Part One Pre-reading

T: Hi, everyone. Nice to meet you. I am Miss Zhang, your new English teacher. I come from Nanjing Meiyuan

Middle School. I would like to show you around my school. Also,you can make friends with some of my

students. Do you want to know them?

S:Yes.

T:Please look at the two pictures of my school on the screen. There is a playground and some

teaching buildings. Here are my students. The first boy is so excited. Is he funny?

S:Yes, he is funny.

T:Do you know how old he is?

S: He is 12 years old.

T: Yeah. He has short hair. And he was born in Japan. 这里的‘was born’也就是出生的意思。By the

way, how old are you? Where were you born?

T:Thank you! Then let’s welcome the second boy. Does he wear a pair of glasses or not?

S:He wears glasses.

T:Maybe he wears glasses because he reads a lot. He works hard at school. His best subject is English.

That means he is good at English. Meanwhile, he is polite and helpful. Please read the sentences after

me.

At last, I will introduce a girl to you. What is she doing now?

S: She is dancing.

T: Yes, her name is Zhu Yuqi. What does she look like?

S: She is pretty and slim.

T: Well, I agree with you. She is slim. She likes dancing. She is in a Dancing Club.

She also enjoys listening to music after school. Please read the sentences after me.
