【用法】○1 like……very much 非常喜欢 ,副词短语very much修饰动词like ,用作状语。类似的还有：

like……best 最喜欢

like……a bit 有些喜欢

○2 代词it指代前一句的this television ,作主语；cost v. 意为“价钱为〞 ,作谓语；how much “多少〞 ,作宾语。

The other model’s more expensive, but it’s worth the money.

【译文】那种型号价格是贵一些 ,但它值这么多钱。

【用法】○1 the other adj./ pron. 意为“另一个〞 ,指代两者之中的另一个 ,可构成：one……the other……

e.g. I have two brothers. One is a doctor, and the other is a singer. 我有两个兄弟 ,一个是医生 ,另一个是歌手。

○2 worth adj. 值得的 ,有……的价值 ,可构成：be worth + n. / be worth of doing 某事值得被做

e.g. The question isn’t worth discussing again and again. 这问题不值得一遍一遍的讨论。

【用法】○1 buy sth. on instalments 分期付款买……

○2 pay a deposit of…… 付……的定金

○3 fourteen pounds a month for three years 本句省略了主语you 和谓语can pay

○4 pay v. 付〔钱〕〔paid—paid〕 ,可构成：sb. pay ( money ) for sth. 某人为某物付了多少钱。

形容词的平级比拟级：as……as 和……一样

【介绍】形容词比拟形式有三种：以expensive为例

较高比拟级〔more expensive, the most expensive〕

较低比拟级〔less expensive, the least expensive〕

平级比拟级〔as expensive as〕第一个as是副词 ,后跟形容词或副词；第二个as是连词 ,后跟名词、名词短语或省略句。

【用法】形容词的平级比拟as……as的用法：〔as + adj. + as / as + adj. + n. + as〕

○1 肯定句形式

The green apple is as sweet as the red one. 这个绿苹果同那个红苹果一样甜。

This pair of shoes is as cheap as that one. 这双鞋和那双一样廉价。

○2 疑问句形式

Is my uncle as tall as your father? 我叔叔和你父亲一样高吗？

Are these apples as red as those ones? 这些苹果和那些一样红吗？

○3 否认句形式〔not as……as == not so……as〕

The white knife is not so sharp as the black one. 这把白色的小刀不如那把褐色的锋利。

I don’t know as many people as you do. 我认识的人没有你认识的多。

【扩展】〔1〕比拟级中的指代词：one, ones, that, those

○1 one 指代前面提到的可数名词 ,同名不同物；

e.g. This blue dress is more beautiful than that yellow one.

○2 that 指代前面提到的 the + 不可数名词；

e.g. The weather in Beijing is warmer than that in Harbin.

The food in my country is very different from that of the USA

○3 those 指代前面提到的 the + 可数名词复数；可用 the ones替代；

e.g. The cars made in this factory are better than those〔the ones〕 in that factory.

这家工厂生产的汽车比那家工厂的好。

〔2〕比拟级 + and + 比拟级 ,“越来越……〞

e.g. The weather is becoming warmer and warmer. 天气变得越来越暖和了。

〔3〕the + 比拟级+ 句子 ,the + 比拟级 + 句子 ,“越…… ,越……〞

e.g. The harder you work, the more progress you will make. 你学习越努力 ,就会取得越大的进步。
