PARVOVIRUS INFECTIONWhat is Canine Parvovirus disease?Canine parvovirus (CPV) infection is a relatively new disease that first appeared in 1978. Because of the severity of the disease and its rapid spread through the canine population, CPV has aroused a great deal of public interest. The virus that causes it is very similar to feline enteritis, and the two diseases are almost identical. Therefore, it has been speculated that the canine virus is a mutation of the feline virus. However, that has never been proven. How does a dog become infected with parvovirus? The causative agent of CPV disease, as the name infers, is a virus. The main source of the virus is thefaeces of infected dogs. The faeces of an infected dog can have a high concentration of viral particles.Susceptible animals become infected by ingesting the virus. Subsequently, the virus is carried to theintestine where it invades the intestinal wall and causes inflammation.Unlike most other viruses, CPV is stable in the environment and is resistant to the effects of heat, detergents, and alcohol. CPV has been recovered from dog faeces even after three months at roomtemperature. Due to its stability, the virus is easily transmitted via the hair or feet of infected dogs, contaminated shoes, clothes, and other objects. Direct contact between dogs is not required to spread the virus. Dogs that become infected with the virus and show clinical signs will usually become ill within 7-10 days of the initial infection. How does this disease affect the dog?The clinical manifestations of CPV disease are somewhat variable, but generally take the form of severe vomiting and diarrhoea. The diarrhoea may or may not contain blood. Additionally, affected dogs often exhibit a lack of appetite, depression, and fever. It is important to note that many dogs may not showevery clinical sign, but vomiting and diarrhoea are the most common signs; vomiting usually begins first.Parvo may affect dogs of all ages, but is most common in dogs less than one year of age. Young puppies less than five months of age are often the most severely affected and the most difficult to treat. How is it diagnosed? The clinical signs of CPV infection can mimic other diseases causing vomiting and diarrhoea; consequently, the diagnosis of CPV is often a challenge for the veterinary surgeon . The positive confirmation of CPV infection requires the demonstration of the virus in the faeces or the detection of anti-CPV antibodies in the blood serum. Occasionally, a dog will have parvovirus but test negative for virus in the faeces. Fortunately, this is not a common occurrence. A tentative diagnosis is often based on the presence of a reduced white blood cell count (leukopaenia). If further confirmation is needed, faeces or blood can be submitted to a veterinary laboratory for the other tests. The absence of a leukopaenia does not always mean that the dog cannot have CPV infection. Some dogs that become clinically ill may not necessarily be leukopaenic. Can it be treated successfully? As with any virus disease there is no treatment to kill the virus once it infects the dog. However, the virus does not directly cause death; rather, it causes loss of the lining of the intestinal tract. This results in severe dehydration, electrolyte (sodium and potassium) imbalances, and infection in the bloodstream (septicaemia). It is when the bacteria that normally live in the intestinal tract are able to get into the blood stream, that it becomes more likely that the animal will die.The first step in treatment is to correct dehydration and electrolyte imbalances. This requires theadministration of intravenous fluids containing electrolytes. Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs aregiven to prevent or control septicemia. Antispasmodic drugs are used to inhibit the diarrhoea and vomiting that perpetuate the problems. What is the survival rate? Most dogs with CPV infection recover if aggressive treatment is used and if therapy is begun before severe septicaemia and dehydration occur. For reasons not fully understood, some breeds, notably the Rottweiler, have a much higher fatality rate than other breeds. Can it be prevented? The best method of protecting your dog against CPV infection is proper vaccination. Puppies receive a parvo vaccination as part of the vaccines given from 6 and about 12 weeks of age. In some situations, veterinary surgeons will give the vaccine at two week intervals and an additional booster at 18 to 20weeks of age. After the initial series of vaccinations when the dog is a puppy, all dogs should be boosted at least once a year. Dogs in high exposure situations (i.e. kennels, dog shows, field trials, etc.) may bebetter protected with a booster every six months. Bitches should be boosted before mating or immediately before whelping in order to transfer protective antibodies to the puppies. The final decision about a proper vaccination schedule should be made by your veterinary surgeon. Is there a way to kill the virus in the environment? The stability of the CPV in the environment makes it important to properly disinfect contaminated areas. This can be accomplished by cleaning food bowls, water bowls, and other contaminated items with asolution of 250 mL of chlorine bleach in 5 litres of water. It is important that chlorine bleach orglutaraldehyde based disinfectants be used because many other "viricidal" disinfectants will not kill thecanine parvovirus.Does parvovirus pose a health risk for me? How about for my cats?It is important to note that at the present time, there is no evidence to indicate that CPV is transmissible to cats or humans.Ark Veterinary Centre。

1The Future World Where You Don't Have to Go to the Hospital When You're SickHi there! My name is Timmy and I'm going to tell you all about what the world will be like in the future when you get sick. It's going to be so cool and way different from how things are today!Right now, whenever someone gets really sick, they have to go to the hospital. The hospital is this big building with lots of doctors and nurses. They have to examine you, give you medicine, and sometimes even do operations if you're really really sick. It's no fun at all being in the hospital! But in the future, you won't need to go to any yucky hospital when you don't feel good. Instead, you'll have tiny little robot doctors living inside your body! These robots will be super small, even smaller than a grain of salt. But don't worry, they're not going to hurt you or anything. Their job is to patrol around your body and make sure everything is working right. The robot doctors will be able to detect when you start getting sick way before you even have symptoms. Like let's say you catch a cold virus. The robots will see it right when that first virus gets into your body. Then they'll start attacking and destroying the virus right away before it can make copies of itself and really make you sick.If the robots can't get rid of the virus completely, they'll have another cool trick. They'll re-program some of your own cells to start producing the right medicine to kill that virus! So the robot doctors become like little pharmacists making the drugs you need, but inside your body. Isn't that neat? The robots can do way more than just stop viruses too. If you get a bacterial infection, they'll produce powerful antibiotics. If you get a fungus or parasite, they'll make the right drugs for that. And if some of your own cells get all messed up and turn into cancer, the robots can either fix those bad cells or make sure your immune system attacks and gets rid of them.Because of those awesome robot doctor friends, people in the future basically never have to go to real doctors or hospitals when they're sick. The robots take care of everything automatically! But what if the robots break down or stop working right? Well, that's when you go to the mechanic! Just kidding...in the future, we'll have special repair ships that you swallow. These ships are the size of pills, but inside they have a crew of even more tiny robots. The repair robots will cruise through your body and locate any broken robots or anything else that isn't working properly. Then they'll get to work fixing or replacing the broken robots and busted cells. Once they give the all clear signal that you're all fixed up inside, the repair ship goes out the normal way, if you know what I mean! Gross but awesome. You're probably wondering what happens if you get a really bad injury like broken bones or a deep cut. Don't worry, in the future we'll have advanced nanotechnology for that too! Nanobots are just super tiny robots pretty much invisible to the naked eye.If you break a bone, the nanobots will be injected right into the area. They'll start building scaffolding inside and around the break. Then they'll grab minerals from your body and actually rebuild the bone for you! No more heavycasts or anything slowing you down while it heals. For cuts or wounds, the nanobots will get injected into the damaged area. They'll instantly get to work knitting the skin and tissue fibers back together. Soon your wound will be healed up with just a tiny scar! That should stop the bleeding and prevent any nasty infections too since the bots will kill any germs in the area.Basically in the future, you'll have a whole bunch of tiny robot doctors, pharmacists, mechanics, surgeons, and construction workers living inside you. They'll be fixing you up from the inside out anytime you get sick, injured or anything goes wrong. How cool is that? Now I know what you're thinking - won't having all those robots roaming around our bodies be dangerous? It does sound a little creepy to have a bunch of tiny robots inside you! But the future robots will be programmed to only help us and keep us healthy. No taking over our bodies and brains like in the movies! And if your robot team ever does manage to go rogue somehow, that's where the mechanic robots come in. They'll get beamed right into you and take control of the situation. The mechanic robots are super strong and have special tools to disassemble, override, or shut down any malfunctioning robots. So we shouldn't have to worry about being turned into some kind of robot zombie!I can't wait for the future and to get my own team of robot buddies inside me. It's going to be so awesome not having to go to doctors or hospitals anymore. Those places are no fun at all, with the funny smells, gross tongue depressors, and those crazy loud machine noises. No thanks! I'd much rather hang out at home playing video games while the nanobuddies take care of any sickies or owies for me.Well, that's the future world I'm looking forward to. A place where you never have to go to a hospital or doctor's office again when you're sick or hurt. Just relax and let the robots do their thing inside you! It will be like having a tiny Cirque du Soleil repair crew living in your body to fix anything that goes wrong. The future is going to be so rad!篇2The Future World Is So Cool! You Never Have to Go to the Hospital When You're SickHi, my name is Timmy and I'm going to tell you all about the awesome future world we live in now. Things are so different from the way they used to be back when my parents andgrandparents were kids. I'm only 9 years old but I've never even had to go to a real hospital before! Isn't that crazy? In the old days, if you got really sick, you had to go to this big building called a hospital. There were doctors and nurses there who would try to make you feel better. But you had to go there in person, even if you felt totally yucky and didn't want to leave your bed. And the hospitals were always so cold, with that weird smell, and you had to get poked with needles and eat nasty food. No thank you!Nowadays, if I get sick, I never have to leave my house. Mom and Dad just call the doctor on our video screen. The doctor can see me on the camera and ask me how I'm feeling. Then they run some fancy scan over the video to check out what's wrong with me. It's like a real life x-ray vision! The doctor can see inside my body without me even going anywhere. So cool right? If it's just like a cold or flu, the doctor sends somemicro-robots right to our house. The micro-robots are these tiny little machines that are so small you can't even see them with your eyes. But they're super strong and can go anywhere in your body to fix you up. The micro-robots go into my body through my nose while I'm sleeping. Then they get to work fighting off the virus or infection that's making me sick.I always feel all better by the next morning after themicro-robots have done their job. No more sore throats, fevers, or yucky mucus! The micro-robots just zap away the sickness. I don't even have to take any gross tasting medicine. Mom and Dad are always so relieved when I get better quickly. But what if it's something even more serious than just a regular sickness? Well, we have the Nano-Clinic for that. The Nano-Clinic is this super high-tech medical bay that we have right in our house. It's sort of like a hospital room but way more advanced. If the doctor thinks I need to go in the Nano-Clinic, I just lie down on the bed inside it. Then these tiny little nano-machines get to work on fixing whatever is wrong. The nano-machines can repair injuries, remove tumors, fix broken bones, and just do all sorts of amazing medical stuff. And I don't even feel a thing! It's like magic.Last year, I broke my arm pretty bad when I fell off my hoverbike. In the old days, I would have needed a cast and it would have taken months for the bone to heal. But at the Nano-Clinic, the nano-machines just went in and put my bone back together in a couple of hours. By the next day, my arm wasall better and I could play hover-ball with my friends again. No biggie!Nano-Clinics can pretty much cure anything. Grandpa got super sick with cancer a few years ago, but the nano-machines were able to shrink the tumors and kill all the cancer cells without any chemo or radiation needed. He just took a little nap in the Nano-Clinic instead!I think it's so awesome that we never have to go to regular hospitals anymore. Who would want to go to a loud, busy, germy place like that when you're already feeling sick? It's much better to just get taken care of at home by the micro-robots and nano-machines. I'm sure medicine will keep getting more and more advanced in the future too.Maybe by the time I'm a grown-up, we'll have some new kind of crazy technology where you don't even get sick at all! I don't know how it will work exactly, but I bet future doctors and scientists will figure something out. We're so lucky to live in this modern future world. I'll never have to see the inside of a yucky hospital as long as I live!篇3Here's an essay about the future world where you don't need to go to the hospital when you're sick, written from the perspective of an elementary school student. The essay is approximately 2,000 words in English. The Future World Where You Don't Need to Go to the HospitalHi there! My name is Timmy, and I'm going to tell you all about the super cool future world where you don't have to go to the hospital when you're sick. Sounds awesome, right? Just imagine – no more waiting rooms, no more scary needles, and no more yucky medicine! It's gonna be so much fun!You see, in the future, we'll have these incredible tiny robots called "nanobots" that can swim around inside our bodies and fix us up when we're not feeling well. Isn't that crazy? It's like having a team of tiny doctors working for you 24/7!These nanobots are going to be so small that you won't even be able to see them with your regular eyes. They'll be smaller than a grain of sand, and they'll be able to travel through our bloodstream and reach every part of our bodies. Neat, huh? Now, you might be wondering, "How do these nanobots know what's wrong with us?" Well, that's the really cool part! They'll be able to scan our bodies and detect any problems or illnesses we might have. They'll be like little detectives, looking for clues and figuring out what's making us feel sick.Once they've figured out what's wrong, the nanobots will get to work on fixing it. If we have a fever, they'll cool us down. If we have a tummy ache, they'll make our tummies feel better. And if we have a cut or a bruise, they'll help heal it up super fast! But that's not all! These nanobots will also be able to deliver medicine directly to the parts of our bodies that need it. No more swallowing gross pills or getting shots – the nanobots will take care of everything for us. How awesome is that? And you know what else? These nanobots will be able to learn and adapt as they go. That means they'll get better and better at keeping us healthy as time goes on. It's like they'll be leveling up, just like in video games!Of course, we'll still need to eat healthy foods, exercise, and take care of ourselves. But with the nanobots helping us out, we'll be able to stay healthy and strong much more easily.Imagine how much fun we'll be able to have without having to worry about getting sick all the time! We can play outside, goon adventures, and explore the world without having to stop and go to the hospital. It'll be like a never-ending summer vacation! Now, I know what you're thinking – "Timmy, this all sounds too good to be true!" But trust me, it's totally real! Scientists and researchers are already working on developing these amazing nanobots as we speak.Of course, it might take a little while before they're ready for us to use. But I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. Just think about how much better life will be when we don't have to worry about getting sick anymore! So, what do you say? Are you excited for the future world where you don't need to go to the hospital? I know I am! I can't wait to meet my very own team of nanobot doctors and let them take care of me whenever I'm feeling under the weather.Until then, I guess we'll just have to keep going to the regular doctors and hospitals like we always have. But hey, at least we know that something way cooler is coming our way soon!Alright, that's all from me for now. I hope you've learned something new and exciting about the awesome future that's waiting for us. See ya later, dudes and dudettes!篇4The Future World of Healing At HomeHey kids! I'm gonna tell you about this really cool thing that's gonna happen in the future. You'll never have to go to a yucky hospital again when you get sick! Instead, you can just stay home and get all better without any needles or gross medicine. Pretty awesome, right? It's all thanks to these tiny little robots that doctors will put inside your body. I know that sounds kinda scary, but these robots are specially made to help you, not hurt you. They're smaller than a grain of rice, so they can just float around inside you without you even noticing they're there! These micro-robots will be like personal doctors that live inside you. Whenever you get sick, like if you catch a cold or get an infection, the robots will jump into action. They'll start zapping the germs that are making you ill with special laser beams. Pew pew pew! Take that, bad germs! But that's not all these awesome nano-bots can do. If you break a bone or get a cut, they can go and fix that too. The robots will use special tools to put the bone pieces back togetherand seal up cuts with an emergency bio-glue. It's like having a first aid kit and cast built right into your body!Maybe you're wondering how these tiny robots get power to do all their healing work. Well, they run on a special fuel that your body can make naturally - it's called ATP. As long as you eat healthy foods with lots of nutrients, your cells will keep producing plenty of ATP energy for the robots. The nano-bots will also be able to detect problems in your body before you even feel sick. Like if your blood sugar gets too low, or you're getting dehydrated, the robots will send a signal to this cool device you wear on your wrist. It will buzz and light up to warn you, "Hey, drink some water and eat a snack!" Isn't that neat? With these micro-robots taking care of you from the inside, you won't need to go to those boring doctors offices for checkups. The nano-bots will just send updates straight to your parents' phone app to let them know you're happy and healthy. No more waiting rooms, no more big needles - just bio-bots keeping you safe and well!I can't wait for the future and never having to miss school because I'm sick again. No more puking in class trash cans or passing out gross coughed-up loogie snot rockets. The healingrobots will zap away any illness before it can really get going. I'll never have to miss recess or PE again!Of course, the nano-bots can't fix everything. If you get really badly hurt, like break a bunch of bones or need surgery, you'll still have to go to a hospital. But for all the little stuff like colds, fevers, and basic boo-boos, those bio-bot buddies have got you covered from inside your own body.Just imagine how awesome it will be to wake up not feeling well, and instead of your mom making you go to a doctor, she just tells you to relax at home while the robots take care of it. You can play video games and eat ice cream all day until thenano-bots make you all better! Staying home and healing sounds like the best sick day ever.I know some kids might be scared about having little robots swimming around inside them. But scientists are working really hard to make sure these nano-bots are 100% safe. They'll be built from special materials that your body doesn't realize are foreign objects, so it won't try to attack them. The robots will basically become just another part of you!I guess in a way it's kinda like those good bacteria that already live in your gut, helping you digest food and stay healthy. Except these nano-bots can do a whole lot more than justnormal bacteria. They'll be like micro mom-and-dad droids looking out for you 24/7 from your insides!Won't it be wild to look back one day and tell stories about the olden days of hospitals and getting shots? Our grandkids will think we were so primitive, having to go to special buildings just to get basic medical care. They'll never understand the struggle of having to choke down those nasty syrups when you had a sore throat! So there you have it, my friends - the amazing future of healing at home with tiny robot doctors protecting you from the inside out. I can't wait to say "sayonara" to doctors, "smell ya later" to icky medicines, and "welcome aboard" to a whole squad of nano-heroes living inside me! The future of staying healthy is gonna be awesome!篇5The Future is So Cool! No More Trips to the Icky HospitalHi friends! Today I want to tell you all about the super awesome things that will happen in the future when we get sick. Can you believe that one day, we won't have to go to those gross, smelly hospitals anymore? How crazy is that?! Instead, we'll havetiny robot doctors that can fix us right at home. Isn't that the coolest?Let me explain how it will work. In the future, every family will have a special robot doctor living with them in their house. These robot doctors will be really tiny, like the size of an insect, but they'll be wicked smart and able to do just about anything a real doctor can do. Pretty neat, huh?Whenever someone in your family gets sick, like if you catch a cold or your baby sister gets an ear infection, you'll just tell your robot doctor and it will get to work. Using special cameras and scanners, it can see inside your body to figure out what's wrong. Then it will give you tiny robot pills or use micro-surgery tools to fix you up right there on the spot. No more having to go sit in a waiting room for hours! But that's not even the best part. You know how sometimes you have to go stay in the hospital for a few days if you get really sick? Well, with your robot doctor buddy, you'll never have to do that again. It can set up a special healing area right in your bedroom with teeny tiny robot nurses to take care of you 24/7. How awesome is that? And forget about getting those crazy big needles for shots or IVs. Your robot doctor will just open up a tiny entrance intoyour body and send microbot workers inside to do whatever needs to be done. They can give you medicine, set broken bones, or even zap any germs or nasty stuff making you feel yucky. It's like having a whole hospital right inside of you! Wild, right? Now I know what you're thinking - won't these microbot doctors get lost inside my body? Don't worry, they're crazy smart robots and have a special tracking system so they can always find their way back out. Plus they have a surroundings map to avoid crashing into stuff in there. Although it might be fun to see one bump into a kidney! Bet that would feel pretty weird.Anyway, that's just the start of how medical care will change thanks to future robot technology. Pretty soon, kids like us won't even know what it was like to have to go to those awful hospitals. No more syringe needles the size of swords. No more weird doctors poking you in strange places. And definitely no more having to drink those totally disgusting cough syrups that taste like car exhaust mixed with sweaty gym socks. Yuck!Just kick back in your room while your microbot medical team takes care of everything. Play video games, watch TV, read comics, you can still have fun while these tiny surgeons fix you up good as new. Maybe someday they'll even be able to regrow a missing arm or eye for you. Can you imagine?I guess grown-ups might miss hospitals a little bit since they like boring stuff. But I sure won't! Good riddance to those places. Human doctors and nurses were cool for their time, but pretty soon robots will be taking over and doing everything better. I can't wait!So there you have it, my friends - a look at just how incredibly awesome the future of medicine is going to be. Microbot doctors, robo-nurses, micro-meds, and no more sterile hospital rooms. Just tiny robots crawling into your body to make every boo-boo all better. The future is going to be so epic, I can't wait to get sick so I can try it all out! Okay, maybe not that last part. But you get what I mean, right? See you later, old-school hospitals. The micro-bot medical era is coming soon!篇6Here's an essay about "Changes in the Future World: No Need to Go to the Hospital When Sick", written from the perspective of an elementary school student, in approximately 2000 words:The Future World: No More Hospital Visits When Sick!Hi there! My name is Timmy, and I'm going to tell you all about how awesome the future world is going to be. You see, inthe future, we won't have to go to the hospital when we get sick! Isn't that just the coolest thing ever?Let me start by telling you how things are now. Whenever I catch a cold or have a tummy ache, my mom has to take me to the doctor's office or the hospital. It's such a hassle! We have to wait forever in the waiting room, and then the doctor pokes and prods me with all sorts of weird instruments. Yuck! But in the future, everything is going to be different. We'll have these incredible little robots called "nanobots" that can fix us up from the inside! Nanobots are teeny-tiny robots, smaller than even a grain of sand. They're so small that they can travel through our bodies and repair any damage or sickness they find! Here's how it'll work: Let's say I wake up one morning with a nasty cough and a fever. Instead of having to go to the doctor, my mom will just give me a special drink filled with nanobots. I'll gulp it down, and those little robots will get to work!Once they're inside my body, the nanobots will start searching for the cause of my sickness. Maybe it's a virus making me sick, or perhaps I have an infection somewhere. Whatever it is, the nanobots will find it and get rid of it!If it's a virus, the nanobots will attack it and destroy it. They'll seek out every single virus particle in my body and eliminate it. No more virus, no more sickness! How cool is that?Or, if I have an infection, the nanobots will clean it up and kill any harmful bacteria. They'll also help my body heal by repairing any damaged cells or tissues. It'll be like having a tiny repair crew working inside me 24/7!But that's not all the nanobots can do. They can also monitor my body and make sure everything is working properly. If they detect any problems, like a blocked artery or a tumor, they'll let my parents know right away so we can get it fixed before it becomes serious. And get this – the nanobots can even fix broken bones! If I ever fall and break my arm, the nanobots will go straight to the fracture and help。
怎样防止病毒侵袭英语作文Title: Strategies for Preventing Virus Attacks。
In today's interconnected world, protecting our devices from virus attacks is crucial. Viruses can causesignificant damage to our data, compromise our privacy, and disrupt our daily lives. Therefore, implementing effective measures to prevent virus attacks is paramount. Here are several strategies individuals can employ to safeguardtheir devices:1. Install Antivirus Software:One of the fundamental steps in preventing virus attacks is to install reputable antivirus software on your devices. These software programs are designed to detect and remove various types of malware, including viruses, trojans, and worms. Ensure that your antivirus software is regularly updated to detect the latest threats effectively.2. Keep Operating Systems and Software Updated:Operating system and software updates often include patches and fixes for known security vulnerabilities. By regularly updating your operating system, web browsers, and other software applications, you can mitigate the risk of exploitation by viruses and other malware. Enable automatic updates whenever possible to ensure timely protection.3. Exercise Caution When Browsing and Downloading:Exercise caution when browsing the internet and downloading files or software. Avoid visiting suspicious websites or clicking on links from unknown sources, as they may lead to malicious websites or initiate the download of malware-infected files. Download software only from reputable sources, such as official app stores or developer websites.4. Enable Firewall Protection:Firewalls act as a barrier between your device andpotentially harmful traffic from the internet or other networks. Enable the built-in firewall on your operating system or install a third-party firewall solution to monitor and control incoming and outgoing network traffic. Firewalls can help block unauthorized access and prevent virus attacks.5. Use Strong, Unique Passwords:Strong passwords are essential for securing your accounts and preventing unauthorized access to your devices and online services. Use complex passwords that include a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. Additionally, avoid using the same password for multiple accounts and consider using a password manager to securely store and manage your passwords.6. Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA):Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of security by requiring users to provide two forms of authentication before accessing their accounts. Enable 2FAwhenever possible, especially for sensitive accounts such as email, online banking, and social media. This additional security measure can help prevent unauthorized access, even if your password is compromised.7. Regularly Back Up Your Data:Regularly backing up your data is essential for mitigating the impact of virus attacks and other forms of data loss. Store backups of your important files and documents on external hard drives, cloud storage services, or other secure locations. In the event of a virus attack or system failure, you can restore your data from backups without significant loss.8. Educate Yourself and Others:Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices for virus prevention. Educate yourself and others, such as family members, colleagues, or employees, about the importance of practicing safe computing habits. Raise awareness about common tactics usedby cybercriminals, such as phishing emails and social engineering scams. In conclusion, preventing virus attacks requires a proactive approach and a combination of technical solutions and user awareness. By implementing these strategies and staying vigilant, individuals can effectively protect their devices and personal data from malicious threats. Remember, the best defense against viruses is a combination of preparation, caution, and ongoing vigilance.。

The sun was truly shining. Cali was great, the people were friendly and helpful. One thing I knew about Colombia before I came was the coffee. I drank it every day while dreaming about South American adventures in my cold, wet hometown of England. What I wasn’t prepared for was the beauty there. Even the bus ride was a pleasure. I never thought I would say like this in South America. The landscape was so unexpected, I didn’t imagine Colombia to have this much beauty. There lay fresh mountain waterfalls as well as luminous green hills at every turn, it was so amazing!Bogota was my next stop. I took a walk alone one night to pick up some goods. It was dark, and I was in a strange neighborhood.Yet all I could think about was how safe I felt, I almostfelt like I was in my local town. People smiled and carried on with their own business. The cool colours are green, blue and purple. These colours unlike warm colours, are relaxing. Where there are cool colours, people are usually quiet. People who like to spend time alone often prefer blue.Red may be exciting but one scientist says that time seems to pass more slow in a room with warm colours than in a room with cool colours. He suggested that a warm colour such as red or orange, is a good colour for a living room or a restaurant.People who are relaxing or eating don’t want time to pass quickly. Cool colours are better for offices of factories as the people who work there want time to pass quickly. Scientist don’t know why people think som e colours are warm and other colours are cool. However, almost everyone agree that warm colours remind (使想起) people of warm days and cool colours remind them of cool days. But how do you deal with your worries? Whether your worries are big or small, you can take these three steps to deal with your worries:1. Try to find out what you're worried aboutSometimes, you will know what you're worried about. Other times, you might not. Try to find it out first; if you can't, you can ask for help.2. Think of ways to make it betterThere is always something you can do to help you feel less worried. Sitting there worrying is no fun and it won't solve your problem.Grades at school are often top worries for kids. If you're worried about grades, ask yourself these questions:★ Why are grades important? What do grades mean to me?★How do I get ready for class? Do I____my notes even when there isn't a test?★ Do I have a good place to do my homework?★ Have I tried different ways of studying? If your worry is about a fight you had, you might write down all the things you could do: write a note to him or her, invite him or her to a basketball game, say sorry to him or her, etc. Once you have a list of things you could do, you can choose the one that gets your friend back.3. Ask for helpWhen you're worried, it can help to find someone to talk to. You can ask your parents, friends, or teachers for help.根据短文内容,选择最佳答案。

There are hundreds of kinds of viruses (病毒). You never know which one you will get, so there isn't a cure for each one. When a virus attacks (攻击) your body, you may work hard to get rid of it. Blood rushes to your nose and brings congestion (充血) with it. You feel terrible because you can’t breathe well, but your body is actually “eating” the virus. Your temperature rises and you get a fever, but the heat of your body is killing the virus. You also have a runny nose to stop the virus from getting to your cells. You may feel miserable (痛苦的), but actually your body is trying to fight against the cold.Different people have different remedies for colds. In the United States and some other countries, for example, people might eat chicken soup to feel better. Some people take hot baths and drink warm liquids. Other people take the medicine to stop the fever, congestion, and runny nose. There is one interesting thing to note--some scientists say taking the medicine when you have a cold is actually bad for you. The virus stays in you longer because your body doesn't have a way to fight it or kill it. Bodies can do an amazing job on their own.51. When you have nose congestion, you _________.A. can't breathe wellB. will have a feverC. can’t speak wellD. will kill the virus52. _________ can kill the virus.A. Your cellsB. Your runny noseC. Rushing to the front yard, he saw that the house across the street was engulfed in flames, with his neighbors trapped inside.According to WFMZ-TV, Rivera didn’t hesitate. He climbed up the three-story building, which was already covered in flames. On a narrow ledge (窗台) at the burning home, a woman was trying to pull a man out of an attic window as smoke poured out. The man was calling for help.Rivera and a neighbor quickly grabbed a ladder and rushed to assist. “I just started jumping, jumping and jumping,” Rivera told WFMZ-TV. Come on!” Huth can be heard shouting in the video, as other onlookers and firefighters worked to assist. “Rivera is a true hero,” she told The Morning Call. Rivera managed to get the victim onto the ledge, and firefighters then took over, bringing the man to safety. The rescued man sustained critical burns and was taken to the hospital, according to WFMZ-TV. These involve tagging the viruses with antibodies and killing cells infected (使感染) by the virus. A global health crisis can bring the world to its knees, highlighting the huge impact a virus can have. This tiny organism, invisible under a normal microscope, can wreak havoc on worldwide. There are more viruses on Earth than stars in the universe, so why haven’t we always been maintaining social distance? Primarily because not all viruses can infect us, and for those that do, the body handles them quite well. To put it simply, viruses are extremely small parasites that infect all sorts of life, from the smallest bacteria to the largest mammals; they are considered parasites because they can’t survive by themselves. Viruses infect health y host cells and use their cellular “tools” to make more copies of themselves.Viruses are everywhere—in the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the land on which we walk. Yet, even after being bombarded with viruses, our body still manages to stay strong. This is because of our immune system and its clever strategies to fight back against viral attacks! Fortunately, with our modern healthcare advancements, we have extra help to fight viruses. These include vaccines, antiviral drugs, and other health technologies to keep us going in this never-ending war.As time goes by and our bodies encounter more viruses, we develop better immunological memory. This is the body’s way of remembering past infections, making it better prepared for future ones.8.Which can replace the underlined phrase “wreak havoc on” in paragraph 1?A.Depend heavily on.B.Have a bad effect on.C.Take the side effect off.D.Cut the whole power off.9.Why do we always fail to maintain social distance despite lots of viruses?A.Not all viruses infect humans.B.Not all viruses are small.C.Viruses need host cells.D.Viruses infect all life forms.10.What is one of the strategies our body uses to fight viral attacks?A.Reducing the number of viruses in the environment.B.Avoiding contacting with infected individuals.C.Taking advantage of the immune system.D.Increasing exposure to viruses.11.What can be the best title for the text?A.What is the definition of unusual viruses?B.How to know well the immune system?C.How does our body fight viruses?D.How to break down the viruses?A major tech company has expanded options for keeping personal information from online searches. The company stated earlier this week that it would allow people to request the removal of more types of content, such as personal contact information like phone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses, from search results. The new policy also permits the removal of other information that may pose a risk for identity theft, such as confidential (机密的) login accounts. In a statement, the company said that open access to information is vital. “But so is empowering (授权) people with the tools they need to protect themselves and keep their sensitive, personally identifiable information private,” the statement continued. “Privacy and online safety go hand in hand. And when you’re using the Internet, it’s important to have control over how your sensitive, personally identifiable information can be found.”Previously, the company had allowed people to request the removal of highly personalcontent that could cause direct harm. This included information such as bank account or credit card numbers that could be used for fraud (欺诈).“However, as information increasingly appears in unexpected places and is used in new ways, policies need to evolve,” the company said. It states that when it receives such requests, it will review all the content on the web page to avoid limiting the availability of useful information or content on public record on government or other official websites. “It’s important to remember that removing content from our search results won’t remove it from the Internet, which is why you may wish to contact the hosting site directly, if you’re comfortable doing so,” the company advised.12.What can we learn from the company’s statement?A.Keeping online private information safe is a must.B.Improving the net environment for citizens is a dream.C.The exposure of public information causes a discussion.D.Making a balanced approach to online safety is a fashion.13.Why does the company review web page content before removing personal information?A.To obey data privacy laws.B.To take down the entire website.C.To increase online personal information.D.To avoid removing useful or publicinformation.14.What is the main idea of the text?A.Personal information can be removed from online searches.B.Tech companies can find more images and information.C.Privacy risks arise from publishing private information.D.Tech companies know what you’ve done over the years.15.What is the text likely to be?A.A research paper on online privacy.B.A new approach to using a search engine.C.An advertisement for a data privacy service.D.A news report about privacy protection.Do you know what carpet cleaning is and how it works?
Creeper由BBN技术公司程序员罗伯特·托马斯(Robert Thomas)编写,通过阿帕网( ARPANET,互联网前身)从公司的DEC PDP-10传播,显示“我是Creeper,有本事来抓我呀!(I'm the creeper, catch me if you c an!)”。
(Here is that document you asked for,don't show anybody else)”。

News - October 31, 2007Kill the Virus, Stop the CancerResearchers show that some cancers can be slowed and perhaps blocked by knocking out the viruses that trigger them.By Lisa SteinResearchers have for the first time shown that as many as 1.3 million cases of cancer a year may one day be successfully treated or even prevented by targeting and destroying the viruses that cause them.Scientists at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York City say the finding could pave the way for conquering human cancers that are linked to preexisting viral infections, among them liver cancer (caused by the hepatitis B and C viruses), cervical cancer (from human papillomavirus) and lymphomas caused by the Epstein–Barr virus. The key, they say, is to find and destroy the viruses before they turn cancerous. In an attempt to do this, the researchers used a technique known as radioimmunotherapy in which radioisotopes (unstable elements that release radiation) mounted on antibodies (protein molecules akin to infection search-and-destroy missiles) are injected into the body. Once inside, researchers found that the antibodies zeroed in on their targets—viral antigens—and the radioisotopes destroyed nearby cancer cells without damaging surrounding healthy tissue.Viral antigens are proteins produced by virus-infected cells that can cause those cells to go berserk and start multiplying out of control, thereby becoming cancerous. Antibodies are immune proteins with binding sites that can fit like puzzle pieces into corresponding sites on foreign viral or bacterial antigens and disable them (triggering other immune responses). The problem with viruses that typically cause cancer, though, is that they tend hide out of reach—inside of rather than on the surface of cells. The Einstein researchers, however, found a way around that."We had a hunch that rapidly growing tumors can 'outgrow' their blood supply, resulting in dead tumor cells that might spill their viral antigens amongst the living cancer cells," said co-senior study author Arturo Casadevall, chair of Einstein's Microbiology & Immunology department. "So we hoped that by injecting antibodies hitched to isotopes into the blood that they'd be carried deep into the tumor mass and would latch onto these now-exposed antigens. Then the blast of radiation emitted by the radioisotope would destroy the…tumor cells nearby."The researchers tested their theory on mice, attaching the radioisotope rhenium 187 to antibodies that attack E6, a viral antigen produced by virtually all cervical cancer cells. They prepared a similar weapon against liver cancer by piggybacking rhenium 187 on antibodies that target HBx, a viral antigen made by cancerous liver cells. The mice, which had been injected with human cervical and liver cells, were treated with the appropriate radioimmunotherapy. In both cases, researchers report in PLoS ONE the therapies significantly slowed tumor growth compared with results in untreated mice. In the animals with cervical cancer, the tumors not only stopped growing but some actually shrunk."Radioimmunotherapy not only worked against these cancers but, in addition, the radioactivity was confined entirely to the tumor masses, leaving healthy tissues undamaged," said senior study co-author Ekaterina Dadachova, an associate professor of nuclear medicine and of microbiology and immunology at Einstein.Dadachova, a pioneer in the use of radioimmunotherapy against infectious diseases, previously successfully turned it on a streptococcal bacterium that causes pneumonia. Last year, she and her colleagues showed that the therapy could also be used to help halt HIV by targeting one of several viral proteins on the surface of HIV-infected cells."Our study has shown in principle that radioimmunotherapy can help in treating cancers caused by viruses—and, just as exciting, the approach also holds promise for cancer prevention,'' she said. "In people chronically infected with hepatitis B or C, human papillomaviruses or other viruses known to cause cancer, radioimmunotherapy could potentially eliminate virus-infected cells before they're able to transform into cancer cells."Radio immunotherapy (RIT) utilizes an antibody labeled with a radionuclide to deliver cytotoxic radiation to a target cell[1]. In cancer therapy, an antibody with specificity for a tumor-associated antigen is used to deliver a lethal dose of radiation to the tumor cells. The ability for the antibody to specifically bind to a tumor-associated antigen increases the dose delivered to the tumor cells while decreasing the dose to normal tissues. By its nature, RIT requires a tumor cell to express an antigen that is unique to the neoplasm or is not accessible in normal cells.。
