Unit 5 If you go to the party,you’ll have a great time.

教学指导思想和理论依据:

一 任务型的教学。它是一种以人为本的,能体现语言价值的、先进的、有效的教学途径;任务型教学就是以具体的任务为学习目的,以完成任务的过程为学习过程,以应用为动力,以应用为目的,以应用为核心的教学途径。我把任务型语言教学理论应用于英语教学,并依据课程的总体目标,创造性地设计了许多贴近学生实际的任务型教学活动,贯穿于英语教学的各个环节,既深化课文、活化教材,又使英语课堂生动有趣,学生通过亲身体验、实践、合作与探究等方式学习和使用英语,学习效果特别明显。 在整个课程中,我遵循任务教学的几大原则。做到:

(一) 以学生为主体原则。创造性地设计贴近学生生活、学习经历和社会实际的任务活动,能引起学生的共鸣和兴趣,激发全体学生积极参与的欲望。

(二) 言语、情景真实性原则。语言情景、语言形式等要符合交际的功能和规律,反映学生的现实生活。使学生在一种自然、真实或模拟真实的情景中体会语言、掌握语言的应用。

(三) 阶梯型任务链原则。任务的设计应由简到繁,又易到难,层层深入,形成由初级任务到高级任务并由高级任务涵盖初级任务的循环。在语言技能方面,应当先输入后输出,遵循先听、读、后说、写的设计顺序,使教学阶梯式地层层递进。

二 反馈控制原理。只有对教学过程进行有效控制,才能使系统有序,保证其组织性,及时纠正学习出现的偏差,采取补救的措施,直至达到预期的教学目标。教学过程系统的控制主要通过教师与学生之间的信息联系,并以反馈为基本方式来实现的,是根据过去的运作情况调整将来的行为的一种方法。根据此原理,我在本节课中,安排了造句比赛和句子接龙。请学生通过小组合作的方式完成并用书面形式表达出来。既训练学生的口语表达和沟通合作能力。又训练了书面表达的能力。并且通过当堂练习进行反馈。我能及时发现教学中存在的问题,并给予补救。

教学背景分析:学生在正式接触if引导的条件状语从句之前,已经接触过when引导的时间状语从句以及if 引导的条件状语从句。所以大部分学生是对此知识点是有一定的了解的。但是未对此知识点进行概括和总结。也缺乏系统的练习。因此,系统地,有难度梯度地呈现if 条件状语从句时非常必须的。在新知识的呈现之后,还要帮助学生进行课堂练习以检测学生的掌握情况如何。

1 Teaching Goals

Knowledge Goals: let sb in, organize party games,

The usage of “if ” conditional attributive clause:

eg If it rains tomorrow, I won’t go shopping.

If he comes to your party, please call me.

If she returns to Xinyu next week, you must tell me.

Ability Goals: listening, speaking,reading,writing &cooperating

Moral Goals: students will understand it’s important to spend time with friends together.

Friendship is very important for a person.

2 Teaching Important Points

The usage of “if” conditional attributive clause:主句用一般将来时,情态动词或祈使句时,if引导的条件状语从句用一般现在时表将来。 3 Teaching Difficult Points

How to guide students find the rules of “if” conditional attributive clause. And students can

use the negative forms of “if” conditional attributive clause correctly.

4 Teaching Methods

Listening,conversation,competition ,reading,groupwork &fan-tan game.

5 Teaching Aids

PPT, tape recorder, prizes.

6 Teaching Procedures

Step 1: Warming-up and Lead-in

First greet students and guide the topic to “nervous”. Then talk about “nervous,happy & sad”.

If I am nervous, I will hiccup.

If I am sad, I will cry my heart out.

If I am happy, I will clap my hands, stomp my feet and shout “hurray”.

And sing “ If you are happy ”to students and guide students to clap hands,stomp feet and

shout “hurray”.

Step 2 : Presentation

T: But sometimes you won’t be happy,when ……

Show pictures to students and ask questions , then guide students to answer with

“if”conditional attributive clause.

If I am late , my teacher will be angry with me.

If I do, my teacher will be angry with me.

T: So don’t be late for school. This is one of the school rules.

Show “jeans ”to students.

T: What about wearing jeans? Can you wear jeans in our school?

Next ,present the phrase:let sb in

Then guide students to make sentences:

If I wear jeans in our school, my head teacher won’t let me in.

If I do, my head teacher won’t let me in.

T: So you can’t wear jeans on weekdays. When can you wear jeans?

Then guide the topic to the weather of this weekend.

T: What will you do if it’s sunny this weekend?

Show pictures and have a free conversation with students.

I think I am going to stay at home.

If you do , you’ll be bored.

I think I am going to exercise.

If you do, you’ll be healthy and strong.

Then, guide students to talk about “party”:

I think I am going to have a party /organize a party.

If you do, you’ll have a good time/have a great time/enjoy yourselves/have fun.

Next, help students organize a party: what do we need ?

Students may have these ideas:

make some food, buy some drinks and snacks, organize party games, play party

games……

Next,present more activities for students: Watch a video, invite some friends , invite some famous stars……

And lead the topic to :

Show pictures:

If Xiaoshenyang comes to our party, you must tell me.

If Liu Xing comes to our party ,please call me.

Finally ,help students find the key word “if” and the rules of “if” conditional attributive

clause: 主句用一般将来时,情态动词或祈使句时,if引导的条件状语从句用一般现在时表将来。

Step 3: Practice & Competition

Show pictures to students:

What will you do if you have much money?

Guide students to talk about it with “if” conditional attributive clause.

eg. If I have much money ,I will buy a big house.

……

Then have a competition of making sentences. First, give one example for students.
