1. A joke for the Ss to enjoy. Thus students can have an interest in the topic, Laughter is good for you. 2. Free talk. Students can talk freely about anything that makes people laugh and share their views. Step 2. Self-learning 自主先学 1. Get students read the four pictures and study the four posters one by one . 2. Discuss the main content of each picture in pairs, try to express them in their own words. 3. Find out much more information from each picture. Step 3.Group discussion 小组讨论 1. Divide them into different groups focusing on each picture 2. Search for the shared material 3. Learn to ask questions around the topic of each pictures, pay attention to other extra information Step 4. Presentation 交流展示 Ss present their discussion result group by group. Each group gives a report about the picture: P1: Questions: who do you think the man is ? What kind of expression is the man wearing ? Where is he standing? What is he doing Step 5. This unit is mainly about laughter’s function, so it is very interesting and people can share their opinions about the hot topic to contribute their views about the society. Meanwhile, we can organize them to discuss what is the main function of the comedy why it is for, discuss the relationship between them and find out what contributes to health. Students are very excited to express their views in classroom, they like something humorous and they can laugh and share their humor side
