《Sporting》高一英语教案设计一、教学目标通过本节课的学习,学生能够:•学习和掌握与体育运动相关的词汇和短语;•了解一些国际体育运动的规则和历史;•进一步提高听说读写能力,培养自我表达能力;•培养学生的体育兴趣,鼓励学生参与体育运动。
二、教学内容1. 词汇与短语Skiing, skating, surfing, cycling, swimming, running, jumping, diving, basketball, football, volleyball.2. 阅读与理解让学生阅读一篇介绍国际奥委会历史和奥运会的文章,并回答相关问题。
3. 视频学习让学生观看一些国际体育赛事的视频,包括滑雪、冰球、足球、排球等,培养学生的视听能力,并带来生动的学习体验。

Module 4 Unit 2 Sporting events 【No.35】2010-7-2【考点透视】1. sporting adj. = connected with or interested in sporta ~ event体育比赛项目 a ~ man 爱好体育的人sport 指各种运动或户外消遣(可以是娱乐性或锻炼性的,一般作[U];也可以是竞赛性的或某种运动项目,一般作[C])。
仅限于体力锻炼。
如:fishing/ boating/ swimming作定语时常用复数,如:sports meeting / shirt / shoes /facilities / stadiumgame 指有一定规则的、双方竞争的游戏或运动,可以是脑力的,也可以是体力的,通常凡参加者都必须遵守,如:basketball/chess等。
美国人常用game,英国人常用match。
match “比赛”,指大型的、公开的,既可是球类、田径也可是其他项目。
另外,games和sports均可作“运动会”解。
前者一般指大型的国际体育运动会。
如:the Olympic Games。
后者一般指规模相对较小的运动会。
如:sports meet;have sports(进行体育活动)。
race 专指(速度的)比赛,赛跑.等。
complete 较正式的用语。
有“使……由不完整变得完整起来”的含义,后接名词或代词,不接动名词或不定式。
2. finish 常作及物动词,后接名词、代词或动名词,不接不定式或名词性从句。
有“干完、吃完”的含义。
end 指“停止”、“结束”某一进程,使其不再进展或延续下去,不强调该进度是否圆满完成。
take part in “参加、参与”(指参加某项活动,如群众性活动、会议等,并在其中起积极作用,强调主人翁态度)。
可指“参加”(工作、活动、学习等)。
3. join 是指以平等地位“加入”到某一组织、团体或人群中,并成为其中一员。

目的状语从句可以由表示“为了,以便”的so that(有时省略so), in order that 和表示“以免,以防”的lest, for fear that, in case引导(lest, for fear that 后的目的状语从句一般要用“可以省略的should+动词原形”的虚拟语气形式; in case 后的目的状语从句多用虚拟语气,但也可用陈述语气)。
例如:1.They set out early that they might arrive in time. 他们早点动身,以便及时到达。
2.She takes notes carefully in class so that she may use them when she reviews her lessons after class. 她在课堂上认真记笔记,以便她能在课后很好地复习功课。
3.He shouted at the top of his voice in order that he might be heard. 他尽力大声叫喊,以便别人能听见。
4.I will not make a noise lest I (should) disturb you. 我不出声,以免打搅你。
5. He is working hard for fear that he (should) fail. 他认真学习,以免考不及格6.Take your umbrella in case it rains. 带上雨伞,以防下雨。
如果表示“为了,以便”的目的状语从句的主语与主句的主语相同,可用in order to 或 so as to取代该目的状语从句,注意体会以下例句:1. He hurried through his work in order to catch the train. 他匆匆干完手中的活,为的是能赶上火车。

1.目的状语短语和目的状语从句目的状语可以由in order (not) to、so as (not) to等不定式短语构成。
例:1.The teacher explained the rules several times in order to/so as to make the students fully understand.老师反复解释了这些规则,就是为了让学生们充分地理解。
2.Before he turned in his composition.he checked it again so as to make as few mistakes as possible.把作文交上去之前他又检查了一遍,目的是尽量减少错误。
目的状语从句可以由so that、in order that等连接短语引导,且从句中的谓语部分一般含有情态动词can/could.may/might、will/would.shall/should等。
例:The secretary adjusted the manager’s agenda in order that he could attend the economic forum.秘书调整了经理的日程安排,使他能够出席这次经济论坛。
【注意】目的状语短语和从句可以置于句首。
例:In order to save paper, the secretary printed on both sides of the paper.为了节约纸张,秘书在纸的正反面都打印。
In order that he might hear more clearly, he seated himself in the first row.为了听得更清楚些,他坐在了第一排。

I Revise last class by ask them some questions;
Step 2 Lead-in
T: Everyone has his own favorite sports ,yes? And I want to ask you: do you know how to write a personal essay to describe your favorite sport? And what a format to write a personal essay.
For example: a)We can send our bestwishes to our friends by email ;
b) Email can bridge the distance between people.
Step 4 Reading
I. Scanning
Read the text quickly and try to find the answer to these questions:
1. What is the author’s favorite sport?(American football )
2. Why does he like it? (he thinks the American football players are great and the game is very interesting.)
3. What are his hopes for the future? (He hopes he will have the chance to see a real American football in person.)
Ⅱ.Careful-reading
Ask the students to read the passage again and find out Main idea of the three passages:
The first paragraph:

The second paragraph:
Details about his favorite sport.
The third paragraph:
Feelings about his favorite sport.
The fourth paragraph:
His future hopes for his favorite sport.
Ⅲ. Deal with language points:
