The opening body paragraph serves as the backbone of the argument, clearly establishing the thesis statement. This statement encapsulates the main claim or assertionthat the writer intends to prove throughout the essay. For instance, a thesis statement could be: "The five-paragraph essay structure is an effective tool for constructing persuasive arguments."Body Paragraph 2: Supporting the Thesis with Evidence。

Five-Paragraph Essay SampleThe Hazards of MoviegoingBy John LanganFrom College Writing Skills with ReadingsOutline for a Five-Paragraph EssaySample Outline for a Five-Paragraph EssayMy Job in an Apple PlantBy John LanganFrom English Skills with ReadingsThe 3 Keys to SuccessPeople around the world have many different goals that they want to accomplish during their lifetime, but all these goals relate to one thing: to have a happy and successful life. Of course, this goal is not easy to achieve, but if you develop the following qualities, you will have an easier time: having a positive attitude, always being respectful and being active in the society. With these three character traits, you are most likely to accomplish what you want to.Having a positive attitude is probably the most important of the three traits. The essence of having positive attitude is optimism. One of the most important things in life is to stay happy. This may seem somewhat difficult, but you will soon realise that it is worthwhile. When faced with a difficult situation, optimistic people will never panic, making it easier to think up solutions. Suppose someone is diagnosed with a mortal disease like cancer. Normally this certain person would panic and he would be depressed for the rest of the time. Optimistic people would always look on the bright side, and might even try to ignore the fact that they are sick. That way, they could just go on with their ordinary life. Determination is another part of having a positiveattitude. It may have a connection to being optimistic, but they are actually entirely different character traits. Being determined would mean that once you set your sights on accomplishing a goal, there is nothing anybody or anything can do to stop you. The last part of having a positive attitude is to encourage others. If your friend has an opinion about something you are talking about, and you think it doesn’t make any sense, don’t reject their opinion. After all, everyone has a different point of view. Also, if your friend wants to accomplish a goal, encourage them and tell them that you believe in them. Given these few reasons, you can see that having a positive attitude is an important quality to have.Respect is another one of the key traits that can help you lead a successful life. There is an unlimited amount of ways of being a respectful person. Being respectful can mean being trustworthy. If you ask to borrow something and you return it on time and in good condition, the person who lent it to you has no reason not to lend something else to you the next time. If a friend tells you a secret, you can be trustworthy by respecting your friend’s privacy and not telling anyone else. On the other hand, being respectful can mean respecting yourself. Respecting yourself, in te first place, is having confidence and believing in yourself. If you want to accomplish a goal, yet you do not believe in what you are doing, then there is a very little point in attempting that goal. After all, what is the point in doing something if you do not want to do it? One of the things that I have not yet talked about is respecting your environment (or surroundings). Suppose you at school, in your classroom. Respecting the “environment” would mean respecting the items inside the classroom such as the computers, the desks, the chairs or the books. In addition to respecting man-made objects, respecting your environment can also mean respecting Mother Nature. Do not disturb plants in their growth and do not interfere with the affairs of the creatures around you.The last of the three key qualities is to be active (in the society). You can achieve this by always volunteering when your society needs support. For example, if you have an interest in the medical field, you may consider doing volunteer work in a hospital to get a good experience of what awaits you. After all, it is easier to learn things when you are young; it would be best if you learned something about your future job when you are doing volunteer work. Another thing that being active can mean isactually being active physically. You must stay healthy in order to have a happy and successful life. This means that you must get enough nutrition, yet still eat a balanced diet. Nevertheless, the most important part of living a healthy life is still exercise! By doing exercises, you can keep fit and live an active life. Though this character trait may seem inferior to the others, the importance of being active should not be underestimated.Be respectful, have a positive attitude and be active; these three character traits are essential to living a successful and happy life. If you possess all three of these character traits combined with effort, you can accomplish anything that you believe in.Prompt #1: The Best Day I Ever Spent With My FamilyWhat is the best day you have ever spent with your family? Life is a long time that every come from young with foolish and finally become independent. It just like a process we have to go though. Independence is important and given when we grow up, which means we can do everything we want, take care ourselves and handle our living. However, the result of being independent is accepting responsibilities in term of legal liability and our family. To be independent, many thing can be down, which can’t be imaged in the past. The first gift given by myself as an adult present is a trip to XXXXX travelled with my friend. It was the first time that I planed and down it by myself without any help of agency or my parents. It can be seen as a symbol of independence. 你愿意的话再扩展写As the only child in our family, I must be responsible to my parents. Since my father was working in Japan and some day in the future when they getting older, the burden of taking care about my family will be taken or transfer to me. The earlier I became independent and take some responsibilities the better for the future. Once in the past, my mum got illness and had to live in the hospital, s he didn’t want to eat anything. I tried to take this responsibility to take care of her, thus I cooked some insipid gruel for her, reminded her to take medicine on time and also did something for her. My father praised me so much as far as he heard abt this. This is the responsibility gaining from growing up.To me, another major symbol of independence is leaning how to dealwith so many complicated housework. Usually, my mother helps to do most of housework at home include laundry, sweeping the floors and washing dishes when I was in China. Since I came to study in US, it was a long time that I have down all the housework by myself. It was so hard to do at the first and I always make everything in trouble and mess. After a long time learning and practice, now, I can handle my living proudly. However, we need to be charged of ourselves as soon as we gain independence. The first thing we have to obey is the law, which means every action we down is governed by applicable laws. It seem conflict with independence, but the law is face to every single one and giving the rules to the world. The simplest example is we can’t heart people by an independence way. Independence is not to create the negative impacts, thus gaining independence also means accepting responsibilities. To sum up, everything has a cost behind it. Accepting responsibilities is the cost of gaining independence and it is also the limit of independence.。

英语五段式作文范文模板Title: The Five-Paragraph Essay Template。
Introduction。
The five-paragraph essay template is a structured approach to writing essays that is commonly taught in schools. It provides a clear and organized framework for students to express their thoughts and ideas in a logical and coherent manner. This template consists of an introduction, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and is a valuable tool for developing strong writing skills.Body Paragraph 1 The Introduction。
The introduction is the first paragraph of the essay and serves to grab the reader's attention and provide a brief overview of the topic. It typically includes a hook, or attention-grabbing statement, that draws the reader in and sets the stage for the rest of the essay. The introduction also includes a thesis statement, which is the main idea or argument that the essay will explore. This paragraph is crucial in setting the tone for the rest of the essay and should be clear, concise, and engaging.Body Paragraph 2 The Body Paragraphs。
As you've probably noticed, essay writing assignments can pop up in any class. An essay is a literary composition that expresses a certain idea, claim, or concept and backs it up with supporting statements. It will follow a logical pattern, to include an introductory paragraph (make the claim), a body (support), and a conclusion (summary of statements and support).English and Literature teachers use them on a regular basis, but essays are also a test tool used commonly in the social sciences, and even in math and science class.Of course, essays play a big role in the college application process, as well. In short, there's just no avoiding essays, as long as you're in school!Luckily, you can learn to craft a great essay if you can follow the standard pattern and write in a clear and organized manner.IntroductionThe introduction is the first paragraph in your essay, and it should accomplish a few specific goals.1. Capture the reader's interestIt's a good idea to start your essay with a really interesting statement, in order to pique the reader's interest.Avoid starting out with a boring line like"In this essay I will explain why Rosa Parks was an important figure."Instead, try something like"A Michigan museum recently paid $492,000 for an old, dilapidated bus from Montgomery, Alabama."The second sentence sounds much more interesting, doesn't it? It would encourage most people to keep on reading.2. Introduce the topicThe next few sentences should explain your first statement, and prepare the reader for your thesis statement."The old yellow bus was reported to be the very one that sparked the civil rights movement, when a young woman named Rosa Parks..."3. Make a claim or express your opinion in a thesis sentence.Your thesis sentence should provide your specific assertion and convey clearly your point of view."In refusing to surrender her seat to a white man, Rosa Parks inspired a courageous freedom movement that lives on, even today."BodyThe body of the essay will include three paragraphs, each limited to one main idea that supports your thesis. You should state your idea, then back it up with two or three sentences of evidence or examples.Example of a main idea:"It took incredible courage for an African American woman to make such a bold stance in 1955 Alabama."Offer evidence to support this statement:"This act took place in an era when African Americans could be arrested and face severe retribution for comitting the most trivial acts of defiance."Include a few more supporting statements with further evidence, then use transition words to lead to the following paragraph.Sample transition words:moreoverin facton the wholefurthermoreas a resultsimply putfor this reasonsimilarlylikewiseit follows thatnaturallyby comparisonsurelyyetThe fifth paragraph will be your conclusion.ConclusionThe final paragraph will summarize your main points and re-assert your main claim. It should point out your main points, but should not repeat specific examples.Once you complete the first draft of your essay, it's a good idea to re-visit the thesis statement in your first paragraph. Read your essay to see if it flows well. You might find that the supporting paragraphs are strong, but they don't address the exact focus of your thesis. Simply re-write your thesis sentence to fit your body and summary more exactly.By doing this, you will ensure that every sentence in your essay supports, proves, or reflects your thesis. The Three AfricasWhen many people hear the word Africa, they picture steaming jungles and gorillas. Hollywood films have shrunk the public image of this immense, varied continent into a small segment of its actual diversity. To have a more accurate picture of the whole continent, however, one should remember that there are, roughly, three Africas, each with its distinct climate and terrain and with a style of life suited to the environment. The continent can be divided into the northern desert areas, the southeastern grasslands, and the tropical jungles to the southwest. The northern regions have the environment and living patterns of the desert. Egypt, Libya, Algeria, and Morocco have hot, dry climates with very little land suited to farming. Therefore, the population tends to be clustered into cities along rivers or the seacoast or into smaller settlements near oases. For thousands of years, people have lived in this vast region, subsisting partly on what crops and animals they could raise and partly on trade with Europe. The southeastern grasslands provide a better environment for animal life and for some kinds of crops. Many wild animals inhabit the plains in this region--elephants, giraffes, rhinoceros, antelopes, zebras, and lions. The people in this area have long been expert cattle raisers and hunters. Tea, coffee, cotton, cashew nuts, and tobacco are some of the main products grown in this region. Fishing also provides some food and income for people along the coast. The population here is less concentrated in cities and towns than in the north, but tends to be denser in areas where adequate rainfall and fertile soil make farming possible.West Africa is the region closest to the Hollywood image of mysterious jungles. As in the other two regions, the way people subsist depends upon their environment. This does not mean that most of the people live in grass huts in the jungle. Such nations as Nigeria have become highly modernized by income from oil, timber, and minerals. Most of the western countries have some farming that provides food and income; sugar cane, coffee, and tobacco are the important cash crops, while bananas, rice, and corn are raised for food. Fishing in the rivers and along the coast also accounts for food and income, and precious stones, especially diamonds, enhance the economy of Angola and the Ivory Coast.Even a superficial look at the major regions of Africa shows that it is a varied continent with several environments. Although most of the continent is tropical in its range of temperature, the climate ranges from deserts to rain forests. Similarly, human life-styles vary from the simplest rural villages to industrial cities, both new and ancient. Contrary to the myth, however, jungle life makes up only a very small portion of the whole of Africa.。
