顺叙是指按照事件发生、发展的先后顺序进行写作。

而倒叙则指将某些后发生的细节，甚至是事件的最后结果先提到前面叙述，这样可以起到引人入胜的效果。

因此，在日记的写作过程中，一定要避免内容空洞、平铺直叙，否则就很难给人留下深刻的印象，得分不高就在所难免。

(2) 突出中心, 详略得当绝大部分日久都是记事性的。

此类日记的基本特点就是陈述过程，所以写日记时，应注意交待清楚几大点：时间(when)、地点(where)、人物(who)，然后再进一步叙述事件(what)、原因(why)和结果(how)。

另外记叙文应以记叙为主，可适当发表见解、议论和抒情，但不可过多。
