这种题型既考查学生的语法、词法、句法、习惯用法等英语基础知识的综合运用能力,又考查学生对短文的阅读和理解能力。
学生在做这种题型时,失分率很高,学生往往因为文中许多关键词未给出,需要做出选择而无法理解全文,或因为英语基础知识的欠缺而无法给出确切的答案。
如何快速、准确地做好完形填空题是每个学生都很关注的问题。
一、正确的做题方法1.细读首尾部分,预测全文为了使考生快速进入主题,建立正确的思维模式,命题人往往会保留首尾句的完整性或者对首尾部分设空简单,因此要充分利用这个窗口捕捉一切有价值的线索,发挥想象力,构思出文章内容的轮廓。
2.通读文章,掌握大意“通读全文”这一点反复强调是因为有的学生做题时抱着急于求成、节省时间的心理,未通读文章就迫不及待地开始做题,所以只是就句论句,无法形成连贯的思路。
正确的方法应该是让自己静下心来,从头到尾快速阅读文章,以便从整体上感知全文、掌握大意。
在此过程中,可跳过空格,不拘泥于某个不认识的词,但要注意完整句子的提示,努力找出关键词,抓住故事线索。
3.前后兼顾,先易后难通读之后要仔细观察空格前后句子,逐句进行分析,从而确定出空格处的大意,同时要考虑到时态、语态、词性、句式是否合理。
遵循先易后难的原则,先选出那些根据上下文就能确定的答案,增强信心、减轻心理压力,然后集中精力仔细推敲那些难以确定的题。
4.代入答案,复查全文初步选定答案后,一定要再次耐心地通读全文,从而更改那些不合理、不贴切的答案,使文章意思通顺、前后连贯、结构完整。
二、解答完形填空的技巧1.注意短文首句,它是了解全文大意的基石文章的第一句是一个完整的主题句,是全文意义的精髓所在。
它开篇明义,提供一定的答题信息,学生以此能判断文章的体裁、形式和内容,即是否是风土人情、科普小品、体育娱乐、人物传记、寓言故事、书信等。

完型填空要求学生能准确地补全未知空的信息,而一个未知填空有可能只受到单个相关已知信息点的限制,也可能同时受到多个相关已知信息点的限制。

答题时比较随意,缺乏一定的技巧,结果错误率高。
