Born in a photo studio, Truman, as a protagonist in the film, is spied on all the time by thousands of needle camera tubes. Everyone in his life, including his parents, wife and friends, is a performer. Even the events happened are arranged by design. But true will come to light soon or later. After finding this hoax, he succeeded in obtaining the freedom, despite setbacks.Two words constantly swirled in my mind after appreciating, privacy and morality. Privacy, the fundamental right, however, disappears entirely. The director, as well as other performers, deprives Truman’s right of freedom. He was alone in the face of persuasion from all his friends and relatives, but he still stick to his concepts and tried his best to fight against the world, so that he could get out of this cozy fake environment and find the real world even if it would bring him harm.In all, "The Truman Show" is a sunny-looking movie about the darkest paranoia that not only are you under surveillance at all times (and talked about, and judged), but that the sham of your life means there is no reality behind the pretense. The movie is also unusually thought-provoking. On that slippery slope of ratings, to what lengths will television go? Creating a star or killing one off may only be the start.。
