Since the world has changed so much in the past fifty years, advice our grandparents can give us is not useful. There is a common expression that goes, "with age comes wisdom." Wisdom is the ability to use your past experience to make good decisions about your future.Regardless of how much the world has changed in the past fifty years, I still believe the advice my grandparents can give me is good.My grandparents have had a lot of experiences and survived a lot ofhardships. When my great grandmother died young, my grandmother had to grow up fast and help raise her brothers and sisters. This was during the Great Depression, when people had to save every penny just to be able to get by. My grandmother has talked with me about how she got through these hard times, and by listening to her stories I have learned many valuable lessons. I have learned to value the things that I have and to work hard for things that I want. When it comes to taking care of my family, I always ask my grandmother for advice. My grandparents are also a good resource for advice, because they have been around longer and, therefore know more of the world. In my studies, I may have had the opportunities to travel all over the world. While both of my grandfathers have not traveled as much as me, that does not mean they have not experienced the world.During World War II, both of my grandfathers were stationed abroad. They not only lived in Europe for a long period, but they also were able to interact with troops of foreign armies. They did not have the educational opportunities that I have had, but that does not mean that I know more about the world than they do.Admittedly, there are some areas in which I cannot go to my grandparents for advice, namely technology. Cell phones and computers were not around until my grandparents retired, so they have never had to use this kind of technology for work or study. While my grandparents have tried to keep up with the times, they are certainly not experts. Whenever I visit my grandmother, for example, she always asks me to fix her computer. I would say the only thing I cannot go to my grandparents for advice is anything concerning technology.Even though there are certain areas in which my grandparents are not that well informed, this does not mean that they do not have good or useful advice.Grandparents' wisdom from the experiences they have had can give us insight and help us make decisions.题目: 是否应该releasing beavers□阅读:beavers should not be released in England1.Beavers use wood build dams,这样就会block the water flow2.Beavers 会dig holes,然后使ground above 腐烂,不利于farmland3.Beavers' teeth are so strong that they will burrow in trees and thus kill the trees听力:releasing beavers的好处大于坏处1.Beavers并不会在每条河流中build dams,很多build dams的河流是still的2.Beavers 通常在Long river 中,通常long river 水流很快,beavers 可以slow down the water flow,这样对农田有利3.
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Patience is not usually a good thing and we need to take actions at once.“Patience is a virtue” is a frequently used saying. In many cultures and society, patience is considered an important principal of good manners and social customs. However there are many circumstances where immediate action is required and patience can be a detriment.Another expression about patience goes, “Good things come to those who wait.” The philosophy behind this is that if you are patient and wait to assess the situation before you act, you will be rewarded. There are many instances where this principle does not apply. Take people who invest in business for example. When Facebook was first started, it was seen as an underdog compared to the other internet networking giants like Y ahoo. When the company started up, many people did not invest because they wanted to wait and see how the company got along. There were a few people that did not wait, and now they are worth billions of dollars. Sometimes while waiting for the opportune moment, you miss the biggest opportunities. In the case of business ventures, good things come to those who act.Politics and international relations is another area that most people say require patience. However there are several instances in history that prove a patient country sometimes regrets waiting. During the 1930s, for example, Hitler became increasingly aggressive towards Germany’s neighboring countries. All of Europe and even the League of Nations were reluctant to act, thinking that if they waited and appeased Hitler, then Hitler would eventually stop. In retrospect, everybody agrees that rather than patiently appeasing Hitler, countries should have acted. World War II would have been very different if countries had taken immediate action. There are instances in international relations when quick actions have resulted in disastrous results. Take for example the U.S. War in Iraq. The U.S. Government at the outset of this war rega rded this as a “pre-emptive strike” against Iraq and its Weapons of Mass Destruction program. The reasoning behind this was that if the U.S. waited to see if Iraq was actually developing these programs, then the consequence would be Iraq attacking the U.S. So the U.S. and its allies went to war in Iraq and they did not find any weapons. Their hasty actions resulted in the deaths of thousands of Iraqi civilians and a long drawn out war. Sometimes being patient is a good thing when it comes to military actions.Although there are many instances when patience is necessary, there are many occasions when immediate action is required.--By Sandy(Y u)。

Patience is a virtue that is often overlooked intoday's fast-paced world. It is the ability to remain calm and composed in the face of adversity or when things don't go as planned. Personally, I believe that patience is an essential quality that everyone should strive to possess. One of the benefits of being patient is that it allows us to think clearly and make better decisions. When we are impatient, we tend to act impulsively and make decisions that we later regret. However, when we are patient, we can take the time to weigh our options and choose the best course of action.Another benefit of patience is that it helps us tobuild better relationships with others. When we are patient with people, we show them that we value their time andtheir feelings. This can lead to stronger and moremeaningful relationships. In my own life, I have seen the benefits of patience firsthand. For example, when I was in college, I had a difficult time with one of my professors. I found him to be condescending and unapproachable. However, instead of reacting with anger or frustration, I decided to be patient and try to understand his perspective. Over time, I was able to build a better relationship with him, and he became one of my favorite professors. In conclusion, patience is a virtue that is often overlooked but is essential for success in life. It allows us to make better decisions, build stronger relationships, and overcome adversity. So, if you want to be successful in life, be patient!
Patience is usually not a good strategy. We should take action now rather later.
因此我同意前半部分陈述in terms of a somewhat negative attitude involved。
To begin with, I have to admit that to challenge and question such a precious quality as patiencereally demands courage and insights.首先,前半个assertion is indeed insightful and thought-provoking in that it reveals the negativesides of patience which people usually take for granted as a precious personal quality。
Being patient under this circumstances typically means just waiting to…然而如果能够主动地选择其他的途径的话,situations will be better off。

英语作文关于patiencePatience is a Virtue。
In today's fast-paced world, patience is a virtue that seems to be in short supply. We live in an age of instant gratification, where everything is just a click away, and waiting has become a foreign concept. However, patience is not only a virtue but also an essential life skill that can lead to personal growth and success. In this article, we will explore the importance of patience and how it can positively impact various aspects of our lives.First and foremost, patience is crucial in achieving our goals. Whether it is pursuing a career, learning a new skill, or building relationships, success rarely comes overnight. It requires perseverance, dedication, and above all, patience. Without patience, we may become easily discouraged by setbacks and give up on our dreams. Patience allows us to stay focused and motivated, even when faced with obstacles and challenges along the way.In addition to achieving our goals, patience plays a significant role in our personal relationships. In today's digital age, communication has become instantaneous, and we expect immediate responses from others. However, real connections take time to develop and nurture. Patience allows us to listen attentively, understand others' perspectives, and build meaningful relationships based on trust and respect. It enables us to be more empathetic and considerate, fostering stronger bonds with our loved ones.Furthermore, patience is essential in managing our emotions and maintaining inner peace. We often find ourselves in stressful situations that test our patience, such as traffic jams, long queues, or dealing with difficult people. However, reacting impulsively and losing our temper only adds fuel to the fire. By practicing patience, we can maintain a calm and composed demeanor, allowing us to think rationally and make better decisions. Patience gives us the power to control our emotions rather than letting them control us.Moreover, patience is closely linked to personal growth and self-improvement. It teaches us the value of perseverance and resilience in the face of adversity. When weencounter setbacks or failures, patience encourages us to learn from our mistakes and keep moving forward. It enables us to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth and development. Without patience, we may become easily discouraged and miss out on valuable lessons and experiences that contribute to our personal growth.Additionally, patience is essential in the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom. In an age where information is readily available, we often expect immediate answers to our questions. However, true knowledge is acquired through patience and continuous learning. It requires time and effort to delve deep into a subject, explore different perspectives, and gain a comprehensive understanding. Patience allows us to appreciate the process of learning and to value the knowledge gained through patience and perseverance. In conclusion, patience is indeed a virtue that holds immense value in our lives. It is a skill that enables us to achieve our goals, build meaningful relationships, manage our emotions, foster personal growth, and acquire knowledge. In a world that values instant results, patience may seem like a rare commodity. However, by cultivating patience, we can lead more fulfilling and successful lives. Let us embrace patience as a guiding principle and reap the rewards it brings. Remember, patience is not just about waiting; it is about how we wait and what we do while waiting.。

It is impossible to be completely honest with your friend all the time. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

The Essence of Patience.Patience is often described as a virtue, but its true value extends far beyond a mere moral adjective. It is a fundamental aspect of human existence, shaping our perspectives, decisions, and ultimately, our destiny. In today's fast-paced world, where instant gratification and quick fixes are the norm, the need for patience has become even more pronounced. This essay delves into theintricacies of patience, exploring its various dimensions and the profound impact it has on our lives.Firstly, patience is the cornerstone of success. It is the silent partner that accompanies us through the ups and downs of life, never wavering in its support. It teaches us to persevere in the face of challenges, to persevere when others would give up. Consider the story of Thomas Edison, who famously said, "I have not failed. I've just found10,000 ways that won't work." His unwavering patience andperseverance allowed him to invent the light bulb, a feat that changed the world. Similarly, in our personal and professional lives, patience helps us navigate through difficult situations, learning from failures and moving forward with renewed determination.Patience also fosters empathy and understanding. In a world where differences and opinions often lead to conflict, patience acts as a buffer, allowing us to listen and comprehend the perspectives of others. It teaches us to be tolerant and non-judgmental, qualities that are crucial for building harmonious relationships. By exercising patience, we can avoid misunderstandings and conflicts, fostering a culture of mutual respect and understanding. Moreover, patience is essential for personal growth and development. It encourages us to take our time, to reflect and learn from our experiences. In the rush to achieve, we often overlook the value of introspection and self-improvement. Patience reminds us that growth is a gradual process, one that requires time, effort, and continuous learning. It encourages us to embrace our flaws andfailures, using them as opportunities for growth and improvement.Additionally, patience is a powerful tool for stress management. In today's high-pressure environment, theability to remain calm and composed is crucial. Patience helps us to take a step back, to breathe and reassess our responses. It teaches us to let go of minor irritations and focus on what really matters. By practicing patience, we can reduce stress and anxiety, improving our overall well-being and quality of life. However, patience does not mean sitting idly by and accepting whatever comes our way. It is about finding a balance between action and inactivity, between pushing forward and taking a moment to reflect. It is about understanding that some things require time and effort, and that rushing through them will only lead to dissatisfaction and regret. In conclusion, patience is a fundamental aspect of human existence, shaping our perspectives, decisions, anddestiny. Patience is usually not a good strategy. We should take action now rather later.
因此我同意前半部分陈述in terms of a somewhat negative attitude involved。
To begin with, I have to admit that to challenge and question such a precious quality as patience really demands courage and insights.
首先,前半个assertion is indeed insightful and thought-provoking in that it reveals the negative sides of patience which people usually take for granted as a precious personal quality。
Being patient under this circumstances typically means just waiting to …然而如果能够主动地选择其他的途径的话,situations will be better off。
然而,possible negative consequences of being patient never means we should take actions immediately, as the assertion suggests. 虽然说在有些情况下或者针对某些职业,比如战场上的军事指挥官,immediate responses are critical,但是对大多数人,大多数情况下,immediate actions are not necessary. And in fact, immediate actions often amount to impulsive or casual actions.
这就是耐心的作用:在智慧地做,谨慎地选择好方向之后,one have to use patience to finish the rest of journey to success.。
