A book report on Arabian NightsThe Arabian Night also called A Thought Night and Night. It selected fairy tales of the East. The people of Asia, Arabia, and Persia told them in their own way, not for children, but for grown-up people. In this book the stories are shortened here and there, and omissions are made of pieces only suitable for Arabs and old gentlemen .So it is very popular all over the world.At the beginning ,it tell us a story of Scheherazade, a Sassafras Queen, who must relate a series of stories to her malevolent husband, the king, to delay her execution .The stories are told over a period of one thousand and one night ,and every night she ends the story with a suspenseful situation , forcing the King to keep her alive for another day .This passage tell us a story of the porter and the three ladies of Baghdad .The other day, a beauty lady went to the street to buy something .Then, she let the porter followed her, and they bought many goods .After arriving at home ,the porter was attracted by the place and hope he can leaves. Then , they had a very good time .After meal, they were disturbed by the knocked. Three Persian Kalandars came in and they were permitted to attend the party. Soon, the King and his accompany were attracted by the music ,they also join in it. But, in the end, the host did some strange things, all the customer were shocked and begin to discuss what happened. Because of the disagree, they quarreled. Finally the porter asked the reason. Heard that, the host very angry and want to punished them.Then, it’s about the first Kalandar’s tale . His father is a King and his uncle is a King too . So ,he is very friendly with his cousin. One day ,his cousin let he help a favor. After that ,he was very regret , but he didn’t know,what to do .So, he go to home. On the way home, he was arrest by the counselor who has enemies with him .After hurt his left eye,he escaped .Because nowhere to go ,he return to his uncle’s kingdom and tell him what happened . Soon after , the counselor occupation of the city which ruled by his uncle . So he left there and arrived here .On the rood, he meet the other Kalandars .The next is about the second Kalandar’s tale .His story is very strange. He is a king and he is good at calligraphy ,so he is very famous . In that time ,The king of India want to see him, so his father let he go and let some people to protect he. On the way ,they meet the wild travelers , after intense fight, only he alive .So he came to a fair city and he meet a tailor and the tailor give he a ax to help he alive .Then ,he meet a beautiful girl in the hall ,who was arrest by a monster, so he have some mistake, finally he become a ape .Soon after he came another kingdom ,and the princess make me return that make the monster angry ,so they had a fight ,which hurt my left eye .For the same reason I came here too. Then, it’s about the third Kalandar’s tale .he also is a king,andthe son of a king .He set out once on a twenty day’s voyage, but one night a wind struck them, so he swam to the island alone .One day, he found several men who take some food walking to the forest, and he followed then .Finally, he found a secret door, and enter. In there , he found a boy, they share their own story each other and they become very good friend. But unfortunately, he killed this boy by accident, then he left and come a place where the people very strange. ,because of the curiosity he become the number of them, but because he is not hear the princess, he was punished and his left eye was hurt, he didn’t know where to go,so he came to here too.After that ,it’s about the tale of the three apples .The king asked his royal counselor Ja’afar go down into the city to sympathetic to their needs . On the way , he see a fisherman crestfallen ready to go home, after knowing the difficulty of the fisherman ,he decided to help him .By chance, the fisherman give him a box, which containing a woman corpse, after the king knew this thing , he was very angry, then ,he let Ja’afar arrest the murderer who killed the woman . After investigation found that the man’s wife is suffering from serious illness ,and she want to eat apple, the men spent the skylight to bought three apple to his wife. But because he believe the slave’words, he misunderstanding his wife and kill her .Then the royal counselor begin to look for the slave and make the whole things come to obvious .This part is focuses on the seaman Sinbad who go through seven times soul-stirring life and death test, not only to get the money also was a great spiritual wealth. On the sea of the sea monstrous, Sinbad with his fleet to the sea . In order to the ship in the vast sea to find the sea channel, he willing to pour all his efforts .Although he is on the way to explore encountered setbacks and failures, but he is not afraid of the failure and setbacks, he is again and again to explore the road .Such as at the second voyage ,Sinbad himself adrift on desert island, but he is very brave and smart, in order to be warm he tied himself to the sheep, and when he arrest by the eagle , he fight with it bravely . And the third voyage, he met a ape man, almost be eaten, with his clever, eventually defeated the ape men and so on . With a series of difficulties, he finally return his motherland .After that ,is about Aladdin. Aladdin is a hero of the story is not the father of the children. Before, Aladdin is very lazy, He does not like work and he does not like work One day Aladdin’s uncle ,Maghrabi,arrives in the city.He gives Aladdin and his mother much gold,buys Aladdin a beautiful new coat,and wants to help them.But in fact, Maghrabi is not Aladdin’s uncle.He is a magician from Morocco,he wants to find an enchanted lamp.He knows the lamp is in a magical garden under the ground,near a city in Arabia.Only a poor boy from the city can get into the garden and find the lamp.And that boy’s name is Aladdin. After finding the lamp, Aladdin see the magic serpent. Know the evil magician magic isvery strong, but he also wanted the incomparable power of the lamp, so as to achieve the purpose of controlling the whole world.Therefore, Aladdin took the lamp from the magician. Aladdin through the lamp lamp God's help, he became brave and strong. Finally, Aladdin finally defeated the magician.The next story is named Ali Baba and Forty Thieves. Ali Baba in an accident opportunity to discover the secrets of the robber buried treasure , so after the thief go ,he steal some of the treasures .After his greedy brother know this thing, he also want to take some treasure .Knowing the argot ,he came to that place ,but when he want to left ,he forget the argot, so he be found and killed .In addition,the robbers also find Ali Baba knew the secret, so they want to kill him too. With the help of MoJiNa ,he defeat the robber again and again ,and kill all of then .Finally,Ali Baba and his friends live a happy life .With the Ali Baba’s story is end , Scheherazade had borne the king three male children , and the king release she .So Scheherazade stop the king kill the woman successful .And she also had a happy life .After reading this book , I learn a lot .Such as when I have difficult in the life ,I will overcome it do my best ,just like Sinbad .In short, this book of fairy tales, I realized: to be honest, can not account for other people's cheap, should strive for. Also understand the problems encountered do not stress, fear, as long as you work hard, have a solution to any difficulties.
