妙文翻译公司翻译样稿General safetyThe CX® section of the Plant does not require particular measures against the work accidents besides the ones normally foreseen in each installation designed and operated according to the existing safety standards.In designing the Plant, particular care has been taken in order to avoid accidents due to rotating machines, such as pumps and screw/belt conveyors, which are mechanically protected by covers.All gaseous streams which can carry over dangerous substances are collected and piped to the fumes scrubber for their washing.The following is a list of recommendation that must be followed in order to ensure personnel and environmental safety:∙all personnel working in this section of the Plant must be fully acquainted with the safety standards and must have read and understood the instructions relevant to each equipment.∙Do not proceed to any maintenance work and, least of all, to enter the equipment before it has been previously emptied and thoroughly flushed.∙The personnel should always wear the safety helmet and shoes, and protective glasses and gloves, when in the Plant area.∙Any contact with the process fluids shall be avoided. Should a leak of liquid occur, the operator shall inform the shift leader and try to fix it.∙When approaching the leaking equipment, protective means shall be used.∙Personnel shall be aware of the location of safety showers and eye-washes to be rapidly and easily reached whenever necessary.∙In case process fluids come in contact with the skin of eyes, immediately wash with plenty of drinking water, then reach the nearest first aid.∙Always wear glasses and gloves when sampling; take the maximum care when taking samples.∙Soundproof ear caps shall be available for personnel engaged with batteries crushing mill, filter press, equipment venting operations and, in any case whenever the noise level is over 85 dBA.∙Normal precautions shall be followed for rotating machines. Make sure that the covers are properly installed.∙Always inform the control room operator before starting any manoeuvre either for operation or for maintenance.∙Never disassemble a line component before having safely isolated and drained the line.∙In case of maintenance of equipment handling lead paste, besides the above mentioned safety equipment, wear also a dust mask and follow the safety norms commonly in use in lead foundry.∙Food, beverage, and tobacco products must not be present or consumed in the Plant.The list of the health and environmentally hazardous substances used in this section of the Plant includes:∙batteries: a mix of automotive and industrial lead accumulators, containing lead and lead compounds (together with weak sulphuric acid), all safety and hygiene measures prescribed for lead and acid handling shall be followed (please refer to the material safety data sheets, Appendix VII).∙Weak electrolyte: an acid H2SO4 solution (15-20% by weight), requires safety goggles (8”min. face-shield), gloves and anti-acid clothes when handled.
