1Introduction
Withtheaudioreproductionchainbecomingmoreandmoredigital,theloudspeakerhasbecome
theweakestlinkbetweenrecordingandreproduction.Amethodtoimprovethetransferbehavior
ofelectro-acousticaltransducersisbymeansofmagneticormechanicaldesignchanges.Disad-
vantageofthiskindofchangesisamorecomplexproductionandthusanincreasingprizeofthe
transducer.Inthispaperweimprovethebehavioroftheloudspeakerbymeansofanalgorithmon
aDigitalSignalProcessor(DSP).Withthedecreasingprizesofprocessinghardwarethismaybea
realisticsolutiontothementioneddesignproblem.Thecompensatorsarerealizedasfeedforward
controllers.Thereforeanadditionalsensorlikeamicrophoneoranaccelerometerissuperfluous.
Suchsensorsmakethesystemmoreexpensive,andtheirqualitydeterminestheeffectivenessof
thecontroller.
Inthispapertwotypesofloudspeakersareconsidered,anelectrodynamicloudspeakerforlow
