析 本课的教学内容是人教版八年级下册第 4单兀 Why don tyou talk to your parents Section A (3a-3c)
的阅读材料,需要一个课时完成。本单兀的中心话题是人际交往,语言功能是谈论人际交往和学 习问题,并给出建议。Section A的重点是学习人际交往和学习问题的表达方式以及给建议的相关 句型,学会谈论自己和他人的问题,并能针对问题给出简单的建议。 Section A 1a-2d部分以听说
训练为主,3a-3c则是一个完整的阅读模块,由听说过渡到阅读和笔头。 Section A (3a-3c)由二
个活动组成:(1)阅读语篇,找出问题和建议,完成表格;( 2)根据Mr. Hunt提出的建议,学
生思考是否认冋 Mr. Hunt的建议并给出理由;(3)理解文章生词,从文章中找出与相关词汇冋 义的生词或者词组。课文以书信的形式出现,是一个学生以笔名给学校心理咨询师写信讲述自己 的家庭问题和感受,并得到了咨询师的回信和建议。人际交往是中学生常见问题,贴近学生生活 和实际,具有可读性,容易引起学生的共鸣。

2. Processes and methods:
(1) Students are expected to find out Sad and Thirteen's problems and feelings as well as their
classmates' problems and feeli ngs by using differe nt reading skills like skim ming and sca nning.
(2) Students are able to learn more new target Ianguage about how to write about problems and give
advice by summarizing the letters from Sad and Thirteen and Mr. Hunt so that they can revise their letters
and reply to their classmates to give advice.
(3) Students can work in pair or group to discuss the question and share their ideas so that they can
get help from others to finish differe nt activities and tasks.
3. Emoti on, attitudes and value:
(1) Students are able to realize that sharing their problems is a good way to solve problems and have
the courage to share their own problems.
(2) Students are willing to help others get out of problems and know how to give advice and comfort 2

析 (1)知识基础
在学习本课时之前,学生在前两课时已经学习了人际交往和学习问题的相关表达方式以及给建议
的相关句型,有一定的知识基础,并且本课时通过两封信呈现一个学生的家庭问题以及 Mr Hu nt
对该学生的问题提出针对性的建议, 内容与学生生活息息相关,贴近学生实际,所以尽管文章含
有个别生词,但学生在生活中有类似的经历和体会, 这些生词对学生的阅读理解不会造成太大障
碍。但这些新表达是对本单元所学话题内容的一个延伸, 学生可以通过本课时的学习补充本单元
话题的相关表达。
⑵心理技能 八年级学生八年级学生处于叛逆期,不愿意通过与家人或者老师沟通的方式来倾诉自己的问题。
本课正好以一个学生通过书信的方式来倾诉自己的问题从而获得心理咨询师的建议, 重在启发学
生要懂得疏通自己的烦恼,可通过书信等渠道来获得帮助。
⑶学习需要
学生通过之前的学习已经能简单描述自己的问题并根据别人的问题提出简单的建议。 但之前的学
习以听说为主,而本课时以书面的形式将本单兀所学话题内容更系统综合地整合在一起, 学习如
何以书面形式表达自己的烦恼, 如何阅读他人的信件分析对方的问题从而回信给予具体合理的建
议和安慰对方成为了学生的学习需要。
教学设计过程
Stage 1. Share problems (3mi ns) 3
Stude nts are asked to write a letter about their own problems in relati on ship or study. It' time to check stude nts'
homework and ask them to share their homework.
(上节课学生已经学习了人际关系和学习问题的相关表达以及简单给出建议的内容,所以家庭作业是 学生可以用笔名在信纸上简单写下自己的学习或者人际关系问题和感受。通过课前检查学生的作业, 既可以复习上节课所学内容和检查上节课对所学知识的掌握情况,发现学生问题,为下文阅读 Sad and
Thirteen的信件学习如何写信倾述自己的烦恼做准备。 )
Stage 2. Readi ng (26mi ns)
Step1. Skimming ( 2mins)
T: Different people have differe nt problems. And it 'importa nt for us to solve our problems. Here is a stude nt n
amed Sad and Thirtee n. He also has a problem. Now let 'see what happe ned to him and how he solves his
problems.
Ask stude nts to read these two passages very quickly and think about the follow ing questi ons one by one:
What kind of passage are they?
What is the first letter about? Who wrote it?
What is the seco nd letter about? Who wrote it?
When stude nts an swer these there questi ons, they should also tell us how he knows it.
