Tenzing left his home when he was ten to work and help his mother，who was looking after their 2-acre ancestral farm after his father’s death. He did temporary jobs for the first few years and then joined a Malaysian construction firm, where he learnt to drive, repair machines, work on the Internet and even speak English fluently.
“In those 13 years, I learnt everything—driving, mechanic work, and how to set up a small factory. This made me gain much confidence to do almost all jobs,” says Tenzing.
However, as his mother was getting older, on December 12, 2006, Tenzing returned to his hometown in Assam. Having visited several farms, he came to know that tea could be easily exported and many tea companies were buying tea; so he also decided to grow tea on his farm. But as his family had never grown tea, he had no idea how to do it.
Being new in this field, Tenzing went to meet with many tea experts and followed their instructions. But whenever he sprayed pesticide(农药)on his farm, he’d get a headache and feel indisposed. So he started looking for alternatives. Tenzing did his research online and finally in 2007, he connected with people from a Canadian non-governmental organization and invited them to his farm, where they trained him. Thus, Tenzing started growing tea organically.
Today Tenzing has 25 acres of land, in which 7.5 acres is used for tea planting, and he grows almost all types of fruits and vegetables. His success inspired many, and farmers from other parts of the country also started coming to his farm to learn organic farming. He has trained about 30,000 farmers so far. Every year almost 100 tourists visit his farm from various parts of the world like the UK, Australia, Germany, etc.

Like to watch TV or play with your phone while you eat your dinner? Watch out—it could make you pile on the pounds. Not paying attention to our food makes us tend to more snacking later.
Over a series of experiments were carried out by researchers. For the first experiment,39 normal-weight young women were randomly assigned to one of three experimental conditions: a high-distraction group, a low-distraction group, and a no-distraction group. Each person was given the same 400-calorie lunch consisting of several food items presented in a fixed order, and instructed to eat all of the items.
In the high-distraction group, the women were told to play a computer game while eating, and that they would win money if they did well. In the low-distraction group they were just told to play the game while eating; and in the third group they were just told to eat their lunch. Later in the afternoon, each participant had access to a variety of biscuits on a plate, and the amount each person ate was assessed by weighing the plate before and afterwards.
There was a significant difference between the groups. Those in the high-distraction condition ate 69 per cent more snacks than the no-distraction group, and those in the low-distraction group eating 28 per cent more (than those in the no-distraction group) .
A second experiment, involving a further 63 people, was similar, but involved watching TV (in the distraction condition) and eating soup and bread. This found that those who watched TV while eating their lunch ate 19 per cent more biscuits later on than those who had eaten their meal without any distractions(分心).
A third experiment was also carried out, in which 45 normal-weight people were allocated to three groups. The first listened to an audio clip(剪辑) instructing them to imagine they were watching themselves eat—making them extremely focused on their own food intake. The second listened to a clip instructing them to imagine they were watching a celebrity—specifically David Beckham—eat (making them still focused on the food, but to a lesser degree);the third, which was the control group, just ate their lunch in silence. When all participants were given access to biscuits later, those in the self-imagining group-i.e. those who had really paid attention to what they were eating—ate far fewer than the other groups.

A few years ago, when I began writing about education, school leaders didn't worry much about teachers. They believed a long line of new teachers waited. Not any longer, as districts struggle to fill math, science, world language and special education jobs.
A 2017 Learning Policy Institute study found 90 percent of open teaching posts are the result of people leaving the profession. While retirements play a role, the report noted two-thirds of teachers leave for other reasons, most saying dissatisfactions with the job.
How can districts support teachers and persuade new ones to enter the field?
Education professor Peter Smagorinsky said, "The best way I know of to support teachers is to listen to them.
