要多从学生的角度思考。根据“Talk about

consequences”这一语言目标,鼓励学生展开想象,对某一条件下产生的结果进行大胆的判断。

二、 单元分析:

本单元通过“Talk about consequences” 来学习if 引导的条件状语从句,掌握用be going to 来表示将来的时态,正确使用情态动词should。从学生熟悉的party 出发到对于未来职业选择的探讨,鼓励学生做出自己的决定,并对这一决定所带来的结果进行讨论和评判。该话题贴近学生生活,鼓励学生对未来的生活展开丰富的想象。其中,对于生活中重要内容的探讨和为慈善活动寻找金点子设计海报等不失为德育教育的好素材。

本单元的核心语言项目是“I’m going to dance with Ann. If you do, you'll have

a great time. Are you going to the party? You should wear your cool pants…”,主要话题是“Decision making”。Section A 中用”If you do, you will… You

should…”句型及对话来谈论学生熟悉的party,使学生在完成任务的同时学习语言,并培养学生树立正确的人生观。

三、 本课时设计思路及理论依据:

这是一堂听说课。首先通过设置为班上一个学生过生日,你准备去参加她的生日聚会的情景,导入新课If you go to the party, you will have a great

time! 然后运用多媒体呈现和介绍听力中涉及的生词jeans, let…in,

organize等,并设置一些情景导入新句型“ If you do…, you will do…”。从而直接过渡到语法归纳:if条件状语从句,主句用一般将来时,从句用一般现在时。在此基础上用听力形式巩固语法。再结合课文插图以Pair work操练语法。然后通过两个任务进行语言的产出活动,学以致用。最后以Chant突出和归纳本课重点句型“ If you do…, you will do…”。使学生在轻松愉快的气氛中学得新知。

四、 教学目标

1、 语言技能目标

(1) 能用if 引导的条件状语从句来作出假设,用will 来谈论结果,如:If you

do, you’ll be late.

(2) 能用“You should …”给出建议,如: You should wear cool pants.

(3) 能用“I think I’m going to …”来表达作出的决定,如:I think I’m

going to the party with Karen and Ann.

(1) 正确运用if 引导的条件状语从句,如:If you do, you will have a great

time.

(2) 正确运用表示将来时态的句型,如:I’m going to wear my new jeans.Are

you going to the party? Yes, I am.

(3) 运用what对if引导的句子所产生的结果进行提问,如:What will happen

if they have a party tonight?

(4) 正确运用情态动词 should,如:You should wear your cool pants.

3、 情感态度目标

(1) 本单元 Section A 主要围绕“ party ”展开话题,贴近学生实际生活,可以提高他们的学习兴趣,用英语来表达自己的意愿;

(2) 参与“charity event”的金点子活动海报设计,培养学生的爱心;

(3) 参与对人生重大事件的讨论,帮助学生树立正确的人生观。

了解国外学生在开 party 时应遵守的规则,同时和国内的规则进行比较,了解中西方文化之间的差异。

(3)话题:关于参加party和今后择业的讨论。

T: What is your name? (Ask one student.)

T: What’s the weather like today?

Ss: Yes , we’d love to.

T: I think if you go to the party, you’ll have a great time.

T: Today we are going to learn Unit 5 If you go to the party,

you’ll have a great time!

on the blackboard.)

Step Two: New words and drills

1. Present the new words

T: I have a piece of good news. Our school will have a party. I will

wear jeans to the party. What’s the meaning of “jeans”?

S1: 牛仔裤

(Show a picture of a pair of jeans on the screen.)

T: Yes, that’s right. Read after me, jeans-jeans.

T: For example: a pair of jeans, wear jeans. But if I wear jeans to

the party, the teacher won’t let me in. What’s the meaning of

“let… in”?

(Show let…in 允许……进入 on the screen.)

T: At the party, I will organize the party games. I’m sure you will

like them and have a great time. What’s the meaning of

“organize”?

S1: “组织”.

(Show “organize”组织on the screen)

T: Yes, you’re right. Read after me, organize- organize.

Ss: Organize-organize.

T: For example, organize the party (games).

(Show “organize the party (games)”组织聚会(游戏)on the

screen.)

2. Present the new drills “If you do …, you will do …

T: It will be sunny tomorrow.

(Show a picture of the sun )

T: We will have a trip tomorrow.

(Show a picture of the trip.)

T: So we can say: We will have a trip if it is sunny tomorrow.

由师生对话自然导入新课。

设置情境并借助多媒体辅助教学单词。

4 (Put the two sentences together.)

T: Next I often get up at 8:00 on weekends. When do you get up?

S1: I get up at 9:00.

T: What will happen if you get up at 9:00 on weekdays?

S1: If I get up at 9:00, I will be late.

T: What will happen if you are late.

S1: If I am late, the teacher will be angry with me.

T: What will happen if the teacher is angry with you?

S1: If the teacher is angry with me, I will be sad.

T: Who can know the rule?

(Show the four sentences on the screen and then ask the

students to find the rules.)

S1: if 条件状语从句, 主句用一般将来时,从句用一般现在时。

T: In if clause we can use the Simple Present Tense, and we can

use the Future Tense in main clause.

3. Practice the drills

1) Practice the grammar

T: Now let’s practice. Look at the picture. I will work late until

midnight.

(Ask what will happen if I work late until midnight.)

S1: You will be tired if you work late until midnight.
