Step 1. Warm-up.
1. Greetings.
2. Sing a song: Where are you from?
3. Play a game: What's missing?
Show some letter cards or word cards to the pupils. Give them 10 seconds
to remember. Then have them close their eyes. Take away one card. Let pupils
open eyes and find which card is missing.
Step 2. Presentation.
Let pupils show the dialogue of Lesson 3 in class. Have them look at the
picture and ask, "Who's that boy?" Elicit "It's me." from pupils. Then tell
the pupils how to introduce and describe the family members. For example,
"This is my father. He's cool."

1. Play the tape three times. The first and second times, have pupils listen
carefully and point to the books. Then let them talk about the dialogue.
The third time, have them listen and repeat.
2. Have pupils practise the dialogue in pairs. And encourage them to show
their dialogues in class.
3. Let pupils make new sentences with "What's your father?" Tell them they
can use the word they had learned.
Show the pictures nd write the new words on the board. Have pupils read
and spell the new words.
4. Show the animal cards and have pupils review the words. Then elicit the
new letters: Pp, Qq, Rr, Ss, Tt. Have pupils pay attention on the
pronunciation of the letters.
Step 3. Practice.
1. Game: I spy. Let pupils practise the letters from Pp to Tt.
Game: let pupils ask and answer with "What's your father/ mother? He/
She is..." one by one.

课后小结:What does your father/ mother do?这个句型学生会读,但理解的不好。还有Is he a … ?这个句型学生掌握的也不太好。还要加强练习。
