a. 只能是人做出的动作有:believe,doubt,intend,require,respect,regard,be impressed by,notice,present

? Plenty of other species are able to learn, and one of the things they’ve apparently learned iswhen to 8.

? 8. A. fight B. doubt C. stop D. think

? In a significant 32 of legal controls over the press, Lord Irvine, the Lord Chancellor, will introduce a draft bill that will proposemaking payments to witnesses illegal and will strictly control the amount of publicity that can be given to a case before a trial begins.

? 32. A. tightening B. intensifying C.

focusing D. fastening

?选A。

? a. 宾语只能是人的动词:assure/impress + sb.,side with(支持),share with(分享;分担),

confide to(向……

? Credit the invention to him.

? Concerns were raised 49 witnesses might be encouraged to exaggerate their stories in court to 50 guilty verdicts.

? 50. A. assure B. confide C. ensure D.guarantee

ensure doing...

? For example, changes in the economy that 30 to fewer job opportunities for youth and rising unemployment in general make gainful

employment increasingly difficult to obtain.

? 30. A. point B. lead C. come D. amount

?三项均不能表达此种关系:A项point (to)“指向”; C项come (to)“达到”;D项amount (to)“总计”。

? dispose ? vi.

? speculate vi. 沉思,思索;推测 (about, on, upon)

?投机 (in): speculate in stocks(做股票投机)

? distinguish

? vt. distinguish A from B

? vi. distinguish between A and B

4? approve

? vt. 批准,通过;赞许: congress approved the budget; approve sb.

? vi. 同意,认可 (of): didn’t approve of the decision

? cope + with

? (妥善地) 处理;对付,应付;克服 (with):cope with unexpected catastrophes

? (机会均等地) 竞争,抗衡 (with):No one can cope with him in English.

? He must use this surplus in three ways: as seed for sowing, as an insurance against the unpredictable effects of bad weather and as a commodity which he must sell in order to 44 old agricultural implements and obtain chemical fertilizers to feed the soil.

? 44. A. replace B. purchase C. supplement D. dispose

? ______ require? A. sb. B. sth.

? approach to(方法,途径),answer to,key to

? confidence in/confident of(在……自信): I have confidence in English.=I am confident of English.

5? specialist in(在……

research into/on,reason for,explanation for

? need the _______ that comes from success

A. confidence

B. tolerance

? _______ of the letter

? The Lord Chancellor said introduction of the Human Rights Bill, which makes the European Convention on Human Rights legally 44 in Britain, laid down that everybody was entitled to privacy and that public figures could go to court to protect themselves and their families.

? 44.A. binding B. convincing C.restraining D. sustaining

?选A。

? Boston Globe reporter Chris Reidy notes that the situation will improve only when there are 17 programs that address the many needs of the homeless.

? 17. A. complex B. comprehensive https://www.doczj.com/doc/3a7593853.html,plementary D. compensating

?… and it is _____ changing the relations hip between people and their jobs.7

? 1. 首段首句没有读懂就不要做下去;

? 2. 能够用顺序的方法做对的题目,尽量不要用逆序带入的方法;

?答:看选项如果出现:that,which,what,who,whom,than,as,表明考的是从句。

? Companies with low accident rates plan their safety programs, work hard to organize them, and continue working to keep them 42 and active.

? 42. A. alive B. vivid C. mobile D.diverse

?答案:A. alive

9 ? As time went by, computers became smaller and more powerful, and they became “personal”too,as well as 33.

? 33. A. institutional B. universal C.fundamental D. instrumental

?答案:A. institutional

?

smaller? computers became powerful

?personal

? 33

? But they insisted that its (指工业革命) 43results during the period from 1750 to 1850 were widespread poverty and misery for the 44 of the English population. 45 contrast, they saw in the

? preceding hundred years from 1650 to 1750,when England was still a 46 agricultural country, a period of great abundance and prosperity.

? 43. A. momentary B. prompt ? C. instant D. immediate

? 46. A. broadly B. thoroughly ? C. generally D. completely

? 43. 答案:D. immediate

10

? 46. 答案:D. completely

The human nose is an underrated tool.Humans are often thought to be insensitive smellers compared with animals,1 this is largely because,2 animals,we stand upright. This means that our noses are 3 to perceiving those smells which float through the air,4 the majority of smells which stick to surfaces. In fact5,we are extremely sensitive to smells,6 we do not generally realize it.Our noses are capable of 7 human smells even when these are 8 to far below one part in one million. Strangely, some people find that they can smell one type of flower but not another,9 others are sensitive to the smells of both flowers. This may be because some people do not have the genes necessary to generate 10 smell receptors in the nose. These receptors are the cells which sense smells and send 11 to the brain. However,it has been found that even people insensitive to a certain smell 12 can suddenly become sensitive to it when 13 to it often enough. The explanation for insensitivity to smell seems to be that brain finds it 14 to keep all smell receptors working all the time but can 15 new receptors if necessary. This may 16 explain why we are not usually sensitive to our own smells we simply do not need to be.We are not 17 of the usual smell of our own house but we 18 new smells when we visit someone else's.The brain finds it best to keep smell receptors 19 for unfamiliar and emergency signals 20 the smell of smoke, which might indicate the danger of fire. 1.[A]although [B]as [C]but [D]while 2.[A]above [B]unlike [C]excluding [D]besides 3.[A]limited [B]committed [C]dedicated [D]confined 4.[A]catching [B]ignoring [C]missing [D]tracking 5.[A]anyway [B]though [C]instead [D]therefore 6.[A]even if [B]if only [C]only if [D]as if 7.[A]distinguishing [B]discovering [C]determining [D]detecting 8.[A]diluted [B]dissolved [C]determining [D]diffused 9.[A]when [B]since [C]for [D]whereas 10.[A]unusual [B]particular [C]unique [D]typical 11.[A]signs [B]stimuli [C]messages [D]impulses 12.[A]at first [B]at all [C]at large [D]at times 13.[A]subjected [B]left [C]drawn [D]exposed 14.[A]ineffective [B]incompetent [C]inefficient [D]insufficient 15.[A]introduce [B]summon [C]trigger [D]create 16.[A]still [B]also [C]otherwise [D]nevertheless 17.[A]sure [B]sick [C]aware [D]tired 18.[A]tolerate [B]repel [C]neglect [D]notice 19.[A]available [B]reliable [C]identifiable [D]suitable 20.[A]similar to [B]such as [C]along with [D]aside from

Would a Work-Free World Be So Bad? Fears of civilization-wide idleness are based too much on the downsides of being unemployed in a society premised on the concept of employment. A 1567 painting by Pieter Bruegel the Elder depicts a mythical land of plenty, where people grow idle in the absence of work. Wikimedia Ilana E. Strauss Jun 28, 2016 People have speculated for centuries about a future without work, and today is no different, with academics, writers, and activists once again warning that technology is replacing human workers. Some imagine that the coming work-free world will be defined by inequality: A few wealthy people will own all the capital, and the masses will struggle in an impoverished wasteland. A different, less paranoid, and not mutually exclusive prediction holds that the future will be a wasteland of a different sort, one characterized by purposelessness: Without jobs to give their lives meaning, people will simply become lazy

考研完形填空的解题技巧及规律: 1、利用“红花绿叶“原则: 红花词(必选的词):however、although、yet、because 绿叶词(必不选的词): since、ever since、now that、what; in case、lest、if only、or else(虚拟语气系列词); about、as to、with regard to、with/in reference to(与“关于”意义有关的词) 2、答案分布的规律: ⑴、每篇完形填空中A、B、C、D作为正确选项的个数各在4—6个之间; ⑵、A作为正确选项的个数最多; ⑶、没有连续三个答案都一样的情况,连续两个答案都一样的情况为0—3个; ⑷、在五个一组的答案中,最少要出现三个字母作为正确的选项,在每组接缝处没有连续两个答案都一样的情况; 3、完形填空文章特点: ⑴、文章字数:240—280之间; ⑵、首段首句不出题,是主旨句(2001年除外),除首句外基本每句话都要出题; ⑶、总分结构进行到底; ⑷、每篇文章都有明确的主题和作者态度; ⑸、逻辑关系非常明确: 五大逻辑关系:(按照考核频度排序) ①?对立关系(包括:转折、让步及其他); ②?因果关系;③?并列关系;④?总分关系⑤?递进关系。 给大家分享点个人的秘密经验,让大家考得更轻松。在这里我想跟大家说的是自己在整个考研过程中的经验以及自己能够成功的考上的捷径。首先就是自己的阅读速度比别人的快,考试过程中的优势自然不必说,平时的学习效率才是关键,其实很多人不是真的不会做,90%的人都是时间不够用,要是给足够的时间,估计很多人能够做出大部分的题。研究生考试关键就是你的专业技能和常识积累。很多人的失败是输在时间上的,我做事情特别注重效率。第一,复习过程中绝对的高效率,各种资料习题都要涉及多遍;第二,答题高效率,包括读题速度和答题速度都高效。我复习过程中,阅读和背诵的能力非常强,读一份一万字的资料,一般人可能要二十分钟,我只需要两分钟左右,读的次数多,记住自然快很多。包括做题也一样,读题和读材料的速度也很快,一般一份试卷,读题的时间一般人可能要花掉二十几分钟,我统计过,我最多不超过3分钟,这样就比别人多出20几分钟,这在考试中是非常不得了的。论坛有个帖子专门介绍速读的,叫做“速读记忆让我的考研复习奔跑起来”,我就是看了这个才接触了速读,也因为速读,才获得了很好的成绩。那些密密麻麻的资料,看见都让人晕倒。学了速读之后,感觉有再多的书都不怕了。而且,速读对思维和材料组织的能力都大有提高,个人总结,拥有这个技能,基本上成功一半,剩下的就是靠自己学多少的问题了。平时要多训练自己一眼看多个字的习惯,慢慢的加快速度,尽可能的培养自己这样的习惯。当然,有经济条件的同学,千万不要吝啬,花点小钱在自己的未来上是最值得的,你已经耗费了那么多的时间和精力,现在既然势在必得,就不要在乎这一刻。想成功的同学到这里用这个软件训练速读,大概30个小时就能练出比较厉害的快速阅读的能力,这是给我帮助非常大的学习技巧,。其次,从选择的复习资料上来说,我用的是学习软件,不是一般的真题,我认为从电脑上面做题真的是把学习的效率提高了很多,再者这款软件集成最新题库、大纲资料、模拟、分析、动态等等各种超强的功能,性价比超高,是绝不可缺的一款必备工具,结合上速读的能力,如虎添翼,让整个备考过程效率倍增。 4、同义原则: ⑴、在四个选项中,有两个实词(动、名、形、副)互为同义词时,答案往往在其中;

比如说however、although、yet、because等属于红花词。Since、nowthat、what、if only、in case等都属于绿叶词。

[A] what 【解析】此题考查疑问代词辨析:题干中过去分词短语published from the University of California and Yale University… That is 1 a study has 2 . That is what a study has 2 来解题。 The study is a genome-wide analysis conducted 3 1932 unique subjects的要求,所选择的介词能用在conduct“实施;进行”之后,又得和subject 搭配,所以这个题目应该选择on,构成on some subjects“关于某类主题”。 4. The study 4 pairs of unrelated friends and unrelated strangers… The same people were used in both 5 . While 1% may seem 6 , it is not so to a geneticist句首的While引导让步状语从句,同时提示我们逗号后和逗号前的内容形成一定程度上的对立关系,而且作者的表达重点位于逗号之后,1%的数量对于基因研究者来说影响程度很大。 Most people do not even 7 their fourth cousins but somehow manage to select as friends the people who 8 our kin中说“大多数人甚至不他们的第四代表亲,但是尽量选择和亲属人作为朋友”。 8. [D] resemble
