WITH DUPLEX STAINLESS STEEL 双相不锈钢复合板采购技术要求 Duplex S.S-DOC1 SPECIFICATION FOR MATERIAL SUPPLY OF DUPLEX STAINLESS STEEL PLATE, SHEET AND STRIP Scope This additional requirement applies to 2205 type Duplex Stainless Steel plate, sheet and strip. All plates, sheets and strips shall be supplied to appropriate ASTM specifications.with the following additional requirement.

Sources of material supply The following are sources of material supply:

(a) SAF2205 alloy from Sandvik AB Steel or Avesta AB Steel,Sweden. (b) Uranus UR 45N+ alloy from Creusot-Loire,France. (c) Duplex stainless steel specifications UNS S32205 or WerkstoffNr1.4462 to this specification

Additions to ASTM A240M and A480M 1. The chemical compositions shall be as follows:

Carbon, max Chromium Nickel Molybdenum 0.030% 21.5% - 23% 4.5% - 6.5% 2.90% - 3.5% Nitrogen Sulfur, max Phosphorus, max Silicon, max 0.145%-0.2% 0.020% 0.030% 1.00% Manganese, max Tungsten, max Copper, max 2.00% 0.5% 0.5%

The steels shall have a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number(PREN) as calculated using the formula, PREN = Cr wt% + 3.3Mo wt% + 16N wt% , of not less than 34.

2. Mechanical testing: Tensile requirements: Ultimate Tensile strength, min 620 MPa 0.2% Offset Yield strength, min 450 MPa Elongation 2”, min 25% Brinell Hardness, max 290BHN(30.5RC)

In addition it shall meet the following additional mechanical requirements: 0.2% proof Strength: 800MPa maximum; Tensile Strength : 980MPa maximum; % Elongation : 25% minimum Duplex S.S-DOC1 Impact tests on a batch basis shall be performed at –40˚C with a minimum Charpy V value of 54J. The impact tests shall be carried out on test pieces removed from the plate.

3. Microstructural Examination and Ferrite Level Determination Microsection examination shall be carried out on all duplex material. Acceptance can be on a batch basis. The section shall show a balance structure with no deleterious second phases or grain boundary precipitates present.

The ferrite content shall be in the range 40%-60%.Measurement shall be carried out using the point count method to ASTM E562 specification.

4. Mill Penetrant Testing Dye penetrant testing of the surfaces of plate material for vessel shell or head fabrication shall be carried out at the mill using a technique approved by the Design Authority to ensure the absence of surface slivers. The extent of testing shall be no less than 10% of each batch. In specific instances, testing of 20% of each batch on one side of the plates plus visual inspection of the obverse side may be acceptable subject to the prior agreement of the Design Authority.

5. Condition All materials shall be supplied in the quench annealed and descaled condition.

Certification For each lot or heat, a certified report covey chemical analysis, mechanical properties, materials condition, and results of tests specified in the ASTM reference specification and in this sheet shall be provided. Duplex S.S-DOC2 SPECIFICATION FOR 2205 AND 2507 SEAMLESS AND SEAM WELDED DUPLEX STAINLESS STEEL TUBING AND PIPE Scope This additional requirement applies to the supply of 2205 or 2507 seamless and seam welded Duplex stainless steel in tubing form and in pipe form in the followings sizes:

Seamless Tube: 6.35 - 168.28mm OD and 0.89 - 4.19mm wall thickness Seam welded Tube: 19.05 – 101.6 mm OD and 1.24 – 2.11 mm wall thickness 25.4 – 101.6 mm OD and 2.77 mm wall thickness Seamless Pipe ½” - 6” NPS schedule 10S, 40S and 80S

Seam welded Pipe ½” - 30” NPS schedule 5S and 10S ½” - 12” NPS schedule 40S 4” - 12” NPS schedule 80S

Pipe and tube shall conform generally to ASTM A789, A790 or A928 Class 1 unless otherwise stated in this Specification..

Sources of material supply The following are sources of material supply: SAF2205 alloy from Sandvik AB Steel,Sweden. U-tubes for heat exchangers shall be purchased in the formed and heated condition from Sandvik Steel AB.
