三、教材分析
本节教材为中等职业学校英语教材编写组编写的《英语基础模块3》Unit1 He decided have a big Christmas party，本模块一圣诞节为话题，介绍了一些西方传统节日的庆祝活动。这节课在学生初步掌握Unit1中所涉及的各种节日名称的基础上，进一步学习和认识各种节日的来历、庆祝方式等。根据对教材的理解，本节课的学习目标不仅要使学生能够结合音乐、图片、影视材料介绍西方的节日，还通过中国传统节日的介绍，让学生接受中西方文化的差异，具备对不同文化的包容意识。
3.Reading：阅读书上文章和做阅读练习。
4.Writing：用英文描述图片内容。

6.Unit task：角色扮演和小组活动。

8.Words and Expressions：词汇表达练习。

Egypt,France, etc.；以及由此延伸出的常见国籍的表达
或Are you from…或Is it a beautiful place询问该同学；或者用Where is she / he from 或Is he / she from…问其他同学。通过几轮练习，激活学生掌握几句基本句型。
3.请同学们看首页大图，介绍本单元课题。让学生通过标题NicePeople, Nice Places猜测本课学习内容及词汇。
利用图示理论，减少二语学习中母语的干扰。
由机械性操练过渡到半开放性操练，学生有更多思考的机会。

游戏——哪里人：教师请学生每人在卡片上写一个国家名和姓名并收集起来，例如：America, Britain等。由提问的学生抽卡片向全班出示，并用Where are you from提问；被抽到的同学按照提示回答:I’m from America. I’m American.提问同学又问：How do you find it?
