to stuy my lessons. Because I'm going to be Grade Nine at the beginning of the new term. It's the most important term for me

there as a cleaner. I worked eight hours a day for three weeks. This job was boring and seemed endless, which made me so

tired that I nearly stopped it half way. But, I stuck to it with determination. Every day I started to work early in the morning and

got home late in the evening. Finally, I finished the job before the new school term. Now, I realize what labor means. I think it

暑假伴随着夏日的炎热来临。在这个对学生来说特殊的假日里，我虽然没有外处旅行，读很多本书，但是每天的生活还算是怡悦，充盈。偶尔出去散心，偶尔独自静坐，偶尔到公园游览，偶尔在黄昏下欣赏红霞。

但这个天，是特殊的。

8月15日，是一个对母亲来说很特殊的日子——她的生日。虽然母亲从来都不以为意，但我还是决定要为母亲庆祝。这不，从前一天晚上我便开始了行动：我特意将闹钟定时来督促我提早起床。我轻手轻脚的移步到厨房，生怕有声响将母亲从梦中吵醒。在我的满心期待下，我做了一顿丰盛的早餐。当母亲的房门缓缓打开后，映入眼帘的一幕便是我站在桌子的一旁等候母亲就餐。母亲一头雾水地顺从着我的安排，满脸疑惑的问道：“今天太阳打西边出来了？无事献殷勤，非*即盗。说，有什么请求？”这次是换成我满脸疑惑了，说道：“今天是你的生日，忘了？”这时母亲的神情才从疑惑转为恍然大悟，甚至眼角还溢有泪水。看着这样的母亲，我的心中很是羞愧。我仅仅做了这样一件小事，母亲便感动得快要哭了，看来我对母亲平时的关心太少了，很少能体会到母亲为我的操劳。忙碌的母亲甚至连自己的生日都忘了，可却从来都没有忘记相关于我的每一件小事。细细看去，母亲的青丝中仿佛又多夹杂了几根银丝。

今天母亲还是要上班的。等到黄昏时分，满脸倦容的母亲一踏入家门，便看见了我与父亲一起推出了一个大生日蛋糕。虽然母亲不大习惯，但是仍满心欢喜的许了愿。我虽不知道母亲的愿望是什么，但我想一定是为了这个家。在烛光下，母亲的脸上仿佛又爬上了几道皱纹。 在整个暑假中，这个天对我来说意义重大。并不是因为悟出了什么大道理，而是因为我发觉母亲在平时对我无微不至的关怀，发现了母亲的容颜正在被时间迅速吞噬，也深刻体悟到亲情是一种对家人的奉献。

I spent this summer vacation in quite a different way. I used

to run about every day in previous summer vacations, but this

summer vacation I simply could not afford to do so. I would soon

be in the last year of my high—school education and would after

start early to make myself well prepared by reviewing all those

things I had learned at school and this summer vacation was the
