in order to do …意思为“为了……”，表示一种明确的目的。

e.g. In order to catch the early bus, I got up at 5:30 in the morning. 为了赶早班车，我早上五点半就起床了。

in order to还可以放在句中，如上句还可以说成：I got up at 5:30 in the morning in order to catch the e arly bus.2. As a result, Mr Jiang no longer needed to get up early to do the housework.结果是江先生不再需要起早做家务了。

as a result意思是“结果是……”，表示事情的结果，一般放在句首。

e.g. My brother doesn’t work hard at school. As a result, he often fails inhis exams. 我弟弟在学校不用功，结果是他经常考试不及格。

Rule out: In order to 可用于句首或句中，当In order to 用于句首时， 我们用逗号隔开。
