Ladies and gentleman, please be seated. Since we are already a bit late, we
should like to begin the present session immediately.

Mr.A and Mr.B are asked to serve as recording secretaries. Are there any
objections?

Since the majority of the required number is present ( since we have a quorum),
the meeting is formally declared to be convened.

Call to order. We shall now turn to the main business of the meeting and I
suggest that our procedure should follow generally the same line as last year.

The present convention is our fourth convention.

The purpose of this plenary session( general assembly) is to make a general
review of our activities during this past year, and to propose new plans for

All of you! Please exchange your ideas very frankly regarding the problems we
now face.
请大家面对实际问题坦率交换意见。
Let’s discuss our problems frankly and clearly, and in this way work towards a

After hearing the candid opinions of those with firsthand experience, we shall
enter into discussion and seek a solution.

We sincerely hope that all here present will feel free to speak candidly. Also, we hope that we can have a constructive analysis of conflicting views. It is only
through this open exchange that we can hope to make this conference a success.
