It includes Analysis of Teaching Material, Teaching Methods, Studying Methods, Teaching Procedures and Blackboard Design. Design Principle: 设计宗旨The new course reformation emphasizes that the development of students is the foundation of teaching. That means the teachers should try to adjust the instructional target of classroom teaching, cultivate the students’ abilities of innovation and practice, adjust the relationship between the teachers and the students in classroom teaching, adjust the teaching style and learning style as well as the presentation style of the teaching contents. These are the starting points and the basic principles of my teaching design. As an Organizer of teaching activities , I’ll try to make the students enjoy themselves in the process of seeking for knowledge and experience the happiness of success. Meanwhile, learn to cooperate with each other and finally improve their comprehensive ability of communicating in English.PART ONE Analysis of Teaching Material 教材分析A. Status and Function 地位和作用This section is from Ren’ai Project English Unit 3 Topic 2. This topic mainly talks about music. According to the introductions of different kinds of music and some great musicians, try to make the students realize the importance of music in our daily life and the moving experience of the great musician ---Mozart. His never—give ---up attitude made him succeed in the end. So I think it’s a good chance to help the students learn something from his experience . In Section C, the reading material plays an important role in the teaching of this unit. After learning this Section, the students will know what they should do when they want to achieve their dreams.Analysis of the Students 学生分析The students have learned English for more than one and a half years. It’s easy for them to understand the words and sentences in class. Besides, they can also express their own ideas in simple English. Now, they show great interest in learning English.B. Teaching Aims and Demands 教学目标Knowledge Objects: 知识目标a. To enable the students to master the following new words, phrases and usefulexpressions.b. To help the students learn the exclamatory sentences by talking about musicc. To help the students get some reading skills(The knowledge objects of this section is to enable the students to master the following new words, phrases and useful expressions. The students will also learn the exclamatory sentences by talking about music. And I think it’s necessary for the students to know about the reading skills, such as finding out the best title, the main idea, the topic sentences and so on.)Ability Objects: 能力目标a. To develop the students’four basic abilities of listening, speaking, reading andwriting.b. To improve the students’ability of inferring from the context, skimming for overallmeaning and scanning for details.(I believe, with the help of the teacher, the students will develop their four basicabilities by listening, speaking, reading and writing. The students will be able to infer from the context,skim for overall meaning as well as scan for details...)Moral Objects: 德育目标a. To arouse the students’ interest in learning English.b. To improve the students’ writing ability by writing a passage about a favorite musician Teaching aid: 教学辅助手段A overhead project, some pictures and so on.(In order to make my class more lively and interesting, I’ll make full use of some modern teaching facilities, such as a overhead project, and so on to make the inputs reasonable and comprehensible.)PART TWO Teaching Methods: 教学方法a. Communicative Teaching Methodb. Audio---visual Teaching methodc. Task---based Teaching Method(As we know, the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to cultivate students’ ability of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson, I’ll mainly use Communicative Teaching Method, Audio---visual Teaching method and Task---based Teaching Method. That is to say, I’ll get the students to have a better understanding of the key structures of this section. I’ll give the students some tasks and arrange four kinds of activities: talking freely, watching CAI, f having a reading competition and showing the writing compositions. )PART THREE Studying Methods: 学法a. How to be successful language learners.b. Help the students form good learning habitsc. PART FOUR Teaching Procedures: 教学过程Now it’s time for me to express my idea of teaching procedures.A. Warm ---up.a. The students enjoy one of Mozart’s masterpiecesb. The students will talk about the different kinds of musicC. The students know about the background knowledge of Mozart(To warm up the atmosphere and concentrate the students’attention, I’ll make the students enjoy the beautiful music composed my Mozart. As the saying goes, “Learn while reviewing the old”. It’s necessary to provide situations for students to review the learned knowledge. So I’ll ask some students to talk about the different kinds of music, then one of then will talk about classical music. And Mozart is one of the greatest classical musicians. The students will also receive some moral education in this procedure.)B. PresentationStep I. Fast and further readinga. Show the students some other pictures to present the new words, phrases anduseful expressions.b. The students read the passage as fast as possible and find out the main ideac. The students read the passage again and guess the meaning of the word “wonder” inthe titled. The students read the passage paragraph by paragraph, at the same time , finish thereading tasks in each paragraph.(To make the reading material more vividly, I’ll show the students some other pictures to present the new words, phrases and useful expressions. At the same time, make the students get the main idea of the reading passage “The great wonder---Mozart”. In order to arouse the students’ interest in learning English, I’ll play the video of the passage for the students, which will help to have a better understanding of the passage. In this step, I’d like to improve the students’ ability of inferring from the context, skimming for overall meaning and scanning for details.)Step II. Listen and Imitatea.Play the tape for the students to listen and repeat.(To improve the students’ spoken English, the students are required to follow the tape to read the passage sentence by sentence. They will have to pay special attention to the pronunciation and intonation. )b. Have a reading competition. The students read the passage in groups of four. Try toread the passage as fast as possible to prepare for the competition.(In my view, it’s an effective way to improve the students’ reading ability by having a competition like this. The students will have to master some reading skills It’s helpful for them to practice reading English.)C. Group workThe students complete the learning tasks on the paper and then work in groups of four to solve the problems by themselves.(The new English course says that the students are the real master of the classroom teaching. The teachers should act as a guider, an organizer and a cooperator. They should try their best to make the students take an active part in the class activities. Therefore, the students will learn to cooperate with each other. It’s good to improve the students’ cooperation consciousness.D.Showa. The students show what they have learned in front of the class. Meanwhile, the teacher helps to solve the difficult problems.(The students will feel proud of themselves because they can learn so much by themselves. They will have a sense of achieving success.)E. WritingThe students write a short composition about a favorite musician.(In order to improve the students’writing ability, I’ll ask the students to write a composition about a favorite musician. They will have to use the sentences in the passage in their compositions.Homework:a. Remember the new words, phrases and useful expressionsb. Try to retell the passage(I think homework is so important that the students should speak English asmuch as possible both in class and after class. It’s necessary for students to do some extensive exercises to consolidate the knowledge they have learned in class.)PART FIVE Blackboard Design: 板书设计To make it easier for the students to master the important teaching points in this section , I’ll offer the students a simple but scientific blackboard design. The key words, phrases and the important sentences on the blackboard will give the students a deep impression about what they have learned in this section.
