丙烯酸酯的合成多采用直接酯化法。

目前对于丙烯酸长链酯的研究主要集中于催化剂及反应条件的选择，且使用最多的催化剂是对甲苯磺酸[6-7]，而对于酸性更强的甲基磺酸作为催化剂的研究却未见文献报道。

本工作以甲基磺酸为催化剂[8],加入少量阻聚剂防止因丙烯酸及生成的丙烯酸十二酯的聚合副反应而降低产物收率[9]，在探讨甲基磺酸催化机理的基础上，测定了甲基磺酸为催化剂条件下丙烯酸与十二醇酯化反应的动力学参数，并考察了温度、催化剂用量对速率常数的影响。
