assistance.What’s your situation?

B: Greeting,Captain.Thank U for your timely arrival..Due to the main

engine failure,I am not under control my vessel right now.Require

immidiate towing assistance.

A: Copy that. First, U and Ur crew member need stay calm and give us

full cooperation ,We will assure ur safety since we are here. Second.

Follow our insturction in the towing operation.Advice standby on

channel XX for further communication.

A: Now, Captain.Could U tell me ur exact positon, ur main dimentions

and particulars,ur draft(including last leaving draft and draft right now)

and What’s the situation of ur loading and carriage

B:

A: More question..I need to know the elevation/distance between ur

bow lead and water surface. Th SWL of ur bitts in the bow area.The

fairlead size. Do U have center/panama lead ? It u don’t,then How far

between ur two bitts in the bow area ? Also what is the distance from

bow lead to the nearest bitts?….over

A:After the malfunction of ur main engine,have U check the condition of

ur propeller ? Is it fixed and secured ?

A: What is the rudder angle after the failure of steering gear ? Is it

secured right now?

A: Is the auxiliary engine available ? make sure ur windlass and bow

winch are functional…And please list the available communication

device on board.

B:

A: Do U have the adequate manning of crew member? And do they

have the knowledge and experience of towing operation ?

B:

A: How many shackles of of anchor cable did you drop?

B: Port anchor 5 shackles in water

A: Captain,rescue vessel is now approaching ur postion.We will keep

close to you and begin the operation ASAP…

A: OK,here is our plan, first you need to heave up anchor until 2

shackles in water. Pay out two mooring line through the fairlead on

each side of your vessel in the bow area, then connect these two mooring line with a messenger line. Then send out the heaving line

when we are close enough. Once the messenger line is on my

vessel,We will connect your mooring line with our towing bridle using

topping lift. When everything is set,you can heave back your mooring

line which have connected with our towline.Do you understand ?

B: Understood,Sir

B: OK, rescue vessel. I have paid out two mooring line connected with a

messenger line. You can get closer to me so we can begin the towing

operation.

A: Copy that, approaching your position.

A: OK,Captain, the towline is connected.Everything is ready.You can

start to heave back your mooring line. Once the eye splice is on your

deck.Place it on your bitts.And make precautions to secure the eye

splice,prevent it from poping up. Also you need to prepare some

grease to smooth the area near fairlead. Arrange crewmen to check

the state of towline every hour. That is all.Do you understand?

B:understood!

B:Rescue vessel. The eye splice is in bitts and secured.We are ready to

weigh anchor

B: Anchor is weight

A:Copy that. Time of commencement of towage will be XXXX LT.Now I

will slowly ahead engine and speed up.Please steering to follow my

direction.

A: Captain, We are almost in designated location. I will slow down to

heave back my towline. You may arrange crewmen to prepare anchor

Place anchor just below water surface using clutch.

B:My anchor is under water right now

A:Copy that,Now your speed is under 1 knot.If the towing bridle is not

interfering, you can drop anchor.

B Anchor dropped

A: Very well, the towline is slack right now, you may cast off/let go the

towline.

B: I have cast off the towline

A: Copy that. So the work here is almost done, But I will stay close
