一、教学内容及分析

本单元内容为人教版七年级Unit10 Can you play the guitar? 本单元的中心话题是运用情态动词谈论自己在某一方面所具有的能力。整个单元的内容是围绕情态动词 can 展开的。通过本单元的，使学生能够运用情态动词can 表达自己在某一方面所具有的才能，谈论自己的喜好与意愿，能够自荐或参加各种课外俱乐部，并制作海报，而且学会写出招聘广告.并让学生在实践中学会和使用目标语，鼓励学生积极参加各种课外活动，培养学生的多方面才能及团队精神。第一课时引导归纳第十单元的基本知识要点，第二课时在掌握基础上进行能力训练。利用检测习题，对所学的知识点进行巩固提高。本单元内容与学生的实际生活密切相关，易于学生掌握运用英语进行交际和交流。在学习活动中运用句型进行交际，培养学生的口语表达能力。让学生在学习及应用中，巩固以前所学知识，并加以创新，并用到实践中。把知识进行整合，让学生头脑中有一个整体的认识。通过伙伴交流，师生问答的形式，促进学生之间和师生之间的情感交流，增进情谊。

二、学习者特征分析

本单元的主题是运用情态动词Can谈论能力，通过对目标语言的学习使学生能够表达自己在某一方面所具备的才能；通过谈论彼此的特长与爱好培养一种群体意识。在以前的学习中，学生已经学习了一些行为动作的表达法，而教学“谈论能力”只是将情态动词can用于这些表达中；情态动词can在肯定旬、否定句和疑问句中的构成，和学生已经学过的be动词的结构有相同的地方，教师在教学中要善于引导学生比较这两种结构的异同以加强记忆。同时引导学生采用Repeating和Cooperating的学习策略，学习一些新词汇，掌握一些重点句型，在小组合作学习的过程中，培养他们团队合作精神并学会感谢人。
