Most children start school at the age of five,The New Zealand government regulations, the age of six to children under the age of 16 must go to School, including Primary School (Primary School) and high School (Secondary School). The country's six hundred and sixty thousand primary and middle school students study in more than two thousand eight hundred national primary and secondary schools. 8% of the primary and middle school students have no background in English. And t here is no charge for public schools in New Zealand, but parents need to uniform pay cost and provide lunch for the children. Besides, New Zealand education institutions are divided into Tertiary Institution, including University, the comprehensive technical college or polytechnic and the college of education; secondary school; Primary School and private training institutions. On the other hand, the New Zealand government set up a variety of difficult allowance to encourages adults continue to accept higher education. It is said that New Zealand citizens in 20 ~ 40 years old received higher education and a certificate of the people is more than 40% of the total number of citizens. And according to New Zealand law, it is unnecessary for them to take loan prob lems into consideration if they couldn’t find a job after graduation. In terms of what I am interested in education of New Zealand, I think it is their advanced educational concept. For example, in New Zealand, the student is the center of teaching and learning. The focus of education lies in how students experience and explore in the learning .In the process of learning, as a result of learning and teaching is based on the students and teachers, students and students, and students and their environment of communication and interaction between, therefore, the active participation of students is very important. In my opinion, China should also study this educational concept.Meanwhile, I'm interested in New Zealand culture. New Zealand is a country of diversity, much of contemporary New Zealand culture is derived from British roots. It was also affected by American, Australian and Maori cultures, European cultures and Asian cultures. Also, New Zealand society advocated freedom of speech and religion, and everyone is equal. As is known to all, the Maori is the first group of inhabitants in New Zealand. Therefore, Maori culture is a very important part of New Zealand culture. Maori has a long history and splendid culture. Maori language has a unique sense of poetry and musical. It is an official language of New Zealand. Music and dance are an integral part of Maori culture ,the Maori love traditional songs and dance. In addition to the music and dance, in terms of art, wood carving is the cultural characteristics of the margin. Nowadays, wood carvings has become the best gift to give. The influence of Maori, also European and Asian cultures makes New Zealand a colourful and vibrant place with many different customs and food to enjoy. For exam ple kiwi in New Zealand has already been famous around the world.Further more, I think china ought to learn the advantages of the New Zealand education and culture. Only by developing education and culture, can China become a rich and powerful country.。
