Unit 2 Let’s play sportsSports in our schoolYesterday , our school basketball school team played against the other teams . The day before yesterda, they went to school . They not went for lessons , but to practiced basketball . They all arrived as early as they can so that they had time to warm up . They trained harder than usual because the other team beat them last year . This year they want to do better . Their coach is pleased because they played better as a team . So they beat the other teams. This is our school sports .Sports (1)Sports do us good in many respects. It goes without saying that taking exercises can build up our physical strength. In collective sports like basketball, volleyball, or football, we will learn the importance of cooperation. While taking part in sports game, we will try our best to win and arouse ourselves the competitive spirit. Sports can also help us relax after a period of exhausting work. However, as the saying goes, "there are two sides to everything", and sports is without exception. We may hurt other players or ourselves if we are not careful enough when participating in sports activities. What's more, excessive or severe training can do harm to our health. My participation in sports tells me that sports can make us healthy both physically and psychologically. It is also a good way for people to know each other and can promote friendship between people. So long as we are carefully enough, sports can do us nothing but good.Sports (2)Nowadays, more and more people have learnt about the importance of sports. We can see them running in the evening, or walking fast on the streets. Sports is really important, we can tell it from the start of the Olympic Games, and also the advocate from schools. Schools require students to exercise 2 hours a day, it is not only good for health but also a healthy relaxing method mentally. However, while we are exercising, there exists something that we do should know. Firstly, do not be addicted. For example, last semester, I was pretty crazy about basketball. I played it every afternoon when I finished homework. However, sometimes I found there would be more time to play it if I did the homework faster, and obviously, I did it unfocused and even didn't care the answer. It's not difficult to find out why I had a poor score at my homework.Secondly, do care the enviornment. For example, walking on the streets is not a very safy way to exercise. Cars may cause accidents, or walkers may due to the traffic problems.What's worse, the air is not fresh enough for respiration.Finally, remember to choose not what you like most but what fits you best. When you make a progress of it, you will certainly got inspiration and fall in love with it.。
