注意(1)can't be意为“不可能是”,表示有把握的否定推测。

Beauty in Common ThingsEach different part of China has itsown special forms of traditional art.These usually try to show the things that are important in lifesuch as love, beauty and family. The most common things,from paper to clay to bamboo, are turned into objects ofbeauty.According to Chinese history, sky lanterns were first used by Zhuge Kongming. He sent them out to ask for help when in trouble. Today, sky lanterns are used at festivals and othercelebrations. They are made of bamboo and covered withpaper. When the lanterns are lit, they slowly rise into the air like smallhot-air balloons for all to see. They are seen as bright symbols of happiness and good wishes.Paper cutting has been around for over1,500 years. Paper cutting sounds very easy but it can bedifficult to do. The paper, usually red, is folded before it is cutwith scissors. The most common pictures are flowers,fish, animals, andthings about Chinese history. During the SpringFestival, they are put on windows, doors and walls assymbols of wishes for good luck and a happy new year.Chinese clay art is famous becausethe clay pieces are so small but they look very real. Thepieces are usually cute children or lively characters froma Chinese fairy tale or historical story. The pieces arecarefully shaped by hand from a very special kind ofclay and then allowed to air-dry. After drying, they arefired at a very high heat. They are then polished and painted. Finally, materials such as wood or paper are added to make different things. It takes several weeks to complete everything. These small pieces of clay art show the love that all Chinese people have for life and beauty.。

英语中有两种语态:主动语态和被动语态。
主动语态表示主语是动作的执行者。
例如:Many people speak Chinese.谓语:speak 的动作是由主语 many people 来执行的。
被动语态表示主语是动作的承受者,即行为动作的对象。
例如:Chinese is spoken by many people. 主语 English 是动词 speak 的承受者。
(二)被动语态的构成被动语态由“助动词bc+及物动词的过去分词”构成。
人称、数和时态的变化是通过be的变化表现出来的。

本节课是一节阅读课。
讲授这一课时,通过展示朋友的DIY的石艺作品,让他们细心地发现身边其他美好的事物,导入本课的阅读,辅助速读,精读,反复阅读来达到学生理解文章,并且培养学生对祖国优秀传统文化的热爱并鼓励孩子们善于发现身边的美。
二、教学内容分析1.本课教学内容源自新目标教材九年级第5单元。
本节课是以“beauty in common things”为中心话题,围绕着中国的民间传统艺术,如sky lanterns, paper cutting以及Chinese clay art展开讨论和学习。
教学内容与学生的实际生活密切相关,学生易于产生思想上的共鸣,并学会运用被动语态描述自己身边美好的事物。
本节课为Section B的第二课时,是一节阅读课。
2.本部分教材使用PWP(Pre-reading,While-reading, Post-reading)模式教材所预设的目的是让学生在读懂文章的同时,能够分析文章脉络,提炼主要内容,明确作者写作意图。
三、学情分析1. 授课对象为普通校九年级学生。
到了九年级,随着课程难度的加深,英语学困生较多,多数学生学习英语的兴趣依然不太高。
2. 学生们通过本篇阅读,引导学生争做一名有心人,去发现身边的美好事物以及对祖国传统文化的热爱。
3. 学生已有的知识水平:学生们本单元已经学过被动语态,对于be made并不陌生,学生已经可以使用被动语态来表达自己的观点;九年级的学生已掌握了一定阅读的基本技能,有一定的词汇基础。
