1My Heart's WhispersHi there! I'm just a regular 3rd grader like lots of other kids, but I've got a whole universe of thoughts and feelings swirling around inside my mind and heart. I figured it was time to let some of those inner whispers out into the open for once. Here goes nothing!First off, being a kid isn't all rainbows and unicorns like some grown-ups seem to think. We've got plenty of pressures and worries of our own, even if they seem small and silly to adults. Like when I have a big test coming up, my stomach gets all twisted up in nervous knots. Or when I really want to get picked for the kickball team but I'm scared I'll be the last one chosen again. Those moments can feel just as huge and overwhelming to me as work deadlines or money troubles are for mom and dad.I get confused and upset just like anybody else. Then there are the times I feel totally misunderstood by the bigger people in my life. Like when I'm having a bad day and justneed some space, but my parents keep bugging me about what's wrong. Or when a teacher thinks I'm not paying attention but my mind just happened to wander for a minute. I'm not a little robot, you know? I have my own thoughts and moods that come and go. I wish the grown-ups would try a little harder to see things through my eyes sometimes. But I don't want you to think I'm all grouchy and grumpy all the time, because that's definitely not true! Making my friends laugh with goofy jokes and doing cartwheels at recess are two of my absolute favorite things. There's nothing better than that carefree, giggly feeling of just being a kid and having fun with my best buds. Why would anyone ever want to give that up?I also love using my creativity and imagination to its fullest. Doodling crazy pictures, writing wacky stories, putting on playful performances for my family – activities like those make me feel so free and alive. To me, there's no better way to spend my time than letting my thoughts and ideas run totally wild without any limits. If I could, I would live in that magical dreamworld forever!Sometimes though, even my big colorful imagination can't protect me from feelings of sadness or loneliness creeping in. Like when I see other kids getting left out or bullied at school and I wish I could make it stop for them. Or when I think aboutpeople in the world who don't have enough food or a safe home and I want to find a way to help them. For a little kid, realizing that there's so much unfairness and suffering out there can be pretty scary and upsetting. But you know what? I've decided that instead of letting those heavy thoughts drag me down, I'm going to use my energy and optimism to make whateverpositive difference I can. Even if it's just by being a friend to a classmate who looks lonely or helping out at a food drive. Taking little steps to spread more kindness and happiness around is my new goal in life. After all, why wouldn't I want to make this world a brighter, more loving place?Well, those are some of the most important things on my mind lately. As I got older and wiser, maybe my thoughts and feelings grew up a little too! But I'm certainly not a grown-up yet, not by a long shot. I've still got lots and lots of daydreaming, playing, giggling, questioning and exploring left to do. And I can't wait to see what other surprises are waiting to be discovered, both inside my head and out in the big amazing world. Thanks for letting me get some of my "heart whispers" off my chest! I'll give your ears a rest now. But you can be sure thereare countless more thoughts and emotions swirling through this third grade mind of mine, just waiting to be shared another day. I'm definitely not running out of things to say anytime soon!篇2Let Me Tell You What's On My MindHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm a 3rd grader at Oakwood Elementary School. Today I wanted to share some of my thoughts and feelings with you. Being a kid isn't always easy, you know? We have lots of things to deal with and think about. One of the biggest things on my mind lately is my family. I'm really lucky to have a great mom, dad, and little brother. But it can be hard when my parents fight sometimes. They try not to do it in front of us, but we can hear them yelling at each other. It makes me feel scared and sad. I just want everyone to get along and be happy. I worry that my parents might get divorced like what happened to my friend Michael's parents. I don't want our family to break apart. Lately, I've been giving my mom and dad extra hugs to remind them how much I love them.School is another thing that occupies a lot of my thoughts and emotions. Overall, I really like school and my teachers are nice. I have some good friends too which makes it fun. Butthere's this one boy in my class who is a big bully. He's always calling me and my friends names and trying to leave us out of games at recess. Sometimes he even kicks or pushes us. It makes me angry but I'm also afraid to stand up to him. I don't want to get in trouble or for him to pick on me even more. I've told the teacher what he's doing but it doesn't seem to stop him. I just wish he would be nice and treat everyone with respect like we're taught.Another thing that's on my mind a lot is my responsibilities at home. Even though I'm just a kid, I have certain chores and duties I have to take care of. I'm expected to keep my room clean, help set the table for meals, feed our dog Buster, and also be responsible for bringing in the mail and recycling bins from the curb. Sometimes I forget or get lazy about doing my chores and then my parents get mad at me. I know I should listen better, but I get distracted easily and would rather be playing than doing work. It's hard being a kid with a short attention span! I'm going to try harder to be more responsible.Another big part of my life that I think about a lot is my extracurricular activities. Right now, I take gymnastics classes twice a week and I'm also on a recreational soccer team that has games on Saturdays. Gymnastics is a lot of fun and my coachessay I'm really flexible and talented. I love learning new skills on the bars, beam, and floor. Soccer is great too because I get to run around and be active with my friends. The downside is that it takes up a lot of my free time and some nights I have so much homework that I don't get to bed until really late. I can get pretty crabby when I'm over-tired. My parents keep telling me I need to decide which activity is more important so I can drop one, but I don't want to quit either one! Why can't school just be shorter so I have more free time?Well, those are some of the biggest things on my mind lately as a 3rd grader. As you can see, I may be just a kid but I've got a lot weighing on me sometimes! From family issues to bullying to responsibilities to being overscheduled - it can be a lot to deal with. Maybe now you understand kids a little better. We're going through a lot of growth and change, all while just trying to be kids! I'll do my best to stay positive and work through my problems. A little kindness, patience, and encouragement from parents and teachers goes a long way. Thanks for listening!篇3Sharing My Heart's ThoughtsHi there! My name is Emily and I'm 8 years old. I'm in the third grade at Oakwood Elementary School. Today, my teacher Mrs. Roberts asked us to write about what's on our minds and in our hearts. At first, I didn't know what to write because I have a lot of thoughts bouncing around in my head all the time! But I'll try my best to share some of the things I've been thinking about lately. One of the biggest things on my mind is my family. I really love my mom, dad, and little brother Timmy. We have so much fun together going to the park, playing board games, and watching movies. Sometimes though, my parents fight and yell at each other over things like money problems or chores. That makes me feel sad and scared. I don't like it when there's yelling in our house. I just want everyone to get along and be happy. My dream is for my mom and dad to stop arguing so we can all enjoy more happy family times.Another thing I think about a lot is my friends at school. I'm lucky to have a few really good friends like Sarah, Jayden, and Emma. We've been buddies since kindergarten. We love playing make-believe games at recess and trading stickers and scratch-n-sniff pencils. Sometimes though, other kids are mean to us or leave us out. Just last week, a boy named Kyle calledSarah "stinky" during lunch and it made her cry. That really upset me because Sarah is one of the nicest people I know. I hate seeing my friends get their feelings hurt by bullies. I wish everyone could be kind and not say hurtful things. Friendship is one of the most important things to me.School itself is another thing I think about a lot. Most of the time, I really like school and learning new things. Math is my favorite subject - I love working with numbers and solving problems. Reading fiction books and creative writing are also a lot of fun for me. But then there are subjects like science that I'm not as good at. Just last week we had a test on the human body systems and I got a bunch of questions wrong. I studied super hard but I still struggled. That made me feel dumb and upset with myself. Sometimes school work just seems too hard no matter how much I try. I worry about not being smart enough. I don't want to fail or disappoint my parents and teachers. I just want to be a good student.Well, those are some of the biggest thoughts I've had on my mind lately. As you can see, I think a lot about my family, my friends, and school - just like most third graders! Even though I'm still just a kid, I already have a lot of hopes, worries, and dreams running through my brain. I hope that as I get older, I can figureout how to make my family happier, keep my friendships strong, and become a really successful student. Those are some of my biggest goals in life right now. Thanks for listening to my heart's thoughts!。
