I didn’t think there would be any difficulty in getting it repaired, as there are a lot of antique (古董) shops near my home. So I left home one morning carrying the chair with me. I went into the first shop expecting a friendly reception(接待). I was quite wrong. The man wouldn’t even look at my chair. The second shop, though slightly more polite, was just the same, and the third and the fourth--so I decided thatmy approach must be wrong.I entered the fifth shop with a plan in my mind. I placed the chair on the floor and said t o the shopkeeper, “Would you like to buy a chair?” He looked it over carefully and said, “Yes, not a bad chair. How much do you want for it, sir?” “Twenty pounds,” I said. “OK,” he said, “I’ll give you twenty pounds.” “It’s got a slightly broken leg,” I said. “Yes, I saw that, it’s nothing.”Everything was going according to my plan and l was getting excited. “What will you do with it?” I asked.“Oh, it will be easy to sell once the repair is done.” “I’ll buy it,” I said. “What do you mean? You’ve just sold it to me,” he said. “Yes, I know but I’ve changed my mind. I am sorry. I’ll give you twenty-seven pounds for it.” “Y ou must be crazy,” he said. Then, suddenly the penny dropped. “I know what you want. You want me to repair your chair.” “You’re right,” I said. “And what would you have done if I had walked in and said, ‘Would you repair this chair for me?’” “I wouldn’t have agreed to do it,” he said. “We don’t do repairs, not enough money in it and too much trouble. 五年级上册英语课堂作业剑桥版全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1English Class HomeworkI have so much English homework this week from our new Cambridge curriculum books! On Monday, we had to write sentences using the new vocabulary words we learned likeconsume, distribute, and insufficient. Those were really hard words. I tried my best though. For Tuesday, the homework was to read a short story called "The Marble Bouncer" and answer comprehension questions about the main character, setting, and plot. The story was kind of confusing with all the new vocabulary, but I got through it. I hate homework that makes me read because it takes me forever and I get distracted really easily. At least the questions were multiple choice so I didn't have to write out the answers. The worst homework was the grammar worksheet we had due on Wednesday. We learned about perfect verb tenses like "I have eaten" or "They had danced." Why are there so many ways to say the same thing in English? It's so confusing! I did my beston the worksheet, underlining the verbs and writing which tense each one was. But I definitely made some mistakes. I'll have to ask my teacher to go over that one again in class. For Thursday, we had to write a short story of our own using vocabulary words from our last unit. That one was kind of fun because I got to make up my own story. But it was also hard trying to use all those random words like "catastrophe" and "companion" in a way that made sense. Here's my story:"One day, my companion Jake and I went on a catastrophe of a camping trip. We packed insufficient amounts of food and had to consume crumbs for dinner. Then a swarm of mosquitoes distributed their angry bites all over our arms and legs. It was a disaster! We couldn't wait to get home."See, I worked those vocabulary words in there! Hopefully I used them correctly. My teacher always says I have a good imagination, so I think she'll like my weird little story. Finally, we had to do Pronunciation Practice for homework over the weekend. We have to record ourselves reading a page from our book and label which words we stumbled over or mispronounced. I hate this assignment! It's so awkward hearing my own voice played back. Plus, I tend to a mumble a lot so I know I'll get points off for lack of clarity. At least this is the last of the homework for now. I'm exhausted from all this extra English practice. I know my teachers are just trying to prepare us for the bigger workload in middle school next year. But doesn't homework in 5th grade feel like a lot sometimes? We have so much to do on top of all our other subjects too. I'll be glad when this week is over and I can relax a little. Maybe I can even go outside and play for once! Being a kid is hard work.篇2English Class Homework from the Cambridge TextbookHi there! My name is Emma and I'm a 5th grader at Oak Grove Elementary School. I wanted to tell you all about the English homework we get from our Cambridge textbook. Get ready, because there's a lot to cover!First up, we have the Reading and Writing sections. Ohh boy, these can really be a doozy sometimes! For the reading part, we have to read through various stories, texts, advertisements, you name it. Then we have to answer comprehension questions about things like the main idea, making inferences, understanding vocabulary in context, and more. I have to admit, some of those inference questions really make me scratch myhead. How am I supposed to know what the character was truly feeling if the book didn't directly say it? That's where I have to practice my critical thinking skills. As for the writing portion, we have to do all sorts of assignments. One week we might have to write a narrative story, while another week we're writing a persuasive essay. My teacher is really strict about making sure we follow the structure for each type of writing. You know, having a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a solid conclusion. Using transition words is also super important. I can't count how many times I've had points deducted for not being "cohesive" enough. Sentence structure and varying my openers is another thing they harp on a lot. No more starting every sentence with "I" or "There was"!Okay, next up is the Vocabulary section. Ugghh...my least favorite part, if I'm being honest. We're constantly getting lists of new vocabulary words to learn and study. The hard part is using them correctly in context and really understanding their meaning. It's not enough to just memorize the definition. We have to use them in our writing, make examples, identify antonyms and synonyms, and sometimes even learn their roots or origins. It can feel like drinking from a fire hose with how many new words we learn each unit!Don't even get me started on Spelling and Grammar... Okay, I'll share a little bit. For spelling, we not only have weekly lists to study, but we're expected to apply all those tricky spelling rules we've learned. You know, like when to use a "c" vs. a "k" sound? Or how about words with double consonants? I always struggle with those words that follow a totally different pattern, like "island." Grammar has its own challenges like identifying parts of speech, fixing sentence fragments or run-ons, maintaining proper subject-verb agreement, and using correct pronoun cases. Phew! I really have to stay on my toes.I can't forget about the Listening section either. Here, we do all sorts of activities like listening to conversations, stories, or podcasts and then answering comprehension questions. We have to listen for details, identify context clues, and sometimes even pick up on tone and emotions being expressed. Every once in a while, we'll have to listen and follow instructions, like for putting together a craft or making something. Those can be pretty fun when we get a chance to use our hands!Whew, I think that covers just about everything! As you can see, we really run the gauntlet when it comes to our English homework. Between reading, writing, vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and listening...well, let's just say I'm getting one heckof an education! It keeps me busy for sure, but I know it's helping me become a stronger reader, writer, speaker, and all-around communicator. Some nights I'm feeling the homework struggle for real, but I know it will pay off in the end. Okay, I'd better get cracking on this next assignment. Maybe I'll tell you about our Math homework next time!篇3My Fifth Grade English HomeworkHi! My name is Emma and I'm a 5th grader. I wanted to tell you all about the homework we get for English class using the Cambridge curriculum books. We have so much homework, it's crazy! But I actually don't mind it that much since the activities are really fun and help me practice all the language skills we need to learn.Let me start by telling you about the homework for our Student's Book. After we go over each unit in class, we always have pages to complete in the workbook section at the back. These pages review vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, writing, and other skills from that unit. For example, after we learned about using adjectives to describe people's personalities in Unit 2, we had a few pages where wehad to write sentences describing different people's character traits. It was good writing practice! There are usually around 10 pages per unit to complete. I don't mind the writing and grammar exercises, but I find the vocabulary pages kind of tedious with all the matching and filling in the blanks. My favorite is definitely the reading comprehension pages where you read fun stories and answer questions about them. Some of the stories are so interesting and funny! My best friend Rachel and I always race to see who can read them faster at home.In addition to the Student's Book homework, we also have activities to do from the Workbook that go along with each unit. These activities are more games and puzzles focused on the target vocabulary and grammar concepts. I really like the wordsearches, mazes, scrambled words, and other puzzle pages because they make practicing English feel like playing games rather than doing real work. Although some of the writing pages in the Workbook can get a little boring too.Another huge part of our homework is reading. We have a Cambridge Reader book which is a longer chapter book that connects to the units we're covering. We have to read a few chapters at home and be prepared for class discussion questionsabout the plot and characters. The stories are usually pretty entertaining though, with fun illustrations too. Last term's reader was about a magic school for kids which was really imaginative and exciting to read about. As if that wasn't enough homework already, we also have online activities to complete each week through the Cambridge resource website. These are interactive grammar and vocabulary games and quizzes that go along with what we're learning. I'll admit, the online activities are probably my least favorite part of the homework because they feel more like real schoolwork than the book-based stuff. Although I do like that you get little badges and points for completing them successfully. I'm so competitive that I'm always trying to get ahead of my friends on the website leaderboards! Finally, the last major homework component is our writing journal. We have to write a journal entry once a week about what we did that week and how we felt. The purpose is to practice informal writing, using examples of new vocabulary from our lessons, and also just getting used to expressing ourselves through the written word. Some weeks the journal is kind of hard if not much exciting happened. But other weeks when I got to go somewhere fun like the zoo or had an awesome playdate withfriends, the journal is really easy to write about all the cool things I did.Phew! I'm tired just from explaining all the different homework we have for English class. As you can probably tell, the Cambridge curriculum definitely keeps us 5th graders busy practicing our English skills outside of class. Between all the books, online activities, reading, and writing journals, I'd estimate we probably have around 2-3 hours of English homework per week. It's a lot of work for sure. But despite the heavy workload, I actually really enjoy my English homework for the most part. The activities are fun and high-quality, which makes practicing English feel like less of a chore. I'm already seeing myself improve my vocabulary, writing, reading comprehension, and overall English ability compared to the beginning of the year. So I think all the homework is paying off!The homework doesn't stress me out too much because it's spread over different types of activities and exercises. Except when I've waited until the last minute and don't have much time left before it's all due...then it can definitely feel overwhelming trying to cram it all in! But for the most part, if I pace myself throughout the week, it's totally manageable. What also really helps is that we get to do some of the homework together as a class before taking it home to complete independently. Our teacher is awesome about going through examples first and giving us guidance. She also lets us work on the activities together in small groups sometimes. This not only makes the homework easier to understand, but it's more fun doing it alongside my friends too.Overall, while the amount of English homework can feel excessive, I don't actually mind it very much. The variety of activities keeps things from getting too tedious or boring. And I know it's making me a stronger English student in the process. Sometimes I may complain about it to my parents, but I'm also low-key proud of myself for taking on such an intensive curriculum. It's a good challenge!Well, I think that's just about covered all the main components of the 5th grade Cambridge English homework. I've really got to get started on this week's workload now though...maybe I'll write more about it in my journal entry later! Thanks for reading aboutmy experiences. Sorry if I rambled on a bit too long there. Let me know if you have any other questions!。

Go to your local solution folder and create a new file called ".gitignore.txt" [Note] this step is only important if you have some sensitive information in your project, otherwise, let visual studio create it for you1. Now open the ".gitignore.txt" file and paste this in it, this is a template for ignoring common visual studio files (check the links below)2. ## Ignore Visual Studio temporary files, build results, and## files generated by popular Visual Studio add-ons.# User-specific files*.suo*.user*.userosscache*.sln.docstates# User-specific files (MonoDevelop/Xamarin Studio)*.userprefs# Build results[Dd]ebug/[Dd]ebugPublic/[Rr]elease/[Rr]eleases/x64/x86/bld/ [Bb]in/[Oo]bj/[Ll]og/# Visual Studio 2015 cache/options directory.vs/# Uncomment if you have tasks that create the project's static files in wwwroot #wwwroot/# MSTest test Results[Tt]est[Rr]esult*/[Bb]uild[Ll]og.*# NUNIT*.VisualState.xmlTestResult.xml# Build Results of an ATL Project[Dd]ebugPS/[Rr]eleasePS/dlldata.c# DNXproject.lock.jsonproject.fragment.lock.jsonartifacts/*_i.c*_p.c*_i.h*.ilk*.meta*.obj*.pch*.pdb*.pgc*.pgd*.rsp*.sbr*.tlb*.tli*.tlh*.tmp*.tmp_proj*.log*.vspscc*.vssscc.builds*.pidb*.svclog*.scc# Chutzpah Test files_Chutzpah*# Visual C++ cache filesipch/*.aps*.ncb*.opendb*.opensdf*.sdf*.cachefile*.VC.db*.VC.VC.opendb# Visual Studio profiler*.psess*.vsp*.vspx*.sap# TFS 2012 Local Workspace$tf/# Guidance Automation Toolkit*.gpState# ReSharper is a .NET coding add-in_ReSharper*/*.[Rr]e[Ss]harper*er# JustCode is a .NET coding add-in.JustCode# TeamCity is a build add-in_TeamCity*# DotCover is a Code Coverage Tool*.dotCover# NCrunch_NCrunch_*.*crunch*.local.xmlnCrunchTemp_*# MightyMoose*.mm.*/# Web workbench (sass).sass-cache/# Installshield output folder[Ee]xpress/# DocProject is a documentation generator add-in DocProject/buildhelp/DocProject/Help/*.HxTDocProject/Help/*.HxCDocProject/Help/*.hhcDocProject/Help/*.hhkDocProject/Help/*.hhpDocProject/Help/Html2DocProject/Help/html# Click-Once directorypublish/# Publish Web Output*.[Pp]ublish.xml*.azurePubxml# TODO: Comment the next line if you want to checkin your web deploy settings# but database connection strings (with potential passwords) will be unencrypted*.pubxml*.publishproj# Microsoft Azure Web App publish settings. Here you could find an image with the number of references of a method or class. If you can't see the code lens please see this question: Missing CodeLens references count in VS 2015 Community editionSnippetsIntoductionSince Visual Studio 2005 can you make Intellisense Code Snippets. This allow you to generate some code just by typing one keyword and press two times the tab key.Using the codeThe XML code you need for make an Intellisense Code Snippet stands below:<CodeSnippets xmlns="/VisualStudio/CodeSnippet"><CodeSnippet Format="1.0.0">

<Shortcut></Shortcut>

<Keywords><Keyword>abc<Keyword><Keyword>def<Keyword></keywords>
<Snippet> <Imports> <Import><Namespace>System</Namespace></Import></Imports><Declarations> <Literal Editable="true/false">
<Type>System.String</Type><ToolTip>A tip you can show</ToolTip><Default>default value</Default><Function></Function> </Literal>
<Type>System.String</Type><ToolTip>A tip you can show</ToolTip><Default>default value</Default><Function></Function> </Declarations><References> <Reference><Assembly>System.Data.dll</Assembly></Reference></References>

</Snippet></CodeSnippet></CodeSnippets>In the snippet tag, you have two required tags named Header and Snippet. You can find more information in next headings. The number near the name are correspondents with the numbers in the code above. There can be zero or more CodeSnippet elements added into the CodeSnippets element.1. HeaderIn the Header-tag, you can place some specific information about the snippet and what he does. The important tags you can use inside this tag are:Source table (but edits): 2. SnippetIn the snippet tag, you can use three different tags. This can be:•Imports•Declarations•Code (required)•ReferencesThese are explained below.2.1 ImportsImports contain the needed namespaces you need for the code. Use the import-tag inside this tag and here you can place the needed namespaces each with the Namespace-tag.2.2 DeclarationsDeclarations can be used for declaring some literals or objects into your code in the Code-tag. The children are literals and objects.2.2.1 Literals and objectsLiterals and objects define the literals and objects of the code snippet that you can edit. Functionality are literals and objects are the same, but it has an additional type constraint. The Literal and object-tag can contain next children:•ID: The ID of the literal (required)•Type: The type of that object including namespace and class (required by objects)•ToolTip: Gives a tip•Default: A default value of that object (required)•FunctionsIn the snippets, there are some predefined literals. They are listed below:Functions in the Literal- or Object-tag means that you can use a function for generating code depending on another element. There are three functions that I know:1 only available in Visual Studio 2005.Source table: Attributes for the Literal and Object ElementsThe Literal and Object tags can have some optional attributes.Source table: 2.3 ReferencesGroups reference elements that contains information about assembly references for the code snippet. This can contain next elements:Assembly: Contains the name of the assembly by the code snippet (required)•Url: Contains a website that gives more information about the assembly•2.4 CodeCode is the code you will generate between and . Place the ID of your literal between dollar chars and Visual Studio will ask you for change these default value if the declarations are filled in. Here, you've an example for C# and VB for the shortcut propfull.<!-- ... This open next window:Choose the language into the combo box for which language you've made the snippet. click on "Import..."and choose the file you've made.3. Click on "Finish". If the file name already has been used, Visual Studio go ask to override the existing file. You've three options:Overwrite: Overwrites the file. You can use this option if you will edit an old snippet.•Rename: Goes to rename the file to an unique name.•Skip: Cancels the import. Renames the file to a unique name.•4. You could also add a new location with all the snippets you've made by clicking on the "Add..." button on the first window and select the folder in the "select folder window". The advantage is now when a new valid snippet is added in that folder, you can use this directly in Visual Studio.Note: Test after importing your snippet for errors, so you don't have any problems when you usethe snippet. You can always remove or overwrite the snippet if there is an error.Point of intrestYou can also see the documentation on MSDN for more information.Override merge/compare toolsGot to Tools | Options | Source Control | Visual Studio Team Foundation Serverclick on the Configure User Tools:You can add separate overrides for 'Compare' and 'Merge' operations. Click on Add and select the operation you want to override. You'd need to type the path to the tool you use, and the exact arguments your tool expects.
