With the rapid development of livestock and poultry indus— try in China.Iivestock and poultry has become one of the main sources of agricultural non—point source pollution and point source pollution,which poses a serious threat to series of ecological environment such as water.solI and air”-3j.Re— search has shown that the transportation distance of wastes frOm livestock and poultry is Iimited.and most of them are ap— plied locally in the near farms:If the amount of locaI regional application of livestock waste exceeds the consumptive capac— itV of farmland,it wilI result in water and soil pollution,causing serious environmental problems J. Database design Database structure The data in the system are unifOrmIv stored in Iarge relational database of Oracle9i.which are uni— formly managed by Oracle9i.On the server side.ArcSDE9.O spatial data are used for engine,object-oriented approach is used to manage space,and Hibenate is used to manage at- tribute data,thus achieving the high-integration of data in B/S mode(Fig.1 . Database contents Data reIated in system can be divided jnto spatiaI data and attribute data.Database includes three categories of basic geographic data,special topic data of farmland environmental pollution caused by livestock waste and other auxiliary data. (1)Basic geographic data.The data include administra— tive map of study area,high resolution remote sensing ima— ges,aerial imagery map and river map,etc.,reflecting the basic geographic infOrmation of administrative divisions of the study area,topography and traffic conditions,etc.They are mainly used for background display of system,reference of relative geographic location,and region display of farmland environmentaI pollution caused by Iivestock waste and early warning. (2)Special topic data offarmland environmental pollution
