一、教学背景

初中阶段是人生成长的重要时期,而八年级是初中阶段学生心理发展的关键期与转折期,被美国心理学家霍林沃斯称之为“心理断乳期”。八年级学生叛逆、易受外界影响、情绪情感偏激、易感情行事,但同时他们具有可塑性强、敢于主动尝试勇于追求独立的特点,这对于英语学习大有裨益。他们对小说故事充满兴趣,尤其是英雄游记探险故事,在学习本课之前都已经通过语文课阅读过«格列佛游记»的中文版,是他们所熟悉且感兴趣的阅读文本,因此对于八年级学生来说阅读难度不大。
