I have to admit that I often find it difficult to part

with things that have sentimental value to me. Whether it's

a piece of clothing that I've had for years or a book that

I've read countless times, I tend to hold onto these items

because they bring back memories and emotions that I don't

want to let go of.

One example of this is a sweater that I've had since

high school. It's nothing special, just a plain gray

sweater, but I wore it all the time during my senior year

and it became sort of a comfort item for me. Whenever I

felt stressed or overwhelmed, I would put on that sweater

and instantly feel better. Even now, years later, just

seeing that sweater in my closet brings back a flood of

memories and emotions.
