专题8 任务型阅读(2018·广西柳州) DTrust has been considered as the basis(基础) of any relationship, including friendship. No relationship can last long without trust. 66 Sometimes, it takes years, evena whole life to make it. We certainly know who are the people we trust. However, how do we know if others trust us?67 You may first like to talk to the friends you trust most.It is the same with your fiends.Whom do you ask for advice when you need it the most? Either your parents or your friends may first come into your mind. You only ask for advice from the people you really trust . You know they will never pass on a wrong suggestion. And so do they.68Different ideas and discussions are a part of every relationship, and this is also true for friendship. Actually, two people can’t always have the same opinions on a situation and they may share different suggestions. Sometimes some people find it hard to forgive(原谅) and forget.69 It is because they trust you and believe that you will never cause any pain to them on purpose(故意地).There are times in life when you find yourself a lonely soldier. 70 Your friends will never let you down and will strongly stand for you when you need encouragement. If they side with you when you need them the most, you can know that they trust you.根据短文内容,从下列七个选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项,并在答题卡上将其字母标号涂黑。
2019年中考英语:阅读理解训练题(8)附答案第一篇(2019中考科普环保类选练)Satellites are an important part of our ordinary lives. For example, the information for weather forecasts is sent by satellite. Some satellites have cameras which take photographs of the Earth to show how clouds are moving. Satellites are also used to connect our international phone calls.Computer connections of the World Wide Web and Internet also use satellites. Many of our TV programs come to US through satellites. Airplane pilots also sometimes use a satellite to help them find their exact location. We use satellites to send television pictures from one part of the world to another. They are usually 35,880 kilometers above the equator. Sometimes we can see a satellite in the sky and it seems to stay in the same place. This is because it is moving around the world at 11,000 kilometers an hour—exactly the same speed that the earth rotates.A satellite must orbit the Earth with its antennae facing the earth. Sometimes, it moves away from its orbit,So there are little rockets on it which are used to put the satellite back in the right position. This usually happens about every five or six days.Space is not empty! Every week, more and more satellites are sent into space to orbit the Earth. A satellite usually works for about 10-12 years. Satellites which are broken are sometimes repaired by astronauts or sometimes brought back to Earth to be repaired. You have no power and could do nothing that helps change the situation. However, you can have great power over what happens to you if you stop paying attention to whom to blame and start paying a ttention to how to improve the situation. This is the winner’s key to success.Winners are great at overcoming(克服) problems. For example, if you were late because the bus was late, maybe you need to leave home early. Or, you might call a taxi or call friends for help when in need. For another example, if your workmate causes you problems on the job for short of responsibility(责任心) or ability, find ways of dealing with his irresponsibility or inability rather than simply blame the person. Ask to work with a different person, or leave this person with some simple jobs. You should accept that the person is not reliable(可靠的) and find creative ways to work successfully regardless of how your workmate fails to do his job well. This is what being a winner is all about—creatively using your skills and talents so that you are successful no matter what happens. Winners don’t have fewer problems in their lives; they have just as many difficult situations to face as anybody else. They are just better at seeing those problems as challenges(挑战) and chances to develop their own talents. So, stop paying attention to “whose mistake it is.” Once you are confident about your power over bad situations, problems are just stepping stones for success.【小题1】According to the passage, winners .A.have responsible and able workmatesB.meet with fewer difficulties in their livesC.blame themselves rather than othersD.deal with problems rather than blame others【小题2】When your workmate brings about a problem, you should .A.blame him for his lack of responsibilityB.find a better way to overcome the problemC.tell him to find the cause of the problemD.ask a more able workmate for help【小题3】When problems happen, winners take them as .A.excuses for their mistakesB.difficulties to greater powerC.chances for self-developmentD.challenges to their workmates【小题4】Which of the following is the best title for the passage?A.A Winner’s Secret B.A Winner’s ProblemC.A Winner’s Chance D.A Winner’s Achievement【实战训练】 C“I sometimes get up at three or four in the morning and I surf the net.”“I often check my e-mail forty times a day.”“I often spend more than three hours during one time on the net.”“I spend more time in chat rooms(聊天室) than with my ‘real-1ife’ friends.”Do you know any people like these? They are part of a new addiction(瘾) called Internet addiction. Internet addicts spend at least thirty to forty hours online every week. The use of the Internet can be an addiction like drug(毒品) use. People lose control(控制) of the time they spend on the InternetFor example, one college student was missing for several days. His friends were worried, and they called the police. The police found the student in the computer lab: he was surfing the net for several days straight.Studies show that about 6 to 10% of Internet users become addicted. And people worry about the teens because the Internet is changing the playing field for some of them. They spend more time in cyberspace than in the real world of friends and family. Is “surfing the net” a hobby or an addiction for you? You may have a problem if you have these symptoms(症状):●You do not go to important family activities or you do not do school work because you like to spend hours on the Internet.●You can’t wait for your next online time.●You plan to spend a short time online, but then you spend several hours.●You go out with your friends less and less.◆根据以上短文内容,然后从每题所给的四个选项中选择最佳选项。

B
New York is one of the last large American cities to have some of its policemen on horseback. The New York police have 170 horses working in certain parts of the city.
The horses are expensive to feed, but it is even more expensive to look after them. Because the horses must walk on the streets, they need special horseshoes. In fact ,
they need more than 8,000 of them each year. Every police horse in New York gets new shoes every month. Keeping these shoes in good repair is the job of six
blacksmiths. There are only about thirty-five of these blacksmiths in the whole United States.
The cost of shoing a horse is between twenty dollars and thirty-five dollars, and it takes a good blacksmith two or three hours to do the job.
A blacksmit h’s job is not an easy one. He must be able to shape a shoe from a piece of metal and then fit it to the horse’s foot. The blacksmith must bend over all the
time when he is fitting the shoe and must hold the weight of the horse’s leg while he works. Clearly, a blacksmith must be very storng. But even more important, he must be able to deal with horses---for before the blacksmith can begin his work, he has to get the horse to lift its leg.
One of the blacksmiths in New York is James Corbin. He came to the country from Ireland in 1948. He not only makes horseshoes for the police but also works for a
group of horse owners near the city. Corbin became interested in blacksmithing because his father did it, and,as the puts it,。
