泛瑞翻译
据英国《泰晤士报》报道，在全球1000名翻译人员的协助下，英国伦敦“今日翻译”公司近日评选出当今世上最难翻译的词语，其中，班图人的希鲁巴语“ilunga”一词位居榜首，它的意思是：世人愿意以德报怨两次，但决不会有第三次。
在英语方面，意思为全权大使或特使的古典英语生字“plenipotentiary”击败了“googly”(木球运动中一种投球招数)、“spam”(斯帕姆午餐肉)及
嗦浮夸的语言)，成为翻译员心目中最棘手的英语单词。
“今日翻译”公司的行政总裁林斯基尼说：“人们有时忘记了，翻译员不只要翻译语言，更要翻译文化。
有时候，一种文化有的事物未必存在于另一种文化。
”

Saudade：葡萄牙语，渴望的一种

这句俗语要追溯到十五世纪末，费尔南多国王及伊莎贝尔女王成立了圣兄弟会(Santa hermandad),这是一种类似警察的行业，其作用是在惩治发生在城市周边的罪行。
圣兄弟会最大的特色就是总在事后出现，所以很多当时的文学作品都以圣兄弟会作为讽刺的对象。
当然他们的另一大特色就是穿着袖子,是绿色的制服。

每年的11月11日是圣马丁节，对于西班牙人来说这个节日一过天气就要凉下来了，作用类似中国的立冬，到了腌制腊肉的时节。
所以圣马丁节历来作为大量宰杀猪的开始。

二十个不要轻易说出口的西班牙语单词1.No puedes... / No vas a poder...你不能……很多时候，当你对一个人说他做不到某事的时候，他会选择相信你(不管你说的对还是错)。
这是千真万确的(particularmente verdadero)，特别是对于那些尊重你的想法的人(respeta tus opiniones)。

4.crédulo轻信的不要轻易说人轻信于他人，这会让人不自觉地怀疑自己交友识人的能力，任何时候都会疑神疑鬼，不敢去相信，也不敢去交付真心。
5.no不“不”可以说是所有消极词汇的源头(la madre de todas las palabras negativas)，能够对人产生巨大影响。
事实上，研究人员表示人们对“不”这个词的反应慢于“是”，而且大脑对这两个词的反应也不同。
这提醒我们要小心使用这个词。
6.fracaso失败有一种说法是“你是一个失败者”(Tú eres un fracaso)。
但是真的存在某种理由能让我们把这个词用在别人身上吗?有西班牙人做过一个小实验，将社交网络主页上的简介从“Fracasar no es una opción(失败不是一个选择)”，改成“El éxito es tu única opción(成功是你唯一的选择)”，这使他的主页访问量大大增加。
况且，谁没在生活中经历过失败呢?可别因一些事轻易定义一个人哦。

无法翻成英文的中文词汇有哪些中文和英文两种语言，代表着两种思维方式、两种文化背景，差异可不小。
即便现在基本上能做到两种语言间的转化，但还是无法做到100%切换，总会存在一些nuance（细微差别）。
比如说，中文中的“吃了么”，如果英语翻译成：Have you ever eaten? 确实把“吃了么”的字面意思给表达出来了，但是中国人之间那种嘘寒问暖的文化背景是绝壁体现不出来了。
话说回来，美国人见面打招呼会说：“What’s up?” 如果你翻译成“咋了？”其实压根没翻出来说话人的用意，“What’s up?”仅仅是打招呼的用语，而不是一个疑问句。
侃哥每天在后台都会收到很多同学问我“XXX的英语怎么说？”有些我尚且能应付，但有些中翻英的问题，实在让我感到心有余而力不足。
今天，侃哥整理一些“无法翻成英文”的中文词汇，大家自己体会一下语言间的这种“不兼容”的现象。
首先第一个我能想到的中文词汇是“辛苦了”。
阅兵时，当首长的车经过士兵方阵，首长高声呼喊：“同志们辛苦了！”士兵们齐刷刷回答道“为人民服务！”这里的“辛苦了”就很难翻成英语，“辛苦”的英文可以是“work hard”里面的hard，修饰动词work，这是个副词；亦或是“painstaking”，这是个形容词，表示“费尽苦心的”。
但总是感觉不合适，因为“辛苦了”是对于别人的付出的认可褒奖，不是对别人的努力的客观描述。
所以，我暂时将“辛苦了”处理成“Well done!”或“Good job!” 但还是存在差异，不觉得吗？第二个我想说的词是“笔”。
咱们中国人最喜欢的思维方式是“一招鲜吃遍天”，最好一个词能覆盖所有场景，你看--“笔”这个词可以指任何能书写的工具，无论是毛笔、圆珠笔、水笔、油画笔…你都可以统称为“笔”。
但这个大而全的概念，在英文中找不到一个对应的词，你必须表达出具体的某种笔：pencil（铅笔）；pen（钢笔）ball-point pen（圆珠笔）；ink brush（毛笔）；painting brush（画笔）；crayon（蜡笔）；chalk（粉笔）；stylus（智能手机触控笔）第三个我想说是各种中国的亲戚叫法。

11. Schadenfreude
German –This refers to the feeling of pleasure derived by seeing another’s misfortune.
德语：从他人的苦难中获取乐趣
小编注：你有什么不开心的，说出来让大家开心开心，说的是这个意思么?
12. Torschlusspanik
German –Translated literally, this word means “gate-closing pani c,” but its contextual meaning refers to “the fear of diminishing opportunities as one ages.”
德语：直译是“关门恐慌”，表示“因为年纪增长而对机会的流失感到恐慌”

13. Wabi-Sabi
Japanese –Much has been written on this Japanese concept, but in a sentence, one might be able to understand it as “a way of living that focuses on finding beauty within the imperfections of life and accepting peacefully the natural cycle of growth and decay.”
日语：在句子中看到这个词，可以理解为“在生活的不完美中找到美之所在、平静地接受万物作息的循环”

French – The fee ling that comes from not being in one’s home country.
法语：居于异乡而产生的情感。

Pascuense (Easter Island) –“the act of taking objects one desires from the house of a friend by gradually borrowing all of them.”
复活节岛的当地语言：以一天借一点的方式，把你喜欢的东西从朋友家一点点都拿光。

16. Hyggelig
Danish –Its “literal” translation into English gives connotations of a warm, friendly, cozy demeanor, but it’s unlikely that these words truly capture the essence of a hyggelig; it’s likely something th at must be experienced to be known. I think of good friends, cold beer, and a warm fire.
丹麦语：直译的话或许可以表达“热情的、有好的行为举止”这样的含义，但是这种词语不足以表达这个词的精髓，这也许是一种必须亲身经历才能体会的的感受，比如好朋友、冰镇啤酒、烤火之类的。

17. L’appel du vide
French –“The call of the void” is this French expression’s literal translation, but more significantly it’s used to describe the instinctive urge to jump from high places.
法语：直译是“空虚的呼唤”，它描述的是一种本能地想要从高处跳下的冲动。
小编注：跳吧……你将融化在蓝天里……恐高的人才不会有这种冲动呢!
18. Ya’aburnee
Arabic – Both morbid and beautiful at once, this incantatory word means “You bury me,” a declaration of one’s hope that they’ll die before another person because of how difficult it would be to live without them.
阿拉伯语：又变态又美丽的一个词，意为“你埋了我”，表达一种想要比另一个人早死的愿望，因为无法忍受TA死后自己独活的痛苦。

Spanish – While originally used to describe a mythical, spritelike entity that possesses humans and creates the feeling of awe of one’s surroundings in nature, its meaning has transitioned into referring to “the mysterious power that a work of art has to deeply move a person.”西班牙语：最先表示一种神秘的、令人对周遭环境产生敬畏之心的存在，如今词义发生了变迁，表示“一件艺术作品所含有的打动人心的
神秘力量”。

20. Saudade
Portuguese – One of the most beautiful of all words, translatable or not, this word “refers to the feeling of longing for something or someone that you love and which is lost.”
葡萄牙语，一切语言中最美的一个词，表达“对已失去的深爱之人或物的怀念之情”。
