Step 1 Warming up
1. Show different pictures to ask students what’s wrong with
him/her.
2. Present the content of the lesson.
Step 2 learn the new words
1. Show some pictures to introduce the new words : cough,
fever, headache, stomachache, toothache, ill, this, since,
cold, catch a cold, take sb’s temperature, fast food,
health, take.
2. Read the new words after the teacher.
3. Read the new words one by one.
4. The teacher shows the pictures of new words and let the
students to say as quickly as possible.
Step 3 Match the words and expressions in the box with
the pictures.
1. Look at the words first.
Look and listen.
Learn and read the words.
2. Choose the right word for each picture.
3. Check the answers.
Step 4 Listening
1. Listen and check what’s wrong with Betty and Daming.

2. Listen to Part 3 and answer the two questions:
1) Have Daming got a cold?
2) What kind of food does Daming usually eat?

把外语课由“讲演课”变成“实践课”。采用展示性的直观教学方法,使学生一上课就置身于一个讲英语的环境中,在既紧张而又活泼的气氛中学习英语。本节课让学生自己做动作来记忆新单词,印象会很深刻。
