关于支持孩子做家务的英语作文八年级全文共5篇示例,供读者参考篇1Doing Chores is Good for KidsHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm in 8th grade. Today I want to talk to you about why kids should totally do chores around the house. I know, I know, chores are like, sooo boring. But hear me out - doing chores is actually really good for us!First off, chores teach us responsibility. When you have jobs to do like cleaning your room, taking out the trash, or feeding the family pet, you learn that you have important duties. If you don't do your chores, there are consequences, like your room gets messy or your pet goes hungry. Learning responsibility by doing chores helps prepare us for bigger responsibilities we'll have as adults, like going to work, paying bills, and maybe even taking care of our own kids someday!Doing chores also teaches useful life skills. Like, how many of you know how to do laundry properly? By helping out with chores, you learn skills like washing clothes, loading the dishwasher, cooking simple meals, and cleaning properly. Trustme, these are skills you'll be really glad you learned before you move out of your parents' house! Knowing how to take care of a home and yourself is super important.Chores also give you a sense of contribution to the family. When you do your part to keep the house clean and running smoothly, you're helping out your family in a meaningful way. It feels good to pitch in and be a productive member of the family unit. Your parents will really appreciate your help too!Plus, doing chores as a kid can teach time management skills. You have to figure out how to get your chores done along with all your other activities like homework, sports, hanging with friends, etc. Learning how to budget your time and prioritize tasks at a young age will make it easier as you get older and have even more responsibilities. Some of you might be thinking "But chores are just sooo booorrrinnngg!" And yeah, I get it, mopping the floors isn't exactly a crazy fun time. But you know what? Lots of important life tasks are kind of boring and repetitive. Doing chores helps build your patience, discipline, and stick-to-itiveness for getting not-so-fun tasks done. It's excellent practice for the real world!Okay, okay, you're probably rolling your eyes at me by now. Yes, I admit some chores totally stink (taking out the smelly trash, ugh). But overall, doing age-appropriate chores is really beneficial for kids. It teaches responsibility, useful skills, a sense of contribution, time management abilities, and discipline. So next time your parents ask you to pitch in around the house, remember that they're helping you build important life skills. Chores may not be exciting, but they're preparing you for success as a grown-up. Pretty cool, right? Now go load that dishwasher with a positive attitude - your future self will thank me!篇2Why Kids Should Help Out Around the HouseHey there! I'm an 8th grader and I think kids like me should totally be doing chores at home. I know, I know, you're probably thinking "But chores are so boring and lame!" Trust me, I get it. As kids, we'd much rather be playing video games, hanging out with friends, or doing just about anything other than cleaning or housework. But hear me out, because I think getting kids involved with housework is actually really important. Let me break it down for you:First off, doing chores teaches us super valuable life skills. I'm talking skills like cleaning, organizing, cooking, laundry - allthat grown-up stuff our parents do. The reality is, we're not going to be kids forever. Eventually, we'll be out there on our own, and if we don't learn these basic skills, we're going to be totally lost! Can you imagine being a clueless adult who doesn't know how to do their own laundry or cook a decent meal? Not a good look. But it's not just about the practical skills. Doing chores also helps us build important character traits like responsibility, discipline, and a solid work ethic. When we have chores to do, we learn that there are expectations and consequences if we don't follow through. It's kind of like practice for the real world, where we'll have jobs, bills to pay, and all sorts of responsibilities as adults.Another huge benefit of doing chores is that it helps us appreciate all the hard work our parents do to keep our homes running smoothly. Have you ever really thought about everything your parents do in a day? The cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, yard work - it's a LOT! By pitching in with chores, we get a small taste of what it's like to take care of a household. It makes us realize how much effort our parents put in for us, which hopefully makes us a little more grateful and respectful towards them. Now, I know what you might be thinking: "But my parents should just do all the chores because they're the adults!" While it's true that our parents are responsible for taking care of us and the household, that doesn't mean we shouldn't contribute too. We're part of the family, and families are supposed to work together and support each other.Just imagine how much easier it would be on your parents if everyone in the house did their part with chores. Instead of your mom or dad having to do everything alone after a long day at work, the workload could be shared, and everyone would have a little bit less on their plate. It's a win-win situation!Of course, I'm not saying we should be scrubbing floors and doing heavy-duty cleaning from dawn till dusk. That's definitely not realistic or fair for kids our age. But basic chores like making our beds, keeping our rooms tidy, setting and clearing the table, folding laundry, or helping with light cleaning duties? Totally doable!Plus, when we do our part with chores, it can actually bring families closer together. Instead of everyone being off in their own worlds, doing chores together gives us a chance to interact, talk, and bond over shared responsibilities. It's a chance forparents to teach us valuable skills and life lessons, and for us to spend quality time together. Now, I get that chores might not be the most fun or篇3Why Kids Should Help Out Around the HouseHey there! I'm an 8th grader and I've got a really important topic to discuss with you today. It's all about kids pitching in and helping out with chores and housework. I know, I know - that probably doesn't sound like a ton of fun. But trust me, there are actually a bunch of awesome reasons why we should all be lending a hand around the house!First off, let's be real - our parents and families do a lot for us. They work hard, make sure we have everything we need, help us with homework, drive us around...the list goes really goes on and on. The least we can do is try to make their lives a little bit easier by taking some chores off their plate. It's like my mom always says, "Many hands make light work." When everyone chips in, it makes the load way lighter for everyone. Instead of her having to do absolutely everything herself, we can all share the responsibilities as a family. It's only fair, right?Plus, doing chores helps build awesome life skills that we'll definitely need when we're adults and living on our own one day. Can you imagine having to figure out how to do laundry, cook meals, clean, and all that for the first time when you're away at college or out in the "real world"? Talk about a rude awakening!By starting chores as kids, we get to learn all the basics early on. We'll know how to properly load the dishwasher, wash and fold laundry, make our beds, and keep our spaces tidy. Those might seem like small things now, but they're crucial skills for becoming independent grown-ups down the road.Doing chores can even help us learn cool things like time management, responsibility, teamwork, and discipline. Instead of leaving everything to the last minute and rushing through it, we learn to plan and schedule our time wisely. We take responsibility and ownership over the tasks we're assigned. We coordinate and collaborate with our family members. And we build the discipline to see chores through to completion instead of leaving them half-done. Those are such valuable skills! And you know what else is great about chores? The confidence boost we get from taking on responsibilities and completing tasks successfully. There's nothing quite like the feeling of looking at a sparkling clean room or delicioushome-cooked meal that you put real time and effort into. It's empowering and helps build self-esteem.I get that chores probably aren't anyone's idea of a good time. Loading the dishwasher or cleaning the bathroom isn't exactly as fun as playing video games or hanging out with friends. But looking at the bigger picture, helping out around the house comes with so many amazing benefits. It eases the burden on our families who do so much for us already. It equips us with super useful life skills for the future. It teaches us amazing values like responsibility, teamwork, and discipline. And it gives us a huge confidence boost and sense of accomplishment. What's not to love about that?!The way I see it, we're all part of a family team. We're all in this together. And just like any good team, we've got to live up to our responsibilities and put in the work to make things run smoothly. Because at the end of the day, pitching in with chores isn't just about ticking off boxes on a list - it's about being a good family member and doing our part.So next time you get asked to set the table, walk the dog, or tidy up your room, don't groan and moan about it. Look at it as an opportunity to pull your weight, learn something new, and make your family's life just a little bit easier. Trust me, one dayyou'll be so grateful you picked up those skills and good habits early on.Let's all do our part to make our homes happier and more harmonious places. Who's with me?篇4My Parents Make Me Do Chores and That's a Good Thing!Hi there! I'm Jason, a 14-year-old boy in 8th grade. Today I want to talk to you about something that a lot of kids don't like, but that I actually think is really important. Chores! Yup, I'm talking about things like cleaning your room, doing the dishes, taking out the trash, and other housework. Maybe you hate having to do chores too. But let me tell you why I believe it's really good for kids like us to pitch in around the house.First of all, doing chores teaches us responsibility. Our parents can't do everything for us forever. By giving us chores, they're helping us learn how to take care of ourselves and our living space. It's practising for when we're older and have our own place and have to keep it clean and tidy on our own. If you never do any chores as a kid, you'll have no idea how to look after a house when you grow up!Another reason chores are good is they teach us important life skills. Doing laundry, washing dishes, vacuuming, dusting - these are all things we'll need to know how to do properly when we're adults. If our parents never show us how and make us practise, we'll end up being totally clueless and unable to look after ourselves. Thanks to my weekly chores, I already know how to clean a bathroom from top to bottom!Chores also teach us the importance of hard work. Nothing in life comes for free - we have to put in effort to achieve our goals and get things done. Having regular housework to do gets kids used to the idea of working hard from an early age. It shows us that we need to take actions ourselves instead of expecting others to do everything for us. I'm sure doing chores is one of the reasons I'm a pretty hard-working student who puts in lots of effort.Doing your share of housework at home is good preparation for the real world too. At school, we have to pull our weight by doing homework and classroom jobs. At work someday, we'll have job duties and responsibilities we need to take care of. Doing chores gets you ready for all of that. It's like practising for pulling your weight and doing your fair share wherever you go in life.I get that chores can sometimes be a drag. Who really loves cleaning and housework? But they're definitelycharacter-building in my opinion. Doing chores teaches kids perseverance - the ability to keep going and get a job done even when it's annoying or tedious. It also instills discipline in us from having to do tasks regularly without cutting corners. I've had to redo lots of chores for not doing them properly at first!Something else that's cool about chores is that they bring families together. In my house, we all have our own jobs to do. But we work as a team to get everything done for the good of the whole family. We all put in our share of effort, which I think makes us work better as a unit. It's satisfying getting everything checked off the chore list as a team!Having chores also teaches us time management from an early age. I have to figure out how to get my homework and other activities done around the schedule of my daily chores. It's taught me skills around planning my time wisely and keeping myself on a routine and schedule. Those kinds of habits will really help me in high school, college, and in future jobs. Finally, doing chores is just the right thing to do as part of a family. Our parents work really hard for us, so it's only fair that we pitch in and help out around the house too. It's a way to showthat we appreciate everything they do for us. Doing my chores every week is my way of giving back to my family and pulling my weight. It makes me feel like I'm contributing in a meaningful way.So even though most kids may groan about having to do chores, I actually think they're a really positive thing for kids. They teach us so many important skills for life and keep families working well together as a team. I'm proud of the habits and character traits I've developed from doing regular chores through my childhood. Stick with it, and you may end up being thankful for chores too!篇5Helping Out at Home: Why Kids Should Do ChoresHi there! My name is Jamie, and I'm in 8th grade. Today, I want to talk to you about why it's so important for kids like me to help out around the house by doing chores. I know, I know –chores can be a real drag sometimes. Who wants to spend their free time cleaning, doing laundry, or washing dishes? Wouldn't we all rather be hanging out with friends, playing video games, or watching our favorite shows? But hear me out, because doing chores actually has a ton of benefits that can make our lives better in the long run. Plus, it's a way for us kids to contribute to our families and show that we appreciate all the hard work our parents do for us every single day.First off, let's talk about responsibility. Doing chores teaches us to be responsible and reliable. When we have regular tasks to complete, like making our beds, taking out the trash, or folding laundry, we learn to follow through on our commitments and do our part without being constantly reminded by our parents. This sense of responsibility will help us out so much as we get older and have to handle bigger responsibilities like jobs, bills, and maybe even our own families one day.Chores also give us a chance to learn valuable life skills. Sure, loading the dishwasher or vacuuming the living room might not seem like a huge deal now, but these simple tasks are teaching us important practical skills that we'll need to live on our own someday. Can you imagine trying to figure out how to do laundry or clean a bathroom for the first time when you're an adult? Thanks to chores, we'll already have a head start on mastering these essential skills.Another big benefit of doing chores is that it helps us develop a strong work ethic. When we get into the habit of pitching in and working hard around the house, we're building the kind of positive attitude and determination that will serve us well in school, future jobs, and all areas of our lives. Doing chores teaches us that hard work pays off and that putting in effort leads to a sense of accomplishment and pride. And let's not forget about teamwork! In most families, chores are a team effort that requires everyone to do their part. By working together with our parents and siblings to get household tasks done, we're learning how to collaborate, communicate, and coordinate our efforts towards a common goal. These teamwork skills will be invaluable when we're older and have to work with others in school projects, jobs, or any group setting.Of course, doing chores isn't just about the benefits for us kids. It's also a way for us to contribute to our families and show our appreciation for all that our parents do for us. Think about it – our parents work hard day in and day out to provide for us, keep a roof over our heads, put food on the table, and make sure we have everything we need. The least we can do is pitch in and help out around the house to make their lives a little bit easier.By doing our chores without being asked (or at least without too much nagging), we're showing our parents that we understand and value all their efforts. It's a simple way to say "thank you" and to let them know that we appreciate everything they do for us. Plus, when everyone in the family contributes, it lightens the load for everyone and helps create a happier, more harmonious household.Of course, I get it – chores can still be a bit of a drag sometimes. There are definitely days when I'd rather be doing just about anything else besides cleaning my room or taking out the trash. But when I start to feel that way, I try to remind myself of all the benefits and reasons why doing chores is so important.Chores are helping me become a more responsible,self-sufficient, and hard-working person. They're teaching me valuable life skills and giving me a strong work ethic that will pay off in the future. They're fostering teamwork and allowing me to contribute to my family in a meaningful way. And at the end of the day, there's a real sense of accomplishment and pride that comes from pitching in and doing my part around the house. So the next time your parents ask you to help out with chores, try to have a positive attitude and remember all the great reasons why it's so important. Embrace the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to your family. And who knows – you might even find that some chores aren't so bad after all (though I still can't stand washing dishes)! At the end of the day, doing chores is about much more than just cleaning and tidying up. It's about becoming a responsible, capable, and appreciative person who is ready to take on the world. And those are some life skills that will serve us well no matter where our paths may lead.。

我的英雄黄继光英语作文Huang Jiguang was a Chinese soldier who sacrificed his life to save his comrades during the Korean War in 1952. His bravery and selflessness have made him a true hero in the eyes of the Chinese people and an inspiration to people around the world. As a young man growing up in China I have always been moved by Huang Jiguang's story and he has become a personal hero of mineHuang Jiguang was born in 1931 in a small village in Guangdong province in southern China. From a young age he was known for his strong sense of justice and willingness to stand up for others. When the Korean War broke out in 1950 Huang Jiguang eagerly volunteered to join the Chinese People's Volunteer Army to fight against the American-led United Nations forces. He was assigned to the 19th Army as a machine gunner and quickly distinguished himself through his courage and skill in battle. In October 1952, Huang Jiguang's unit was engaged in heavy fighting against the UN forces near the town of Sangkumryung in North Korea. The Chinese soldiers were greatly outnumbered andoutgunned by the enemy and were in danger of being overrun. Seeing that his comrades were in grave peril, Huang Jiguang made the ultimate sacrifice. He single-handedly manned a machine gun emplacement, using his body to shield his fellow soldiers from the hail of enemy fire. For nearly an hour Huang Jiguang maintained a constant stream of fire, killing dozens of enemy troops and preventing their advance.Despite being hit multiple times by enemy bullets, Huang Jiguang refused to abandon his post. He continued firing until he was mortally wounded, his body riddled with over 70 bullet holes. Even as he lay dying, Huang Jiguang urged his comrades to keep fighting and not to retreat. His last words were "Charge, comrades! Don't give up the position!" The Chinese forces were ultimately able to hold their ground and repel the enemy attack thanks to Huang Jiguang's heroic actions. For his extraordinary bravery and selflessness, Huang Jiguang was posthumously awarded the title of "People's Hero" by the Chinese government. He was also promoted to the rank of company commander, an honor typically reserved for those who displayed the highest levels of courage and leadership. Huang Jiguang's story has become deeply embedded in Chinese national consciousness and he is revered as one of the greatest war heroes in the country's history. What is it about Huang Jiguang's story that has made him such an enduring and inspirational figure in China? I believe it is his willingness to sacrifice everything for the sake of his comrades and his country that truly sets him apart. In a world that often prizes individual achievement and self-interest, Huang Jiguang's actions stand as a powerful reminder of the virtues of selflessness and devotion to a higher cause.Throughout his life, Huang Jiguang embodied the core values of the Chinese military - loyalty, discipline, and a commitment to the welfare of the people. Even in the face of overwhelming odds and certain death, he never wavered in his determination to protect his fellow soldiers and defend his country's interests. His last stand at Sangkumryung was not just an act of individual heroism, but a defiant statement of China's resolve to resist foreign aggression and stand up for its principles.Huang Jiguang's legacy has only grown stronger in the decades since his death. He has become a symbol of patriotism and national pride for the Chinese people, inspiring countless young men and women to follow in his footsteps and serve their country with the same level of dedication and courage. His story is taught in schools, commemorated in monuments, and celebrated in films and literature. Even today, 70 years after his death, Huang Jiguang remains a towering figure in Chinese popular culture and a revered nationalhero. For me personally, Huang Jiguang's story has had a profound impact on my own life and values. Growing up, I was always fascinated by tales of heroism and selflessness, and Huang Jiguang's actions resonated with me on a deep level. His willingness to sacrifice everything for the greater good, his unwavering sense of duty, and his refusal to abandon his comrades in the face of certain death - these are the qualities that I have always aspired to emulate. In many ways, Huang Jiguang's legacy has shaped my own understanding of what it means to be a good citizen and a responsible member of society. His story has taught me the importance of putting the needs of the community before one's own, of standing up for what is right even in the face of adversity, and of never backing down in the face of a challenge. Whenever I feel tempted to prioritize my own interests over the greater good, I think of Huang Jiguang and how he willingly gave his life to protect his fellow soldiers and defend his country's honor. In a world that often feels increasingly divided and cynical, Huang Jiguang's example serves as a powerful reminder of the enduring power of selflessness, courage, and patriotism. His story inspires me to strive to be a better person, to always put the needs of others before my own, and to never shy away from doing what I believe isright, no matter the personal cost. Huang Jiguang may have lived and died decades ago, but his legacy continues to shape and inspire people like myself who are determined to follow in his footsteps and make a positive difference in the world.。
