设计创新Z/I DMCII 230属于DMC 二代相机系列，包含5个下视镜头：红、绿、蓝和近红外4个多光谱镜头和一个高分辨率的全色镜头。

每个多光谱镜头都有一个专用滤色镜；CCD 大小为6096×6846（旁向×航向）；像元个数42M ；像元大小7.2um ；焦距45mm 。

每个多光谱镜头各自使用一个压电驱动快门以进行自动自检校，并且使5个相机镜头的曝光时间保持同步。
