【学习目标】
1. To encourage the students to grasp the main topics of the three sections——types of stand-up, a
famous comedian and the fact that laughter is good for your health ；
2. To inspire the students to gain some knowledge about stand-up comedy；
3. To improve the students‟ reading ability——how to guess the meanings of new words.
【学习活动】
学习活动一——自主梳理
预习课文后完成下面练习。
本部分练习较简单，可采取两种方法校对答案：1. 教师直接呈现答案后学生自行校对后，花3分钟时间有重点地消化、巩固。2. 呈现学生的答案，学生指出错误答案，集体校对后感悟、记忆。

Activity2: First reading.
Read the passage and answer the following questions.
