Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao has arrived (in) Sweden, the third stop of his four-nation tour in Europe. He (flew in降落,乘飞机旅行) from Germany after attending the China-Germany Business Summit(a 最高级的,政府首脑级 n最高级会议).

The Chinese Premier is shoring up ties with Europe. (Upon arrival一到,在到达时) in Sweden, Wen Jiabao said he came to promote ties to benefit the two countries and their peoples, and make positive contributions to ties with Europe, world peace and (sustainable可以忍受的,支撑的 development可持续发展).

Wen visited a replica(复制品 ) of the "Gothenburg". He noted the arrival of the original ship in China nearly 300 years ago marked(V) the beginning of Sino-Swedish friendship. The premier later met Lars Backstrom, governor(统治者) of Sweden’s Vastra Gotaland province.

Wen Jiabao expressed confidence in (capitalizing on利用) the great potential(n潜在,可能性 a潜在的,可能的) for cooperation in economy and trade. Sweden is the (third leg of) Wen’s trip, which began in Iceland. His next and last stop will be Poland.

On Monday in Hannover, the Premier attended the China-Germany Business Summit with Chancellor(总理 大臣 大法官) Angela Merkel(德国总理). This year, the two countries are marking 40 years of diplomatic(外交的) ties.

Wen (called for提倡 要求 ) more (concerted协调的 协定的 商议定的 efforts)齐心协力 to enhance(提高,加强,增加) pragmatic(实际的,实用主义的 国事的) cooperation. He proposed(建议,打算 求婚) doubling (bilateral trade双边贸易) to 280 billion US dollars by 2015.

The two leaders attended the opening of the Chinese section at the 2012 Hannover Messe(博览会 展览馆). They toured(演出) China’s

and Germany’s exhibition booths(展台 电话亭).

They also visited the Volkswagen(大众汽车) headquarters (总部 指挥部)in Wolfsburg(沃尔夫斯堡). A deal was signed for a new Volkswagen plant(工厂) in Northwest China’s Xinjiang (Uygur维吾尔族 Autonomous自治的 Region区域 范围)维吾尔族自治区.

STOCKHOLM(斯德哥尔摩 瑞典首都), April 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao Wednesday(周二) (delivered a speech) at the Stockholm+40 Conference here, elaborating(a 精心制作的 v 详细说明) China's policies on sustainable development.

The event is an international environmental conference on sustainable development (ahead of 在~之前) the Rio(里约)+20 meeting to be held in Brazil(巴西) in June(六月).

This year's Beijing auto show is seeing lots of unveilings(n 揭幕式 v 揭示 除去面纱) from domestic(a 国内的 家庭的 n 国货) and international brands alike(相同的). But, although it is now the world's largest car market, China's own auto brands have a steep(a 陡峭的 不合理的 n 峭壁 浸渍) road ahead if they want to (compete with 与~竞争) the more established(确定的 已建立的) players.

Huang Xiangdong, Vice President of Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., said, "I think the key fact is that (Chinese) native auto makers have to enhance their core competences, mainly on new products development and in technology research R&D(研究和开发)."

Chinese car makers also understand that (gaining a foothold站稳脚跟 取得立足点) requires bringing together both high quality and value in their vehicles(车辆 交通工具).

Stella Li, Senior Vice President of BYD Company Ltd., said, "When you have a good quality, really good technology, and good price, very competitive price. Then it is kind of (non-refusal 无法拒绝的)

proposal for customers. It is the only way to survive."

They're certainly working hard to achieve those goals. New designs like Guangzhou auto group's new SUV Trump chi and (alternative energy替代能源 新能源) models, such as BYD's Chin are making sure of that.

It’s that time of year again where excitement (grows in 增长 在方面的增长 ) the Chinese capital(首都 省会 资金) for the year’s upcoming summer blockbusters(大片), on top of(另外 在~之上) the numerous screenings( 放映 筛选) that are (rolling out 延伸 涨开) with the second annual(n 年刊 年鉴 a 年度的) Beijing International Film Festival(节日 庆祝 纪念活动 (a n)).

But on Monday, one of the most talked about events was the Asian Premiere of "The Avengers." Jeremy Renner, one of the leads in the film, showed up at the premiere at a theatre in Beijing’s Central Business District to overwhelming(压倒性的 势不可挡的 v 压倒 淹没 ) cheers from fans. CCTV reporter Li Xiang caught up(抓起 抓住) with the veteran actor, who took a break from his super hero persona(人物角色), to show his more human side.

All eyes are on the elaborately designed makeshift door on stage, as the two-time Oscar nominee appears from behind.

It’s the first time Jeremy Renner, who plays Hawkeye in the Avengers, has ever visited China. His super hero character is the greatest living marksman on Earth armed with a recurved bow. In Marvel’s latest instalment, Hawkeye joins iconic super heroes Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Captain America and Black Widow at the call of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s director Nick Fury to save the world.

But on Monday, one of the most talked about events was the Asian Première of "The Avengers." Jeremy Renner, one of the leads in the film, showed up at the première at a theatre in Beijing’s Central Business District to overwhelming cheers from fans.

The film unites a team of big Hollywood names including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson. Renner says it’s a dream cast for several different reasons.

Renner said, "It’s pretty rare when you got a group of actors like this..."

When asked what kind of roles and characters he likes to portray in film, he was quite candid and honest.

He said, "I don’t think I’ll be doing a romantic comedy any time soon, but I just want to be challenged..."

The press release reached its pinnacle when a special gift was presented to Renner--- a scroll of a Chinese ink-wash painting portraying a flying hawk. The actor was invited to dot the hawk’s eye, a playful twist on the name of Renner’s role, Hawkeye.

Jeremy Renner was nominated twice at the Oscars for his role in "The Hurt Locker" and "The Town."
