拓展(1)hurry还可用作动词。
表示匆忙到某处去,hurry之后接表示地点的副词或介词短语即可;hurry to do sth.意为“匆忙做某事”。

课文的文字浅显但不失幽默,作者用列举数据和事实的方法为我们展现出失物招领处的拥挤、繁忙景象凸显了它在人们生活中的重要性和便利性。
二、学情分析初一有不少学生掌握了一定的词汇和语法知识,具有一定的听说读写能力。
但我校为农村普九学校,学生的素质及英语基础参差不齐,大多数学生英语知识落后面大,有不少学生存在厌学情绪,不热心参与课堂教学活动。
三、设计理念从谈论当我们丢失东西的时候,应该去哪里找回失物作为话题开始,引入到文章的主题--介绍美国失物招领处,让学生阅读并了解美国失物招领处的文章,帮助学生开阔眼界,增进学生对中西方文化差异的理解。
通过阅读课文,让学生掌握重点词汇并且能运用目标词汇和句型,达到提高用英语做事情的语言运用能力。
