情态动词

1.表示推测情态动词在表示推测时的用法

一般情况正在进行的状况已经发生的事情过去一直在---

例句a. ---Hi, Tom .Any idea where Jane is?---She must be in the classroom. I saw

her there just now.你好，汤姆。你知道琼在哪儿吗？她肯定在教室。我刚刚在

那儿见到她的。

b. ---“Can he be at home?---No,he can`t.他会在家吗？不可能。

c. ---Li Ping must be reading in the classroom.---No,he can`t.I saw him in the

hall just now.李平肯定正在教室看书。不可能。我刚刚看见他在大厅。注意比较：She may/might /could be at home.她可能在家。

She may/might not be at home.她可能不在家。

She can`t be at home.她不可能在家。

She must be at home.她肯定在家。

Can she be at home?她可能在家吗？（注意以上几个句子的意思区别）

d,She said that someone must have heard us in the toilet.她说肯定有人在厕所听到我们说话了。

He might have done something wrong yesterday.他昨天可能做错事了。

From 7to8yesterday evening,he must have been waiting for you.昨天晚上7点到8点他肯定一直在等你。

注意：1)should有时也可表示推测意为“应该”

例句：---When will I come for the phones?I need them tomorrow afternoon.

----They should be ready by 12:00.我什么时候来取照片？我明天下午需要。12点以前应该没问题.

注意2）Children mustn`t play in the street.孩子们不能在街上玩。（mustn`t

不表示推测，表示不能，不允许）

Mother is sleeping.You mustn`t make any noise.妈妈在睡觉。你不能吵。

2.should (not)have done本该---/本不该---（有谴责之意）

ought(not) to have done本该---/本不该--- You are late again. You should/ought to have started earlier.你又迟到了。你本该

注意：needn`t have done本不需要--（无谴责之意）

You needn`t have so hurried.There is plenty of time left.你本不需要这么急忙。时间足够。

4.Shall I /we /he/she/they do--?(在疑问句中用于第一，三人称)表示征求对方意见Shall I open the door?要我开门吗？

Shall he stay for the night?让他留下过夜吗？

You/He/They shall do---.(用于二，三人称肯定句中，表示允诺，强制，命令，警告等。

If you insist on doing so ,you shall be punished.如果你坚持这么做，你就会受到惩

罚。（警告）

5.can,be able to表示过去某个时间经过努力能---，（只有一次）一般不用could

Last night ,they wre able to escape from the big fire.昨天晚上，他们从大火中逃出来

了。

6. Would/Could you do---?回答是应用can/will而不用would/could

---Would you like to go with me? ----Yes, I will.

情态动词must和haveto都存有“必须”的含义，它们的用法如下：（一）、must“必须”、“必须”的用法:1.must则表示“必须”、“必须”。比如：①wemustprotectourenvironment.(我们必须保护环境。）②everyonemustobeytherule.（人人必须严格遵守制度。）

2.must的否定形式mustnot表示“不应该”、“禁止”、“不准”。语气比较强烈。例如：

①youmustn’tspeaklikethat.(你不必须像是那样讲话。）②youmustn’tbelateforschool.（你不必须上学耽误。）3.在提问must的问句时，确实形式用must去提问，但驳斥形式用needn’t或don’thaveto去提问。而不必mustn’t去提问。比如：

①――mustibehomebefore8o’clock?(8点之前我必须回家吗？)――yes,youmust.no,youneedn’t./no,youdon’thaveto.（是，你必须。）（不，你不必。）

4.must还可以则表示推断，意思就是“一定”、“必定”，通常只用作肯定句中。分后三种情况：

1.）对于现在状态的推测，我们用：must+v.（状态动词或系动词），例如：①hemustbeathome.(他准在家里。）

②theremustbesomechildrenintheroom.（房间里科东俄有些孩子。）2.）对于现在动作的推断，我们用：must+be+doing（犯罪行为动词），比如：①theymustbecleaningtheirroom.(他们科东俄就是在清扫房间。）②hemustbewatchingtv.（他准是在玩游戏。）

1 情态动词

情态动词：表示说话人语气的单词。不能单独做谓语，只能和动词原形（有时候也说不加to的动词不定式）一起构成谓语。

1、情态动词没有人称和数的变化，情态动词后面跟的动词须用原形，否定式构成是在情态动词后面加 "not"。

eg: She can sing an English song.

We should do our homework right now.

I can’t speak English very well.

2、情态动词的用法

（1）Can的用法

①表示体力或脑力方面的“能力”

Can you drive?你会开车吗？

Can you speak English?你会说英语吗？

②表示客观条件允许

You can skate on the lake.(The ice is thick enough.)

你可以在湖面上滑冰了（冰层够厚的了）

The airplane can take off now.(The storm has stopped.)

飞机可以起飞了（暴风雨停了）

You can’t park your car here. 你不能在此停车

例1：

The work is too hard for him. He __________ finish it on time.

③can用在否定句和疑问句中时，有时表示说话人的怀疑，惊异、猜测或不肯定：

no, no, it can’t be true.不，不，这不可能是事实
