I got to put all kinds of goodies in the cart, like chocolate chip cookies, gummy bears, and even a big bag of popcorn! I felt like a kid in a candy store (well, I guess I kind of was!).When we got home, my dad had already set up the living room with blankets and pillows on the floor, so we could all cuddle up and watch movies together. We started with "The Lego Movie" because that's my little brother's favorite. I've seen it a million times, but it's still so funny! Afterward, we watched"The Princess Bride" – a classic that my parents love. I have to admit, even though it's an older movie, I really enjoyed it too. The sword fights were awesome, and the giant was hilarious!On Saturday morning, my best friend Lucy came over for a sleepover. Her mom dropped her off right after breakfast, and we immediately ran up to my room to play. We spent hours dressing up my old dolls and action figures, making up crazy adventures for them to go on. At one point, we even turned my bed into a pirate ship and had an epic battle between the good guys and the evil pirate captain (played by my stuffed bear, Captain Fluffkins).Around lunchtime, we took a break to eat the pizza my mom ordered for us. After we finished eating, we decided to have a dance party in the living room. We blasted our favorite songs and jumped around like crazy, doing all kinds of silly dances. My little brother even joined in for a little while before he got bored and went back to playing video games.Later that afternoon, my dad took us to the park to burn off some more energy. We played on the swings and the slide for a while, but the real fun started when we found a big patch of mud leftover from the rain earlier in the week. Before my dad could stop us, Lucy and I had already jumped right in and were havinga full-on mud fight! We were both completely covered in mud from head to toe by the time we were done. My dad wasn't too happy about having to give us both baths when we got home, but it was totally worth it.That night, we had a campout in the backyard. Lucy and I told ghost stories and made shadow puppets on the tent walls with our flashlights until we finally fell asleep, exhausted from our busy day.On Sunday morning, we woke up to the smell of my mom's famous pancakes.
