摘要
文化馆是政府设立的县级市、区一级的公益性文化事业单位，有的地区也称群众艺术馆，或者叫文化活动中心。本文结合宜城市文化馆这一建筑设计的案例，调研了湖北地区颇具代表性的两处已投入使用多年的大型文化馆，探讨了如何在当下将文化馆建筑设计与群众对于精神文化生活的新需求、新变化有机的结合起来。

Abstract
Cultural center is a county-level or district level government nonprofit cultural institutions, some area is also called the public art center, or cultural activity center. In this paper, sets the case of the Yicheng culture center design as a example, research representative two large cultural center in Hubei province which have been put into use for many years, discusses how to design cultural center building and the new demand for spiritual and cultural life of the masses in the new period ,.
At last，the paper puts forward four points need special attention in the cultural center design: architectural features, function composition, activity zoning, streamline organization.
